Thanks for the reply. Enjoy your vids. I'm a truck driver on the road and won't get home for a couple of weeks. I have ordered and won an ebay bid and will have the 2018 APBA FB set, the Strat 1971 and 2018 sets waiting for me. Can't wait to get started.
Yes, I know they are d6's. I am playing a d10 game and it has kind of permeated most references to d-anything lately. Another correction, when you roll 1-3, you refer to either the ball carrier's or the QUARTERBACK's card, not the intended receiver. You only look at the intended receiver's card when the QB card instructs you to do so. And, yes, 11 offensive player cards. There may be more players that might qualify for a card. You can order the Nameless Player Cards from Strat-O-Matic to fill any perceived voids in your roster. Anywho, enjoy the video.
I believe you can try one from his furtherst range, up to 63(?) yards I think, where a roll of 2 is good. You cannot attempt a field goal which is greater than 63 yards long. You can attempt a field goal that is longer than the listed range on the place kicker’s card, as long as it is not longer than 63 yards. This “desperation” type of kick is considered good if the red dice total 2.
on the running portion of the cards, I noticed under the "Wrong" column, some of the entries had 2 outcomes, like: +2 (+12). What is the result in parens represent?
I have forced it in a little over an hour using an egg timer set to 15 minutes for each quarter, stopping only after a TD or a score. Personally, I take two hours to play a football game at a comfortable place, Strat, APBA, either way.
