As you near the alter of the Master Emerald within this altered reality, things start to get intense as it's more of race between you and Eggman as if he created these 7 worlds with just the chaos Emeralds, just imagine what he could do with the Master Emerald, but he was smart as this platform was made and put closer so you couldn't find a faster route, wasting time as he gets closer to harnessing it's power of the Emerald, then he came back to try and stop you. That's the purpose of this level, you like that
