Y'know, as cool as it was to have Super Sonic back in this game 10 years ago, I'm now realizing that every stage ends by the time you even get 50 rings... Kinda sucks.
This is honestly my main problem with this game, the way Super Sonic is handled. They should have handled it like Lost World did (I know, surprising) where you can still use the wisps as Super, you just change out of the form. Without the wisps like Drill it cuts off so much of the levels.
Well, to be fair, Super Sonic worked like this on Wii too. I’m gonna have a light guess they couldn’t get both things working at once on Wii, but were able to in Gens and Lost World.
Can't argue with this but that said Super Sonic is just an optional bonus here like in Lost World, you don't have to use him. This doesn't bother me personally as I like to speed through Sonic games anyway and considering what you went through searching for all 180 Red Star Rings then playing all Special Zones I like speeding through everything.
@@SMITOSHI the special zones seem to be based on zones from Sonic 1 like for example the Green Emerald zone acts appear to be based on Green Hill Zone.
@@Shadex_Joestar i hope the next game will have 2 endings for do an alternative thing and extra thing.... Was something really cool about the classic games and after adventure BASICALLY we dont have that... (No counting 2D Games)

True, lost world let you do the same minus the final boss and it wouldn't be too op as only the blimps and final boss give enough rings at a decent pace and you'd probably finished the game by time you get super sonic.
They Should make a feature that you are able to use super sonic in the nega wisp armor and and with the color power section you should be able to play as hyper sonic for a moment they should do a update on the game to add the feature
What are you talking about? We could play as super sonic in the most recent sonic games as well like forces and lost world even in original colours you could play as him this didn’t bring back anything
Love the abilitys super sonic has but his aesthetics there are a lot of problems with it like how the homing attack, stomp, and slide auras are blue and not yellow the fact that hands and glove cosmetics disperse is more of a nit pick but would still be nice to have in the game other then that super sonic is a otherwise great addition to the game.
@@autosaver no sometimes it turns blue like when the games music stops and when the Tails save doesn't work sometimes I know there's been a patch and of course your trying to correct me after it but your wrong initial release there was a lot of problems including the super sonic homing attack aura being blue not yellow. Honestly sonic generations probaly had the best super sonic with the actual flying if they tweaked it a little and improved it and added it to other games then it would actually make it more worth the 50 rings
@@dmytro_super yeah I don't use super sonic in generations for that reason it's annoying he loses all his ring in seconds so it's better to just use faster speed and other buffs instead unless u have it on pc than u can just mod the game
Super Sonic seems to have been give a buff to his skill set compared to the older games. while he's always been invincible and faster than normal Sonic this game just upped the ante by giving his Sonic Boost skill infinite energy and Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Generations didn't have that.
Unlocked him yesterday in the PC version. I'm at 124 Red Rings on the Xbox One X version. I forgot how much of a pain unlocking Super Sonic was in this game tbh.
The didn’t “mess up” there’s just a handful of glitches which is natural with literally every game ever. Most games are gonna have glitches week 1 of release, I don’t get why this isn’t common knowledge.
Super sonic is the best thing in the game btw if a generations ultimate comes out do you think they will fix super Sonics drain of rings and just imaging just might come if this game happens
I always felt like I’m the only one who doesn’t see the appeal of sonic colors , I played it recently and its not bad but not great either , so I’m genuinely curious what are some things that people like ?
I love Super Sonic, but man. . .playing him in OG Colors, his details make him look freaking awesome! I look at Ultimate’s Super Sonic. . .he looks kinda lame. So many of his awesome details are missing. Like the constant yellow streak whenever he’s moving! His aura is also severely lacking. Not to mention it keeps vanishing! Overall, from a visual standpoint, Super Sonic in Ultimate is inferior to the original.
Mostly exaggerating but audio glitches are always there. And if you want to see that crazy epileptic bug you have to open every hub in the game and only then enter the level (works only on switch)
No, it’s not that buggy, aside from a glitch where the music for the wisps sometimes doesn’t start up until you pause and unpause the game (same for the breakable scoreboard section, except you can’t pause there). Note that I am talking about the PC version now. The other versions might have glitches I’m unaware of.
I have both Ps4 and Switch version. The most criticized is the Switch version but I have played it and ran on the occasional glitch here and there, nothing 2 or 3 patches can’t fix.
Exaggerating more likely. But there's major glitches that actually harm people if they have epilepsy. Hopefully that mainly get fix pretty soon in upcoming patch.
Super Sonic is so lame in this game. It just feels wrong keeping super sonic and wisps as different game modes, specially since the wisps still show up if you're playing as Super Sonic. It doesn't even feel like a reward either since you barely get to enjoy playing as him in most stages and he can't even get an S rank outside of Terminal Velocity lol Having to go back to the satellite to change between normal and super is annoying too
That's my gripe. There are certain places in acts you can't get to without Wisps. I remember a specific place that's tough to get through as Super since it's heavily reliant on Wisps.

@@always_serpico B-Boost A-Jump X-Stomp those are the controls on wii so im guessing that its the same defaults B should be jump Y should be boost and A should be stomp (if using nintendo buttons)
Actually the Nintendo switch version is a OK to play the only thing you has to worry is lag and then again it's rare the seizure glitch dose not exist as well (I know this because I has the switch version and I tried everything to trigger it and to my surprise the seizure glitch dose not happen)
If they where going to change the engine they should have just used unreal for it i bet the game would have turned less buggy ... Well could be worse i guess.... I would like to ignore the facet that whoever is playing this clipped throu the ground at some point by going too fast
The engine has nothing to do, you could use the most advanced engine in the world and still end up with a buggy mess of a game. The game was clearly rushed to get it out of the door; it needed more time in the oven, and rushing games is very typical from SEGA to do, now I hope they take their time with Sonic 2022
Super Sonic has always shown off the worst of Sonic Colors and nothing has changed in ultimate. The stages are so unnecessarily segmented and short when they could be combined for a better experience, of course that presents the bigger problem of all the stages being too similar. It was just too mediocre of a game to begin with, quite frankly without all that glitch stuff this game would've been forgotten about by now (something that's already starting to happen despite the glitches).
