Anne Middleton was inspired by the song, Somewhere, from West Side Story, to write a poem for the finale of the special Hope Theatre Café summer concert. The song begins, “There’s a place for us…” - Anne wanted to express what that place might be like and how we could possibly live in a world like that; with no more fighting and hatred, where people aren’t judged by their name or who are they are, where all are welcome and it’s safe to be yourself - and this was the result…
