I asked a friend of mine to play this with me, he never really played a Sonic game before so please be kind to him! Also yes, i know this already exist but this mod aims to make the story mode compatible with it, just to clarify. :]
@@irregular_breadstick maybe in steam there is no co-op so you need a mod for playing co-op ( I don’t have steam or a PC , I play sonic adventure 2 in PS3 so I dunno how steam works)
Another thing was I found it wholesome at the beginning, it felt like the older brother was playing as Sonic with the little brother playing as Shadow on how Sonic would wait for him to catch up and as soon as he caught up there would be some trolling or some bonding. Idk, it felt nice.
You know, Character Select Plus allows spawning of a second character by holding start in every mode but stage select(since that has improvements), and with this mod, you can have co op anywhere! If you combine that with RAM editing with a program like Cheat Engine, you can even toggle 2p mode in the level for independent respawns and linked checkpoints ( for speed characters) and independent radars (for hunter characters)! And using the coordinate addresses, you can even create a functional warp system! Pretty cool!
Oooh. I like the idea of this. Now we just need to replace Shadow with Tails (who plays like his Adventure 1 version.) I always liked how Tails followed Sonic around in the 2D games and even Sonic Adventure 1. It made Sonic's series so different from other 2D games at the time where you had to take turns or fight each other. I've always liked Co-Op much more.
Before everyone goes and ask this is not the original multiplayer it's co-op play which means that it's working together but it's during the story mode and not a competitive mode like your thinking
Could we get some bosses footage and you could probably make one of your own bosses that would be great 😊 have no doubt this is going to be a masterpiece

2 Player: Exist officially Co Op: Exist unofficially Definition: 2 Player is basically versus, while co op means playing together in story mode, so stop saying "doesn't that exist already?"
Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t really see SA2 being a game that would greatly benefit from co-op play, other than in the treasure hunter stages. And in this, since the detector seems to only work for Knuckles... It’d also cause troubles on some Sonic stages, since Shadow doesn’t get the bounce bracelet.... and Rouge might struggle on Aquatic Mine, without the Air Necklace thing.
