See, even with how crazy the world is, knowing that there's people who make things like this purely for other's enjoyment restores my faith in humanity and brings me joy.
Fun Fact: Order 65 was the Clones arresting the Chancellor. It just took a majority vote of the Senate to enact. Meaning the Clones were a massive liability to Palpatine the second it looked like he might lose the Senate's support.
It's strange that this actually applies, the clones and droids are the only ones that can truly understand each other, manufactured and programmed to fight and die, simply tossed aside afterwards. The idea of them going somewhere only the know just makes so much sense.
@@RohanChubbMore like they repainted their armor back as anti oppression to the Empire. They still have their personality and humanity, dont wanna be slave anymore
Ezra Bridger: “I know the Jedi were wiped out, the clones were decommissioned, and the droid army was just shut down. The Clone War ended, but why? If none of you won, who did?”
My dad never made me one I made myself one because he simply put it on because he hasn’t watched it in while and I didn’t like it, but 5 years later I watched it again and I fell in love with it.
This song had no effect on me as a 10-year-old when it came on the radio. I thought it was repetitive and boring. But now, almost 20 years later, I'm on the verge of tears at 2am because of a Clone and a Clanker.
Same dude. I was so small for when my father started listening to it, and thought the same as you. May not be in my 30s, but I still remember that song, and it made me tear up to relive my childhood like this. The fact that the only game I used to play at that age was Lego Star Wars (the complete saga) made it even better
This is supposed to be funny why is it giving me genuine emotions Clone Wars did its job too well. I can’t stop feeling sorry for both sides of the conflict.
Foreal this song video dregs up all those memories of the shows old and new and I don’t mean bad batch I mean the original coke wars and the iteration right after it really made you connect to these tragic characters that have no choice but to kill one another
Now we just need to convince Temuera Morrison (Clone voice) and Matt Wood (BD voice) to do an actual cover of the the song. Temuera seems like a funny chill dude. He’d probably do it for a laugh.
Listen to the Arthur morgan ones its crazy how good they are, i can totally see why many actors in almost every field of media is striking. These videos are hilarious though cannot deny that
It’s because it’s mimicking the original. It therefore mimicked the changes in ton and inflections of the original. This is definitely a very well trained ai tho
This concert took place at a clone wars memorial sometime after the fall of palpatine with veterans from both sides of the conflict, that is how it happened, I feel it in my bones.
Now I want to see a short story about a clone and a battle droid reuniting after the war and realizing they were both used as tools, and finding common ground.
“I can’t believe he didn’t cry during titanic? Do boys even have feelings?” *Me and the boys crying at midnight listening and understanding this song for the first time ever and how this heartfelt song fits perfectly with the two characters portrayed*
i cannot believe we already have an animation for this masterpiece of a song. watching this put a smile on my face, even after i had just been crying for like an hour
ai art isn't theft its using inspiration from what it can find which is just what people do, taking inspiration falls under free use; say if i were to draw a picture of the mandolorian i would get a bunch of reference images. if i were to base my drawings off of that that wouldn't be theft; now whether it has emotion or not that can be debated but in the emotion category "real" art doesn't have much either("take the money and run" "Onement VI")
B1s and Clones realizing that they are both literally made for each other, is so deep to think about, they have both come to the revelation that they need each other for mutual purpose.
I had a table top RPG campaign session set in a star wars setting and i had a former clone trooper and a rejected “experimental alternate model” B1 that were a extremely close duo expressly because they both eventually realized this and learned it also made them Shockley in tune with each other in combat.
That climactic crescendo - that scream of anguish. It's like all the frustrations and trauma of the Clone Wars and how they were tossed aside afterwards from every Clone and Droid screamed out.
This always makes me think of an old clone getting ready to pass away, putting on his armour for the first time in years, going to the site of his fiercest battlefield, walking through the dead still grave yard of his past, finding a clanker shut down sitting up right, putting his helmet on one last time an dying right there DC-15A in his arms, where he was meant to all those years ago with his brothers
I love the progression of this piece trought time: First the original comes out, then someone makes an AI Cover with a B1. Then, someone makes the clone version. After that, another person puts them together to make the Audio. And at last, here we have the animation. Its poetic how the community came together to create this little Gem the same way Droids and Clones did to sing It. Now, we wait to discover if and how It will evolve from here on out..
The clone sounds like a underground rock singer god in the making. The droid is the older artist on his final tours boosting the next generation, while his voice strains, he puts all the effort in to help the guy up next.
Why is this shit so emotional. Like I feel like the battle droids and clones meet years later and realize they were both pawns and had more in common than they thought
And if a droid broke command this shit could be cannon cause like they were both manufactured and programmed for war then kinda just thrown away afterward so they would understand eachother
Just beautiful. Got gooesbumps. Only change i would have needed would be them putting their arms on each shoulders, hug, and then do the "Roger Rogering" together,
Funny enough, there’s actually an episode in Star Wars Rebels that has Rex and some Battle Droids put their differences aside to take out a squad of Stormtroopers together.
In this context the line “Is this the place that I’ve been dreaming of!” It’s hard because we know all clones had a nightmares of a never ending battle.
I remember shortly after I was recovered from the ruins of Tipoca City, this song was always played once a day on the holonet radio. I’ve always believed that the clones and droids singing were the first to defect.
I like to imagine these 2 soldiers are singing this as the clone learns the true weight of his atrocities against the Jedi and the B-1 comes to terms with the fact that he's being discarded, forgotten, and left with no purpose now that the war is over
This the perfect culmination of the community's work, it sounds terrific. Thematically, two opposing foot soldiers singing like this together, when you know the history of the Clone Wars, it's actually quite touching. I'm in love with this cover.
Why is this so amazing? Seriously this is simply astounding, just imagining how the Clones and The Droids could connect on the fact they were just disposable tools to both of their sides is making me legitimately emotional, why isn't there a Comic Series or something about a Clone and a Droid trying to survive together during the Empire's Reign? It'd be beautiful.
A droid and a clone teaming up to survive on a hostile, forgotten planet, going on adventures, saving each other, and the droid remembers all this as he sings this song while laying his old clone brother to rest. And his battery goes dead one last time, with nobody around to charge it.
I've been listening to this for a whole day, and will continue to do so. If you really think about it, it's really sad about what happened, they were just pawns for their overlords. They are victims in the battle, there were no winners
It’s crazy that this song was put on the map 10+ years later because we all saw a emotionally torn Clanka on the battle field, now it’s turned to this masterpiece
Finally, some time after order 66, the clones and the clankers put their differences aside and began a band. Travelling the galaxy to perform and show that anybody can work together, if they only just try hard enough.
I'm a little shocked what emotional impact this has on me. I'm going through a pretty hard time right now and the lyrics perfectly describe how I felt for the last couple of weeks. Hearing the voices which accompanied me through my childhood takes me back to these simpler times and comforts me a lot. It's bittersweet really, and I can't believe I'm actually saying this about an STAR WARS AI COVER OF A MELANCHOLIC POP SONG.
I walked across an empty land I knew the pathway like the back of my hand I felt the earth beneath my feet Sat by the river, and it made me complete [Pre-Chorus] Oh, simple thing, where have you gone? I'm getting old and I need something to rely on So tell me when you're gonna let me in I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin [Verse 2] I came across a fallen tree I felt the branches of it looking at me Is this the place we used to love? Is this the place that I've been dreaming of? [Pre-Chorus] Oh, simple thing, where have you gone? I'm getting old and I need something to rely on So tell me when you're gonna let me in I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin [Chorus] And if you have a minute, why don't we go Talk about it somewhere only we know? This could be the end of everything So why don't we go Somewhere only we know? Somewhere only we know? [Pre-Chorus] Oh, simple thing, where have you gone? I'm getting old and I need something to rely on So tell me when you're gonna let me in I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin [Chorus] And if you have a minute, why don't we go Talk about it somewhere only we know? This could be the end of everything So why don't we go? So why don't we go? Ooh-aah, oh [Outro] This could be the end of everything So why don't we go Somewhere only we know? Somewhere only we know Somewhere only we know
I love rhe wholesome "roger roger" from the clone to the droid and then the droid returning. It's like a "Good job, i respect you" "thank you" or a "you good" "yeah man"
I loved it. It brought tears to my eyes. Also that the Clone Trooper and B1-Battle Droid sang with Light Sabers, instead of actual microphones is hilarious.
I literally can't stop watching this. It's _so_ good. First off, it's kinda a fitting song for the Clones and Droids to sing: the war was their life, and they struggle when they can't find their purpose anymore. Second, the presentation is amazing. The low-quality models add an amateur humour (like the out of sync drummers), but what sells it for me are the singers' poses. They're janky, but slouch depressedly. And yet several times they straighten their backs and hold their heads high in the face of each other, as if neither wants to fully show their loss without the other army's presence challenging their existence. Since they're the ones in call and response with each other, the musicians refuse to look at their leads. Good soliders follow orders, and orders were to kill the enemy. So they allow themselves to get lost in their playing, just as Clones turned on potential defectors so easily. It just looks so friggin hilarious to see a budget model try to look begrudging anyways. And the camerawork. It's very committed to who's in the spotlight at that time, even omitting the Drummer Droid since drums actually aren't playing that bit at first. Third, the _music._ I tried listening to the original after i heard this, but this _is_ the definitive version for me. The Clone is struggling to make himself audible out of shame. The Droid sounds physically incapable of singing with such empathy, so the tone is strained and unlike the Clone's, forced in a loud cry as hard as he possibly can to make anything work. They're also mediocre (if not accurate) rigs, which adds to the humour, but I unironically love the Droid's voice. But better still is the back and forth, so neither is exposed to the mic for too long to hurt our ears. The song gets increasingly better as they begin to waver on long word notes, too, and the key change. Just, phenomenal. Somehow a freaking meme displays Republic fallout and sells a cover magnificently, all while being a funny "Look at the robot trying to do this" joke.
I've been waiting for them to sing "Somewhere on Kamino" at least once instead of "Somewhere only we know" but this is amazing either way lmao. Great work!
I just felt the biggest rush of nostalgia I’ve ever had listening to this. Like almost on the verge of tears. This was absolutely and beautifully amazing
HEAR ME OUT a Star Wars story about a clone being sent into forced retirement after order 66, he finds a group of rouge droids and clones and they start a band together singing about their traumas and happy memories lmaooo
“You’re listening to the Grand Army of the Republic broadcast, the voice of the outer rim. This next song goes out to the Mud-Jumpers of the 224th, slugging it out on Mimban. Keep your heads down and your seals tight, boys.”
This just makes me happy the world has been a pretty bad place lately and this little video makes me just so happy and it restores my faith in humanity so much it makes me wanna keep pushing more and more foward and it makes me feel better knowing that there is people in the world who create videos like this for pure entertainment thank you
