It's beautiful. In the previous episode Kim told Lalo that he had no one he could trust, and then when Lalo brought Nacho to his home thinking he could trust him, he was betrayed.

The scene with the icecream. When Jimmy says to leave of the mint chip and Kim puts it in her bowl . The mint chip is like it represents being in the 'game'. And Jimmy has doubts so he doesn't want it but Kim wants to double down so she has his mint chip icecream and hers too .

The 2 index fingers shooting at the end by Kim.. just as Jimmy did at the end of last season.

Kim knew Jimmy was about to break up with her, so she had two choices: embrace his criminal lifestyle, or leave the relationship. She chose the former. And she justified it to herself by saying it was to help pro-bono clients.

Apologies for the long comment, it's spurned by how incredible your reactions are and how much they make me think. You are brilliant and I can't thank you enough for sharing your reactions with all of us! That scene with Jimmy trying to convince Kim to stay in the hotel is such a beautiful comparison to last episode - Kim desperately wanted to spend the time with Jimmy, to stay put and take stock, but he had to keep on moving. Now in this scene it's reversed - Jimmy is the one desperately trying to contain Kim, to have it just be him and her after the traumatic experience they've gone through, but Kim is the one who feels like she needs to push through. Both of their desperation is built off of fear for the other person, but neither of them can just sit with it, sit with each other. It's a fascinating juxtaposition of how while they in some ways are incredibly aligned with their trauma response, but it doesn't necessarily line up in a way where they can truly support each other. Also the scene where Howard tells Kim about Jimmy is so wonderfully messed up all because of timing. Potentially before all of the cartel stuff Kim might be slightly more receptive, but she just talked down Lalo, and Jimmy just survived a shoot out. Of course Howard's biggest concern being Jimmy ranking him is going to be hilarious to her, because she is privy to so much information Howard isn't. The transgressions Howard is raising are in a completely different league to what her and Jimmy have just dealt with, even if what he says in a lot of ways is right. I think Kim is so sick of being underestimated that she just says fuck it. Everyone keeps saying "oh but that's not you, you wouldn't do that" to the point that she is now almost on a mission to prove them wrong because why can't she? I love this show more then anything because so often all of the characters are right but also unintentionally so so wrong.

Something that resonated with me is how Kim really took issue with people taking that autonomy from her, how even Jimmy said 'you wouldn't like this', and her response was 'wouldn't I?' directly after the Howard interaction. It feels very much like an emotional response as opposed to just a 'this is how I feel/am'. I love that stuff, and it really makes you question what's ACTUALLY going on with certain characters versus what's motivated in them by events that trigger them. And THANK YOU by the way, please don't apologise for long comments, I make long videos so it's all good with me :) 💙 thank you for taking the time.

@@TylerAlexander It has been brewing for a long time. Kim is always underestimated and discounted. Even reactors do it. Her usual response has been to overachieve. The only ones that appreciated her were Schweikart and Paige.

This is sort of like reverse Jimmy. Kim goes down this path because everyone expects her to behave, while Jimmy's just been seen as this man who cannot behave which is what caused him to misbehave.

I've been watching your reactions since BB but haven't really commented before, but I just wanted to take a moment to say how excited I am to see what you think of season 6, it's been a long time coming :) You always pick up on the hints and nuances and have a lot of insightful things to say, some that even I hadn't thought about before, and I appreciate that because a lot of reaction channels are just not like that

I love the subtlety of the moment where Jimmy says they should check out and go home and Kim says, "We already paid for the night." The fallacy of sunk costs, indeed.

I’m so excited to see your takes on the next season! Hope you have your flamingoes in order, because it gets intense (intense enough for Bob Odenkirk to go into cardiac arrest LMAO - that’s dark, I’m sorry 😂). But watching it live and experiencing it with others online was such a personal joy for me, and I know you won’t disappoint. I’m repeating myself here, but I just love how you try to see things from everyone’s perspective. Like, OF COURSE Howard is trying to help (in such a misguided way), and OF COURSE Kim cannot simply accept it after everything that’s happened. Just, chef’s kiss!

Kim straight up scared me this episode. It was like falling on your back from a height: it leaves you breathless and in pain. The fear comes from knowing that she's smart enough to really inflict some damage if she wanted to. Even Jimmy was completely stunned by her attitude.

Looking back at Kim's scenes with Howard, their interactions have gotten progressively worse. This latest interaction hit her in two ways that really set her off: someone saying something negative about Jimmy, and someone attempting to take autonomy from her. Howard did both at the same time, and she's still fuming from that while talking about ways to ruin Howard's career in order to force the Sandpiper case to settle early. It is interesting to see all of that going on while simultaneously Jimmy is actually being really self-reflective. He doesn't quite have the spine to just say no. If Kim wants to do it, he'll go along.

I love the massive contrast between Kim before speaking to Howard and after. Right after she speaks to Howard she does start acting a lot more Jimmy-like, saying they should make the most of the hotel then going into slipping Kimmy mode. It's almost like Howard is to Kim what Chuck is to Jimmy.

You talking about how Jimmy telling Kim he's bad for her was Chuck talking got me thinking. Chuck may be the reason has doubts, but Chuck is also the reason Jimmy went onto do bad things. This got me thinking about the parallels between Jimmy and Mike where both of them have gone down a darker path because they've just accepted that they're immoral people.

I had the exact same feelings about Nacho and Lalo! In any other show those could have been great buddies and Nacho absolutely had the potential to make it big in the Cartel.

Howard was somewhat on track, but man is he dense. Not only is "You have no agency in your life" one of the worst approaches to reach Kim, he himself is the worst choice of messengers considering her time at HHM.
