I'm already about to cry with Joy I didn't like Sonic forces theme songs but Sonic Frontiers Sega and Sonic Team are finally going all out with Sonic games just this music alone gets me really hype for the story I want to play the game already I can hardly wait.

It’s so sonic. Cool, edgey, serious, confidant, and still different. I didn’t think you could get another sonic song that wasn’t crush 40 music or endless possibilities, and yet they perfectly captured the essence of sonic in a completely different way. Bravo
I was in tears, of happiness. This is hapiness. Sonic getting some "shonen anime" vibes here in this game. And i wonder who's gonna be main. Hope it's an EPIC BANGER composed by these guys too. Grrrrr, cant wait to get this game in my hands
Well, the Sonic Frontiers (censored) version of Vandalized seems shonen-esque. The international (full English) and Japanese (half English half Japanese) versions don't though. It's amazing how changing only 2 words can change the message of an entire song. *"Fight* the pain away, my *head* is in ruins" Fighting opposition amidst mental/philosophical turmoil is very shonen-esque. The lyrics are vague enough for it to apply to many different things. *"Fuck* the pain away, my *bed* is in ruins" This makes it clear that the source of the turmoil is something akin to an ex-partner or a drug, which includes alcohol. Drugs and sex are often paired together in these kinds of tales, be it how the couple spends their time or how one of them copes after the break-up via hiring hookers or whatever. It'd also tie in the other lines about shattered glass. "Are you *freaking* crazy!?" "Are you *fucking* crazy!?" Not much difference here. He could be referring to the villain, his ex, to himself when he's high/drunk, or some combination of them.
As a huge fan of One Ok Rock, it makes me so happy to see them get this sort of recognition! This song is outstanding and might already be one of my favourite songs in general. Great reaction btw :)
It was a surprise for sure, and I loved it. Was definitely expecting like maybe a stage theme or boss theme to be released first, but I’m not complaining
I don't get why so many people want the same band in every sonic game like...they were only in 3 of the dreamcast games and like 4 modern games. Clearly sonic still does good with other bands, crush 40 isn't the only sonic band

One Ok Rock is a truly epic band and are big in Asia. But still most people here in America don’t know about them… yet. It’s a shame. Those that do know, they become their favorite. Check out some of their music.. We Are (ambitions live), Renegades (mv), Wherever You Are (ambitions live). 🎶

Just having One OK Rock in a Sonic game made me fanboy like crazy. They're an amazing band and the lead singer Taka has a great voice, I'm going to their concert tour in NY the end of this month too. If you want to hear the Japanese version it's up on their YT channel too. Their new album with this song is coming very soon too Just take my money now SEGA
Interesting. Not only was that a censor but it makes perfect sense for the story of sonic frontiers. "My head is in ruins" and that's why the cyberspace levels are in the game story wise according to the leaks
In the context of the story, it makes a lot more sense. I don't think this is Sonic's perspective. This is Eggman's inner turmoil and grief after the final boss. "Said you'd keep me safe. Now you're tearing me down" We know there is a character who promised to keep someone safe.
So let's see, One ok rock has done the opening theme for RGG Ishin and now they've done the ending theme for Sonic Frontiers. Atlus, you know who to call for the persona 6 opening or ending so that the One ok rock x Sega trinity is complete. 😉
Not only RGG they also did for several games like : - Black Rock Shooter PSP (NO SCARED) - DmC : Devil may Cry (Nothing Helps) It's kinda rare for them to do a video game soundtrack. But when they did, the songs are such bangers.
One Ok Rock actually has this song on an album that's dropping Friday. As someone who's listened to the band for a long while, it's shaping up to be one of their best albums in years, definitely give it a listen. So cool to see my favorite band promoting itself like this, almost like a dream come true.
This seriously reminds me of the vocal songs we got back in the early 2000’s and it’s making me feel super nostalgic! I’m even more excited for this game!

Bro I'm so happy people like this song so much! One Ok Rock is my FAVORITE J-Rock band. Seeing them pop off brings joy to my heart cuz more people can experience them!!! Definitely recommend listening to more of their music!!!
One Ok Rock is absolutely amazing and I'm so glad people have learned of them through this. I actually only found them a few months before this was announced but I've already loved their music so much in that short time.
there's an uncensored version too where the singer says "fuck the pain away" instead of "fight the pain away" somehow I doubt thatll be played in game tho
God, this is such a good song. Sonic stays consistent with the amazing music. I'm cautiously optimistic for this game. Please PLEASE let this game be amazing.
Let me tell you. One Ok Rock is one of the badass band for making music. They've been making song for Rurouni Kenshin Live Action movie series, Renegades,the song that written alongside Ed Sheeran for the third Rurouni Kenshin movie are badass.
I'm going to bet that other vocal theme we heard from the Japanese commercial that people speculated was NateWantsToBattle or Pierce the Veil is also a One Ok Rock song. Didn't make the connection before they dropped this but the voice sounds like it could be Taka.

One OK Rock sure has moved up in the world. Going from indie band to making music for the Rurouni Kenshin movies to making albums overseas. And now this? Much hype. So happy to have followed them for this long.
Listening to this song on its own was a 9/10 for me. Listening to it with Fadel’s reaction makes it a 11/10. I’m so hyped to hear the main theme for the game now.
