I love your tutorials. So many techniques shown. Thank you! The tutor at a local sugarcraft class I use to go to said Vanish soap bar is great for removing colour from your hands. She always had one in her kit.

This takes me back! My kids are both thirty somethings, and at one point in their childhood, I had to ban the Sonic game as they were so obsessed! I made a Sonic cake for my sons 31st last year 😀

Another amazing tutorial. When getting an order for a cake like this do you ever have to research it if you're not familiar with it.? I'm not a big video game person. Do I look up the information so I could get the best cake to the person?

Hey, Tracey cute cake. Thanks for all the great tips this week. Are you just using sugar paste or do you add tylo, your figures/ models always look nice and sturdy. Also I was wondering if you could advise me the best way to reattach a dry sugar paste head to a dry sugar paste neck lol. I’ve just spent a couple of days making the Rolling Stones and 2 of their heads have come loose. I did use a cocktail stick but the heads are swivelling like the wee girl in poltergeist 😂😂

Thanks! Most of it is sugar paste (the spikes, legs, arms etc.) I just put a small bit of tylo in the bodies as I needed to get it finished and firmed up :D haha yes, I would remove the neck and make a new one! Or, if you don't want to you can pop some flesh coloured paste in the microwave for a few seconds and a tiny drop of water to make a glue/paste x

Thank you for sharing. I love your tutorials but I do cringe when I see the scalpel on your hand because I had an accident with one and it ended up going through 3 fingers. Fortunately it missed anything to cause long lasting damage. Ever since they scare the heck out of me.

Haha I know, a lot of my stuff is blunt. You'll usually only see me do it in tutorials where I am short on time to get it finished, as its takes precious time to reset the whole camera angle,. move the cake, bring in and clean the mat just for a 2 second cut. I wish I had more time, and more sets of hands haha x
