It doesn't ever get better than that. Son Seals what a legend. Saw him maybe 25 times from 1980 till his last show in Boston. Even chatted with him and shook his hand. He said keep playing son , it will come ha, I was so happy to meet him
Seal's was one bad ass…I did a show with him when i had a production company and he blew everyone away with his string work! a couple pretty good players were there (edger winters, otis rush, and albert collins) and they were all over him back stag! We lost a Legend when he past….
Edgar winter you mean johnny winter? I thought Edgar winter plays saxaphone or something but i didnt know he played guitar? But that doesn't mean he wouldn't be all over this legend back stage..
Saw him early maybe mid-80’s at the Bayfront Blues Fest in Duluth, Minnesota. The last encore song the band did to close out the show was “Sweet Home Chicago”, and it was the best version of that song I’ve ever heard. My buddy Mike and I were right up front stage right, and Son melted our faces off with the solo.
Consider myself Blessed having seen The Son Seals Blues Band all those nights at The Speakeasy on Norfolk Street. The Speakeasy had great sound and cheap Beer. Blessed. "Live and Burning" sounds just like those great nights. Unforgettable.
