yeah if you made a mistake ,just try it again. thats something i have learned from Bird. Bird has failed to connect double time phrases so many times but his solo is still flowing like stream

I've felt the same for the longest time, knew he was insane but just didn't like to listen to him. At some point a few years ago, I gave his music another try (was either steps ahead or brecker brothers) and I got so hooked, I cannot stop listening to it. Maybe it will randomly come to you, too, it's amazing when it does 😄

That's ok, you get the music you like. Sometimes you can just sit back and appreciate other players like you are doing right now though. I never got john coltrane but I appreciate and think highly of him as a player. Influence and play-wise. Same with MB honestly but my tenor teacher loved him a lot and forced me to listen to MB every week, probably why I have an aversion to his music now lol. He will always be one of the greats though imo.
