A Topic that involves Tekken 8, Sonic Fox has recently just been in a situation where he was called on his comments about joining Tekken 8 as far as being competitive. Although the Tekken player that called him out was not intending on Money matching him Sonic Fox takes it upon himself to Money match the Tekken player only to back out of the money match and makes the excuse that the Tekken player lives in the UK even though Sonic Fox has played and beaten numerous UK players. The Tekken player that goes by the name of Martian didn't back down as he accepted the challenge to fight Sonic Fox for 500$ in Tekken 7 just as Sonic Fox wanted. But Sonic besides that he wants to manipulate the situation and twist the words of Martian to make him look like the bad guy to the public, by saying that Martian tried to change to Tekken 8 which was actually Sonic Fox's own which totally made me very upset and angry at Sonic Fox for being manipulative! Here I'm going to be talking about why Sonic Fox takes "L" in this situation and really exposed himself as a MONEY HUNGRY USER!

I watched the beginning of this beef go down and I was originally on Sonic’s side. After seeing Sonic back down just because it’s “day 1” on T8, he’s lame lol. He was calling Martian out for being “scared” yet uses the regions as an excuse when he finally agreed. Bro thought he could bully him out of money and flex $500 on twitter, what a joke.

A lot of these "pros" act like high school cliques that went on decades after they been out out high school and don't know how to handle the attention and the public eye and acts out as a result. This is why if I ever made a name for myself in a scene, I'd adamantly stay off of social media other than RU-vid for streaming matches. Twitter and FB really just made a lot of these guys get a swole head with a bad personality following it. It's just a lot of these hierarchy high level guys in a peeing contest and whenever they get cooked, they try to money match(cancel) them to save face. Egos man...

Sonicfox is nothing more than a jock. His achievements are impressive but that doesn't give him the right to act like a jerk-off and act like he's god's gift to this earth and genre of game. It's sad that gaming used to be a safehaven from jerk-off jocks that think they're special because they can throw a ball really far or something. Sonicfox and Punk are friends it makes so much sense since they so much a like lol. I've been calling out Sonicfox for years with his behavior, also that he isnt really as good at multiple games as people make him out to be. Oh wow he won mostly games barely anyone plays, hes continued to be exposed in that regard with the competitive scene in NRS games growing his placings continue to go down. Every time hes tried to go into a game with a strong competitive scene he gets stomped by mid level players in those scenes and blames the game and drops it. We can also go on about the embarrassment of his behavior in the DBFZ grands at evo 2018 as well. The fact that whenever anyone calls him out on his behavior you just get called racist or a homophobe is fuckin annoying.

Dude Maximilian Dood invited sonic fox to a sf6 twitch rivals tournament and he told him to make a team with players that play different games. So sonic fox picked a team that their main game is Street fighter and they also played other games like guilty gear on the side. He slick chose pro players that their main game is sf like menaRD and nuckeldu. They ended up winning cause he picked pros in sf, and they took 10k to split. He should've been banned disqualified for not following the rules.

@@TrixTrix228 it happened like 7 months ago, during the release of sf6. Brian f and nuckeldu have videos just type "twitch rivals sf6" Sonicfox was supposed to pick a team who's main game isn't sf. Each team had to make a team with a catch like a team with only players that play sf4, another team that plays sf5, justin wong had a team. So sonic made a team with players who's main game is sf but play guilty gear on the side like menaRd, du, shine.

The thing is as NRS community has grown with more people taking it competitive, the worse sonicfox has actually done in those games. Its the same thing with Guilty Gear, with Strive a lot more people picked it up and he did shit in it then hid behind the "I dont like the game". He's been exposed in other games that he thought he would just instantly be a top player in SFV and Tekken then got smoked by mid level players and quit those games too.

Super awesome video, Demetrius. This is what I don't like about the FGC and its pro players. However, not all pro players are bad. Players such as MenaRD, AngryBird, Big Bird and Street Fighter players for Japan like Daigo, Bonchan, Gachikun, Fuudo and Kakeru are humble and respectful. On the other hand, players from the FGC such as SonicFox, not only they are hungry for money, but they also have ego problems. Players like SonicFox are ruining fighting games and ruining the FGC. There is nothing wrong with money matches and I got no issue with Sonicfox doing this actually. What I do have a problem is, "Let's play I'll beat you." turns into "Let's play but we'll do for 500 bucks!" I have had someone pull that shit with me with MK1. That's peak user behavior.

I been playing Tekken since I was a teenager..I am 43 years old now soon to be 44..I used to fist fight for pride..I fought in sf for respect..Never ask for money when challenged..I just put the quarter in..Tekken is my favorite franchise played and owned them all..And I can say with the utmost confidence..Sonic is not good in Tekken..I watched him play several times..He has improved but he is just at decent level..And that's the real reason he is ducking because he is not confident in fighting someone in Tekken..He duck and only said 500 because the guy said for 100..He knew he wasn't going to have the 500..But he didn't know they guy was going to be able to get it..But he put the option select of time zone in place..He is a excuse maker and ducker

Money Matches have been used too casually, in my opinion. When I hear someone asking for a money match, I expect it's to settle some beef -- a personal conflict between two opponents of similar skill and/or notoriety. Sonicfox isn't established enough in Tekken to be requesting money matches, period. Can you imagine Sanford Kelly money matching people in Melty Blood because he had a disagreement with them on Twitter? Not someone talking reckless at a tournament, but some random guy on social media? I get being a fan of someone, but too many people are "yes men" and allow these dudes to operate outside of protocol. It's embarrassing.

Sonicfox has been manipulating the FGC for years and received the benefit of the doubt from fans or act like Sonic never does anything wrong. I never vibed with Sonic or his community at all especially when I saw at Evo 2019, Sonic was very dismissive and treated fans like a bother when they asked for pics/autographs, but was acting like his happy-go-lucky self when a media camera was present. Evo 2018 Sonic played a ton of sets vs GO1, the biggest threat for DBFZ. Apparently got smoked in the sets and claimed he always dropped combos in practice. Then comes Evo finals, he sents GO1 to losers, the bracket gets reset, then Sonic asks to switch sides like its Tekken when iced Goichi, Sonic proceeds to win. Mind you Sonic wasnt "dropping combos" in top 8. People claimed he was sandbagging. Fast forward to MK World Tour, I think it was 2019, maybe 2020 did the same thing to Ninjakilla (they talked about it in Ninjakilla's documentary). Money matched him, lost a ton, conveniently beat Ninjakilla when it mattered most. Sonic has always controlled the narrative and manipulated things while the FGC pretends Sonic cant do wrong.
