I think what makes Son Seungyeon's voice so identifiable is the sheer output and large resonance she's able to carry so high within her mixed voice. Very few people in general have the ability to support so high in the soprano tessitura. When you're correctly trained in the mixed register, you're able to blossom where most sopranos today could never. She's one of the best young vocalists out today, not in K-Pop, but in general.

The best voice around these days. Seungyeon said afterwards that she neary fainted during this performance because she put the all energy she had into this song. Outstanding talent. Park Kiyoung won this contest as the sentimental and experienced favourite, but i was surprised Seungyeon did not take first place with this incredible performance.

never seen and heard anyone like her in Kpop world. Aside from Ailee :) She's really a belter. her sudden high notes does not sound so sudden, and does not ruin the whole song even if it's sudden. i keep opening my mouth to her unexpected high, and then higher notes :)

As a Mamamoo fan, I'm thankful to Immortal Songs for introducing me to such incredible performances. Son Seungyeon seems very kind, but I get the feeling she's not always happy competing with Mamamoo. They are of similar age, and Mamamoo has popularity. But, man, this woman has talent in spades and I'm so glad to have discovered it. Such thrilling and touching performance.

I think, if she worked on her head voice a little more, she would be better than even Ailee. in my opinion seungyeon is able to belt easier/doesn't strain like Ailee but Ailee has a beautiful head voice. I tried not to sound biased I'm a big fan of both :))
