This video is about Day 6 of our South Korea travel series when we travelled from Seoul to Busan via the famous "Train to Busan." After checking-in in Best Westin Hotel in Haeundae Beach we started exploring Busan, and our first day visit was Busan Air Cruise and BIFF square.
Busan Air Cruise (Songdo Marine Cable Car)
Originally launched in 1964 as Korea's first cable car, the Songdo Beach attraction reopened in 2017, measuring a distance of 1.62km - four times what it was before its 1988 closure. There are 39 cars - 13 of them with glass floors - that traverse emerald waters, offering for surreal views of the hillsides and cliffs. The journey starts from a station next to Songnim Park on Songdo's east side, ending at an observatory station at Amnam Park in the west.
Platforms are located at both Songdo Base Station and Songdo Sky Park, so you can use them freely depending on your destination. However, most people prefer to start from the base station and arrive at Sky Park, enjoying the open view and nature. When you ride in the crystal cabin, where you can see the sea vividly beneath your feet, you will feel dizzy from moment to moment and feel the coolness spread throughout your body.
Sky Park, full of energy with many things to eat, see, and enjoy, is definitely a hot place in Songdo. It is full of cute sculptures, from Dino Adventure, where giant dinosaurs greet you with sounds, to Snail Garden, which catches children's attention.
Directions:
Take metro line 1 to Jagalchi Station, exit 2. Turn left at the corner, walk 50m, and cross the street to Chungmudonggyocharo bus stop. Take buses 7, 26, 71, or 96 and get off at the Songdo Beach bus stop.

BIFF Square
Busan’s modern movie district was originally little more than a pair of cinemas that were built following Korea’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule over half a century ago. However, major renovations took place ahead of the first Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), and the newly transformed district was named BIFF Square on August 14, 1996.
Having been remade into a cultural tourist attraction promoting the advancement of Korea’s film industry, BIFF Square has contributed to Busan’s newfound status as an international cultural tourist city. The 428 meter-long street stretching from the Buyeong Theater in Nampo-dong to the overpass in Chungmu-dong was divided into “Star Street” and “Festival Street,” and on the eve of the festival each year the “BIFF Square Ground Opening” is held on the street. During the ceremony, events such as the hand printing of famous movie celebrities and Nunggot Jeomdeung (snow-flower lighting) take place. A district such as BIFF Square, crowded with first-run theatres in a city, is rare not only in Asia but Europe as well, and for this reason, it holds great potential. In recent years, the square has grown into a more complex area, featuring not only movie theatres but also shops and leisure facilities, attracting growing numbers of young visitors and tourists.
Getting to BIFF Square in Busan
The nearest train / Metro station to BIFF Square is Jagalchi Station, on line 1 of the Metro (exit 7). The walk to BIFF Square is less than 5 minutes.
