In 1974, a female folk singer revived the song and popularized it. Since, the song has been loved so much by everybody that in 2015 it finally made it into a school music textbook. There is an incredible but true love story related to the folk singer, in which the song played an important role but that needs at least a few more pages. Sohee inserted, in the middle of the performance, a part of a traditional folk song about a young lady praying for her parted love to return and rescue her from an evil local magistrate.
