Taylor Swift's song killing the vibe happened to a party I went to as well! I was at a 21st; people were fighting over the music to play, and someone played a Taylor Swift song. I think it was a ballad from her first two albums, I think. It killed the vibe immediately, and the atmosphere could not be recovered. Most people were gone within the next 30 minutes, it was quite tragic.
Cheri Oteri appreciation 🙌 gonna check out some Ellen Cleghorne clips. Apparently she did a parody of Des’ree’s You Gotta Be but with the lyrics changed to the OJ case. Yes Will was so great paired up with SNL’s women. I personally loved The Lovahhs
A couple of false equivalences here on Eurovision. Russia attacked Ukraine, while Israel started this war because it was attacked. The gay vs Palestine political argument is silly because over the years the show has become a platform for LGBTQ support, but allowing contenders to wear palestine support stuff while Israel representative is taking part in the competition would have seem threating to that representative. Again, not to diminish the horrific situation in Gaza, but I would agree with you had Israel not been attacked first. I'm sure the organizers were trying to avoid situations of altercations, even though it did get out if hand. Also as far as good songs, the french song, Mon Amour, was just a mesmerizing ballad. The dutch one, Europapa, is quite a bop here in Netherland, even though unfortunately, the guy was disqualified from the competition due to an altercation backstage.
Israel wasn’t attacked first. Gaza is a refugee camp populated by people ethnically cleansed in 1948 in order to create Israel. The universe didn’t begin on October 7th.
