I was comped back in 2000 at the old San Francisco steakhouse in San Antonio. My new girlfriend didn’t talk much the rest of the dinner and kind of just stared at me. I had told her I played a guitar and sang for a living but, that dinner scored major points for me.

Is Conan hung over? Got a little crazy at the irish pub last night? One pint, chatting up strangers, another pint, politics gets brought out, during another pint, fight breaks out, makes up clinking a fresh pint with who you just fought, some darts, a pint, a shared appetizer, another pint, last call, quick last pint, rideshare home at 2 am, sing some irish Diddys on the way home, with driver trying to sing along to a song he doesn't know, fall over a hedge going to the front door, eat something unhealthy from the fridge, pass out on the couch at 4, crawl out of bed at 7, clean up, orange juice and toast, get to the studio, start the show, sona pipes in after you launch the broadcast and you fall back out of your chair and headphones as her belting words slapped your face and crushed your skull. Wtf, sona?! She was obviously wide awake, slept good, is healthy and was ready to start the show, and your degenerate lush lump of a pickled puss was in a sad state that couldn't handle that early morning energy. Lol

I can! It was wild when the South Bay one opened up summer 2016. The Valley Fair mall got irritated by the folks loitering, waiting to get a table, so they actually allowed reservations b/c it was interfering w/ shopping at the mall. The ones in Bangkok all had waits & no reservations. However, the one in Sydney, Australia was so easy to get into that I went twice! 😋

Stupid question: Why do podcasters wear headphones while talking? I get why the audio tech needs them, but everyone else is just talking to each other in the same room, just a few feet apart. I'm sure there's a good reason, but it escapes me, I must admit.

They don't have to, but a lot of the time an audio clip will be played and then everyone has to put on their headphones and it kills the flow of conversation. I hear a lot of podcast where the guest won't wear headphones, then the host has to tell them to put them on to listen to something.
