0:05 - 0:14 Those first few seconds of the sound of the rail grinding, the sound of those loops as you grind through them, the sound of the wind blowing as grind at high speed, the yellow detour sign beeping, and the beat of the music is soooo damn indescribable, you can just feel the rush or the "chase" as Shadow chases whomever is at the eclipse cannon.
I love Final Rush and Final Chase purely because of how dangerous they feel, like you’re in an area that’s WAY off limits. This is further enhanced by the fact that almost every time you grind a rail, the camera pans downward a little bit, showing the steep plunge you will take to the surface if you’re not careful. Such a little effect goes a long way!
thats how it is with adventure like games, they tend to be much longer than boost games because they dont have to make so many objects because the character doenst move through it at blazing speeds
Lyrics: I am the ultimate life, a flawless existence Nothing is unpredictable to me, nothing can surprise me I am the mystery of the world, I can tell it by their cold eyes I am the warrior, it's my way to go Give me your huge potential with your fluid motion Just Tell me the truth are you really the ultimate life? Just Nothing is unpredictable to me, oh nothing can surprise me I am the mystery of the world, I can tell it by their cold eyes Just move, it's the time Just move, it's the time for you Just move, it's the time for you Just move, it's the time for you
@@Arkirious Sa2 music sometimes have lyrics that give more insight on the level and character your playing as. In this case, Shadow is trying not to doubt himself and trying to keep his confidence.
By the way, In order to obtain an “A” Rank in Final Chase, you need to acquire a total score of 12000. It would have helped if he had located the gold beetle, which is above the area where you fall and have to avoid meteorites!
This level was always uncomfortable to play for me, especially since I never had a controller for the version I played, and had to use my keyboard. I performed so poorly that I didn't even know what a normal playthrough of the level even looked like.
The music here is better than Final Rush’s, and this is a Shadow level, but I can see why Shadow generations is using Rush’s theme. It’s an easier theme to remix and fits more with the other non-vocal level themes
How are people comparing the Shadow Generations version of the stage to THIS? I’ve never played this game, but it looks 12 times better than the stuff we’ve seen in the Shadow Generations gameplay so far.
This version of the stage isn't exactly fun or well designed. The rail physics in this game have a habit of not wanting work at times when you are trying to hop onto another nearby rail you'll sometimes just not land on them and at times when you are falling from a height and trying to land on a rail the collision detection doesn't register so you just fall through them. Those spinning gravity cylinder things also are not fun as its hard to control Shadow on them and they also have a habit of just not wanting to work causing Shadow to fall off them. Oh and those blue liquid blob monster robots (called Artificial Chaos) don't be fooled into thinking they're easy to deal with. Those things are the worst enemies in the game and they will fuck you over one way or the other with their stupid super long stretchy arms that can hit you a mile away faster before you can have a chance to react.
Knuckles and Rouge the get points if the find the Emeralds with, out hints, Tails and Eggman get points on lock ons, and Sonic and Shadow get points on the cool tricks that they do
I was struggling hard on this level last night and you did so many tricks here i didnt even know existed. I feel like i might be able to make it through now, but the blue dudes are so annoying if your not going fast enough
The green lift cylinder things of whatever theyre called are super broken aswell. But if you somehow manage to actually time all your jumps correctly theyre not really an issue
I’ve so much dread for this level, so many game overs as a kid and when I did beat it it was with 0 rings and a pitiful E rank. Whenever I replayed the levels id give this one a bash but rarely finish it. Beating the hard mode mission a few years back was a great moment of facing my fears
yeah i like it better when the rankings arent just about speed like in generations. if there's one good thing forces did its that they fixed the ranking criteria
I feel like this should have returned in place of green hill virtual reality. It truly was a good stage, albeit a bit too platformery. The sidescrolling wasn't how Shadow was working. Either way, still longer than a Forces stage
I designed a generator in a story I came up with that was similar in spinning drums in this level where they function almost like a hamster on a wheel.
You know, I just played this level today, and I have to say.....it goes like this. At first, I though it was a fun and interesting level, with some clever platforming bits and all, but THEN came that segment at 2:00 were I bullshitly fell off and lost a life for the first time in this playthrough, and THEN came that segment at 1:00 after my second playthogth and after all that, sanity started to happen. After finally beating this nightmare of a level (and only getting a C Rank), I can easily say that this is one of my least favorite levels in this game, next to Security Hall and Mad Space that is. So yea, fuck this level. >:(
this stage is so annoying I came and looked up a play through to see someone do it better than how I did it just to feel some satisfaction cause my god this frustrated me. Music is so good tho
The biggest downfall to modern sonic games is boost. They need to go back to this used of spindash. It makes sonic and shadow play different from others but also allows a lot of launch tricks that boost formula removed
@@kneesurgeryenthusiast6915 for me it was 10. Also im trying to do a 180 emblem playthrough and got all A ranks on shadow missions and some sonic and knuckle levels are all A rank
Actually the level starts about 1/5 of the way into Final Rush, then replaces the big platforming sections with the green tubes, then does the ending set pieces in reverse, and finally adds a bit of new geometry into the level to end the level.
*opens up video and expects to hear a FINAL CHASE music track but then hears the damn hollahoops sounding..... this is just a playthough video... oh... i see....* (more hoolahoops sounds as i type) ... man why they have to have those damn sounds bruh :/ (i can imagine the music at a nightclub or something but then hearing tjose damn hoolahops sounds...) cringe :/
Way harder, Final rush is just grinding rails. This is that plus the damn gravity mechanics of the green cylinders. Even more annoying is when you have to hit enemies just to try to connect to one
