With the new stem, I decided to just do barspins for today's video.
Why?
Because a shorter stem makes barspins feel so much better.
Not just straight barspins, but 180 bars is so much easier.
Actually, I started to feel I could courage up and work my way toward a truck.
Fun fact: I already pulled a few trucks, but that was like 15 years ago 😊
Cheers for watching.
Yo! 🤘

You young riders i find utterly astounding. I rode hardcore from 91-2013 and doing a barspin or a 360 or a suicide or one of my trademark flatter than flat tabletops truly made me feel as i might just make it. Damn how times change. The young today are simply great. I still think hoffman dmc tabron mirra bestwick miron are the bosses though, hahaha.

cheers bro! 🤘🤘 yeah, i totally feel you 😊 things change, even for me, i'm not the youngest anymore, and what those in their late teens and early 20s can do is beyond amazing. all those dudes will be the greatest forever, that's for sure haha

@@rokkrivec - You're Welcome.... Hey I can't point any fingers because when I ride that's about all I do but that's because I'm 42 and I don't have anyone to ride w/ so I do tricks I enjoy doing. Plus it would suck to crash and get hurt when trying to be a dad too so I have an excuse.... LoL 😂
@rokkrivec
@rokkrivec 3 месяца назад
@@xpndblhero5170 for as long as you're having fun, that's all that matters. personally, i really enjoy riding alone, especially in the mornings when skateparks are usually empty 😊 things were different 15 years ago, when i couldn't image myself riding alone haha. don't think about crashing, that's my first advice. my second advice would be to work on mobility and stretching, and if you have time, strength exercise will also help you prevent injuries. keep it up bro! 🤘

@@rokkrivec - Yeah I'm familiar w/ empty parks but mine are empty because no one rides and I'm not worried about crashing, I'm worried about being hurt while trying to take care of my special needs son.... As for strength training, I get my strength from riding BMX. Especially since I'm in my early 40s now, I've been riding for almost 25 years now so my joints sound like I'm walking on corn flakes.... 😂
@rokkrivec
@rokkrivec 3 месяца назад
@@xpndblhero5170 bmx may give you some strength but it's not something that works long-term, at least you must introduce stretches to keep the joints, ligaments and muscles going. and the more stretch you are, the stronger you are. it's an explosive sport so everything tenses up if not properly taken care of. i'm 37 and ride bmx for around 24 years, even went under the knife once. i started introducing some exercise outside of bmx quite early on for which i'm super thankful (still, i wish i'd do more). but i spend working on my body even harder now and feel better than i did when i was 20 years old. i definitely want to ride my bike for a very long time. it's nice to see that some pros are starting to share what they do outside of bmx more and more, but i think it's shown too little. it's a sport in the end. i totally feel you bro about the special needs, but we can always do a little more for ourselves and optimize this and that to keep everything in balance, especially our minds 😊 (p.s. your "corn flakes" joints can be fixed unless they're too physically damaged.)
