Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Video Review 

Which did you pick? I think the Westin is probably closer to the water but I’m sure a lot of that depends on tide and time of year. I like the Sonesta a little better but either choice is a win. If you’re traveling with a family be sure to look at the Vacation Clubs too. Often times they’re comparable in price with way more space. Hope you have a great trip!

I think the Sonesta is a good choice for a weekend get away. I also think it’ll be nice enough for most. It’s a good location on the Island and it’s great bike riding distance to Coligny Plaza. Def recommend staying on the resort side, the view on the resort side makes it feel nicer. Thanks for watching and sharing. Hope you have a great trip!

Thanks for watching. The Sonesta is one of the better Hotel/Resorts in HHI. The other beach front hotels in Hilton Head are The Westin, The Omni, The Marriott Resort and Spa, and the Holiday Inn Beach House. I’d say the Sonesta is 2nd or 3rd among them and the difference is negligible. If your traveling with a family look at Vacation Club properties. Specifically The Marriott Grande Ocean is my fave(remodeled since my vid). Huge units, nice grounds, lots of pools, activities, and a great location in Hilton Head! Good luck!

Thanks for checking it out. Lol, true the lobby at the Omni is weak!🤣 However the Westin and Sonesta are both good properties and you can’t lose either way! The advantage of the Sonesta is a better location because it’s biking/walking distance to Coligny Plaza which may be fun for the family. Otherwise it’s a toss up. (Oh if lobby is important best lobby is Sonesta for sure). Make sure to check Hotwire for your dates. You may find a cheap hot rate. If it’s on the beach in Hilton head it’s usually the Westin or the Sonesta, you can save a lot! Hope you have great trip!

It’s a toss up. I personally like the Omni better. The rooms are studio suites and have a little more square footage which is nice. However the lobby is not fancy and overall a little more old school feeling but nice. The Sonesta has a more modern lobby and better location. The Sonesta is walking distance from Coligny Plaza and has a shuttle there which is nice. If you value walking to shops and restaurants then Sonesta. If you value room space the Omni. If you’re traveling with family also look at Marriott Grande Ocean. That’s my fave HHI property but it’s a vacation Club. Great location and amenities! Hope this helps!

It’s really a toss up depending on what you like. I think the lobby to the Sonesta is nicer and more modern . I think the grounds are a little prettier too. Also the location is better with a nice walk or bike ride to Coligny Plaza. However the Omni has bigger rooms (studio suites) and an adults only pool. I actually like the Omni better but it’s close. Either way I think these are the best 2 hotel choices on the Island. Better than the Westin, Marriott, and Holiday Inn in that order. Hope this was helpful! And congratulations!!

Az21 The Westin and Sonesta are very similar with what they offer. If there’s a significant price difference I’d book the cheaper option. I think the Westin has a better pool, gym, spa, and beach. But I would give the Sonesta the nod in Room, Lobby/lounge, and customer service. I know it disagrees with my scoring in the video but if all things are equal, Westin by a nose. Az21 also I don’t know what your traveling situation is but if you have a family we really enjoyed Marriott’s Grande Ocean. It’s a vacation club property and there you’d get a 2 bedroom, full kitchen, washer dryer and all that Jazz. But there’s only 1 restaurant, the poolside grill and bar which closes at 7. But if you like space, don’t mind cooking or going out, it’s my favorite place so far. Grounds are beautiful, like 6 pools, gym. But not multiple restaurants and spa, it’s not a hotel. If you prefer hotel, the Omni. Good luck on planning your trip!

Thanks for checking out the video! Unfortunately I didn’t grab lots of footage from the gym at the Sonesta. However it’s pretty basic and you can at least get a glimpse of everything that’s available in the video.

I've never stayed at the Sonesta Boca Raton but have generally had good experiences with the Sonesta hotels I've stayed at. But I understand relying on a brand name is not dependable. I hope you have a great trip!

I think the Sonesta Hilton Head is one of the better hotels in HHI, but I understand how someone can see it differently. Sorry you had a bad experience! I do try to represent the hotels fairly.
