pretty sure it is because there's a lot of irregular terrain to get the right angle to do crazy jumps, plus in frontiers you don't loose that much air momentum now, unlike sonic adventure where sonic lost almost all of his air speed almost instantly, but honestly this spindash is clearly an homenage to the SA1 one, and being even more broken than the sa1 spindash is just pure fanservice, not that i'm complaining tho, i like it that way since it's an unlockable
@@xxseyroxx3970 Man, I was annoyed over how you had to unlock the dash. It was a total chore imo, BUT then you find out just how OP it is! It’s superior to the boost in acceleration, auto-jumps terrain faster than you manually doing so. Surrounded by enemies? Spin dash in a figure & and they’re kaput. Add the cyloop, then you’re controlling the whole battle field. Spindash is insane.
How’d they drop on the ball on this? Ruined forever!! Seriously tho, I’m surprised that got left out.. otherwise, it’s pretty well tuned. Probably the tightest control scheme in the series..?
@@ViltrumiteIsRite99 yeah, its really great! And I hope that in the next game, with the momentum based movement and level design receiving an even bigger focus (with this update receiving a lot of level design that encourages the use of momentum, and the movement having a bigger enphasis on momentum too), it can be more polished and improved to make sonic's movement even better
I hope they’ll add Shadow and new outfits/skins(Sonic Prime, Sonic Boom, Sonic Riders, Sonic Knight, The Werehog, Dark SuperSonic, Lego Sonic, Minecraft Sonic, Movie Sonic, Sonic Exe, Ashura and Classic Sonic)❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Some of these new Koco platforming puzzles are more complex than the ones from the main game. They also seen to be made with the new physics in mind. I'm still getting used to the new physics, turning the sliders all the way down makes it harderto control Sonic for me, and this is coming from an avid SA1 player.
So is it possibly to get through the new Koco courses as a lower lever Sonic cuz i did all max stats, which makes me think its required for some courses.
Yo if they let you view the Kokos you collected 3D models and had a backstory for each one that’d be dope mines well do the other characters while they’re at it
there's 4 ramps in each direction (east, west, north and south) if you manage to activate all the trigger buttons, I found myself launching towards the top with the ramp that is the highest of them all, there's enough momentum and boost to reach it (you have to launch from one ramp to the other one) and barely grab the magnetic field that lets you climb the wal up to the top, it requires a little bit of precision, but that's how I made it, it takes a lot of time.
There's a portal near the tower, and a loop directly southeast of it. Boost on the ramp using power boost, and you'll see a set of springs. That's your ticket. Everytime you use a set of ramps, you'll be flung to the top of the tower, but you'll always have to climb back down to activate a switch.
okay without doing any mental gymnastics can someone tell me why would one want to bother collecting these kocos to upgrade the boost length if infinite boost is always available right from the beginning of the game that can be quickly and effortlessly activated at any time with cyloop?
Honestly, no reason other than the challenges to collect these Kocos can actually be kinda fun. I kinda just see the extra boost as a small, albeit useless bonus for 100% the islands.
It could help with the new characters, maybe they don't have a cyloop to make an infinite simbol to activate it, idk, could be too that infinite boost is something that would be removed or reserved to easy difficulty too.
I wouldn’t really have to worry about this upgrade, but since this new update came out, it deleted a glitch that I had and because of it I no longer have the infinity boost. I can still get it, but now it has a time limit, then being forever.😕
This is cool. But how do you get new game plus? Do the spin dash, and the stamina upgrades carry over when you do? I'm asking because I beat the game before the update, so do I have to beat the game again?
Just defeat surpreme again (defeating the end is optional). It’ll ask you to save game clear data, click yes. Then choose the save file you want new game plus to carry over to. I’m pretty sure your spin dash and stamina upgrades carry depending on the save file you choose.
@@thatitalianlameguy2235 Everything carries over to Extreme. but FYI, stat upgrades don't do anything on Extreme. (It will be as if you only had lvl. 1 stats)
Ngl, i hate the birthday overlay for the screen, it covers too much of the screen and i cant focus on gameplay when there is a border covering 10% of my screen.
