You ought to slap some humbucker pick-ups on that strat then it will be as good as it gets. Guys from Slipknot, Marilyn Manson and even some black metal dudes play strats even on live performance and still look sacrilegiously profaning It's all about humbuckers, amps and tweeting. Curvy and pointy guitars are just too cliche for standard image for metallers. For instance, B C Rich has many ideal guitar models for metal musicians but yet it isn't so relevant nowadays. Les Paul and wisdom tooth shape guitars dominate the metal scene.
