The moment I heard it, I knew that if I ever see Conan in person which is extremely unlikely. I will murmur CHAaaaaaaz immediately just loud enough for him to hear it.
The whole long "Crazy Conan Lady" loop that starts at 1:01 and ends at 4:29... wow, man. He spewed so much brilliantly detailed absurdity and them remembered to bring it all home to resolve it by finally asking Sona how she likes being called the "Crazy Conan Woman", which she isn't even called in the first place. CONAN IS AN ACTUAL MADMAN.
Staying relevant is one thing, a lot of people in Hollywood manage to stay relevant. But staying kind and upstanding is quite another thing, and Conan is one of the only people able to do that.
its crazy how sona cant remember where the word "SHAZZ" came from from in a later episode of the podcast.. she was really wasted AF with Gourley's concotion🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂
@@bingusbongus8426 I guess you are right but then how comes Matt had no problem remembering or is it because Sona's tolerance was low after giving birth??😅😅😅
Conan has hit his stride. He will be listed along with Jonathan Winters, Robin Williams, Buddy Hackett and Myer Goldschlagger, the greats of American comedy.
This is even better than the Conan show and that was one of the best. They way they just follow a thought wherever it may go is just brilliant. No script, no guidelines - just go!
I have watched this so many times!!! If a genie in a bottle appeared to me and said I had just one wish it would be to hang out like this with Conan and crew for an evening. Not live forever, Not ridiculous wealth, just to hang out with these people!! ♥
I know they're kinda joking but I've always found Sona and her name kinda unforgettable! I hope she knows that she's not just the crazy Conan lady for some of us.
I can understand why they drink, seeing this incredible effort to distract Conan from playing the guitar (though I don’t know why because Conan plays awesome guitars)
In case anyone does not know, Norman Fell had a very long and productive career in many films and tv series before becoming Mr. Stanley Roper. It IS important to know actors as human beings and not just their roles.
“Esso” is meant be pronounced “S-O” because it was originally used by Standard Oil of New Jersey after the break-up of the company, basically an attempt to grab the crown of the old Standard Oil through marketing.
And then it merged with Mobil, aka Standard Oil of New York, and became ExxonMobil, totally not a slap in the face of the antitrust action that split the Standard Oil company up into 34 companies the first place.
Coincidentally, Chazz Palminteri was the first guest when I saw Late Night with Conan live in February 2001. The second guest was Jerry O'Connell, promoting "Tomcats".
1:46 Conan comes up with "chazz". 4:24 Conan concludes prolonged series of excellent riffs seeded by "chazz". Generational comedian. I'm glad that the depth of his abilities are finally showing up frequently. Writers have slowed him down over the years.
Conan: Asks Sona a question Also Conan: without pause spends the next 6 minutes doing a bit and not letting Sona get a word in edgewise. If Sona is the "crazy Conan lady", it's probably b/c Conan made her that way.
It must have been really hard to work for Conan on the show. He seems actually pretty intense and in need of everything being perfect, but when it comes out good, he lavishes the praise. Sona is so pretty
Sona has a humility about her that is refreshing. She knows she is not really a "performer" as such but is there to help Conan. Because of that, Conan trusts her to be herself and she is very sweet and natural.
I'm so glad this is the first result when you type in "Conan O'Brien shazz" on RU-vid. I heard this on the podcast when it came out, and laughed so hard on my drive that I genuinely almost pulled over to finish laughing. Conan's at his best when he's riffing like this, or talking about editing in hardcore pornography with Don Knotts' reaction on Three's Company, but I also don't want to be the guy who goes "Dat should be da show!" I'm a little disappointed they cut out the last bit about Chazz Palminteri, where his publicist is talking to him about the diarrhea.
3:49 because of the ad with the old man eating the food and becoming emotional because he's having the best Italian food since his mama made him the linguini when he was a bambino. Right, Conan? :-p
I Shazz'd when I saw this video pop up. Luckily, I was sitting on a grate. And when I turned around, Conan was there (It's not for me to say why). Double-reverse-Shazz!
I have read the credits since I could read as a boy. ALbums, movies, TV...I just like knowing the people who do this stuff professionally. It can't be THAT weird lol. Sona is fire, btw.
Botany 500 is a brand of menswear and suits that was originally part of a firm based in New York City. The name lives on today as a licensed property by several foreign clothing manufacturers.
Chazz used to come in to a car wash I worked at in the early- mid 90's in NJ. He had a 7 series BMW and wore a Bronx Tale hat. I would drive his car on to the car wash track. He was taller then I thought he would be. I'm 6ft and he was noticeably taller than me.
