So, Sonic 2 Expanded is doing pretty awesome! v0.9 will about have its final updates that will include Sonic + Tails, but not for this particular update you are watching now.

So anyways…
We have decided to release the update early and then release another update that will include Sonic + Tails. Because we have never worked on the player AI before, it can be quite difficult to program, but we have to try.
And one more thing: I wanna give a big thanks to Speedy663 for giving us all of the credits for S2E! Those credits are actually needed because our revival of S2E was very popular, and everyone who used worked on S2E can be happy to see that their name showed up! So, we have completely redesigned the S2E Team credits section of the credits screen on the game.
Sonic 2 Expanded v1.0 will not be worked on until we finish v0.9. Also keep in mind that v1.0 will no longer be open-source as dumb remixes are silly and just a bunch of recoloring that almost everybody hates. Not only that but also so many S2E assets are being constantly stolen which is not OK. And that is why Sonic 2 Expanded will no longer be open-source.
