Sounds like those rumors/leaks about Sonic having amnesia would've been true if some of those voice lines were actually used.

The lines of Sonic slowly falling to the corruption and him promising the Koco to keep them save…they are so well done, peak voice acting and atmosphere setting. I would have loved to actually hear them while playing.

A lot of people hate the constant references in this game, but for me personally I welcome them. Mostly because so many previous games, even ones that are supposed to be continuations of previous games, seemed to be severely lacking in references.

at 4:42 Sonic says Eggman's A rank line from 'Adventure 2! I guess they are really alike... In some ways at least.

I would love for someone to animate some of these lines. I don’t know why, but it feels like he’s having his own little journey and story within the story we already have. They’re just delivered so well imo. Especially the emotional parts. Reminds me of the memos that Eggman has. It’s like this game wants to show us both perspectives of these two. It shows how differently they think and view the world. I love this game so much.😄💙

I kinda wish some of these voice lines made it into the game, they sound more like how Sonic used to sound like in the Sonic Boom TV show and past Sonic games like Generations. Although the ones that did make it sound great too, it might just take a little getting used to lol.

Honestly if all this dialogue was in the game I feel like the game would feel pretty different. Something about exploring the open zone with sonic being so silent is somewhat weird.

I think after you beat Rhea Island, Sonic has more serious voice lines, and Sonic almost *completely* drops his cocky and arrogant attitude. Then again, Sonic nearly *died* by being trapped in cyberspace forever. It would be more emotional because here’s how I think this would go: Sonic travels to Rhea Island along with Tails, whom Sonic is nearly infected with the cyber corruption. Five huge towers are present and it’s up to Sonic to deactivate them, breaking the barrier between dimensions. More and more though, The corruption spreads more and more into him the more towers he interacts with, leaving Sonic to become weaker and slowly forget about his memories and even about himself, musing how cold his body feels due to him slowly not being himself, acting kind of like a robot of sorts. Sage starts to become concerned about our blue hero, asking why does he keep going knowing he might die to the corruption. Sonic ignores her and pushes onwards, commenting that he is literally pushing himself to save his friends, but is slowly being consumed. After he reaches the final tower, he breaks the barrier between dimensions, but Sonic writhes in agony and pain. He completed his mission and his friends are freed from cyberspace, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy are all rescued and converse with one another, but when Amy turns to see Sonic, she finds that Sonic was already fully corrupted, his eyes open as he stared lifelessly at the ground. He just stood there……motionless as well as Amy gasped in horror at the sight of Sonic. Knuckles and Tails look over in worry as well as Eggman and Sage arrive as well, Eggman cackling in victory as he sees that his longtime arch-nemesis has finally been defeated. No longer messing up with his plans.

4:42 WELL NOW~! I didn't expect them to use Eggman's A Rank dialogue from SA2 in this one. The inflection on it made it obvious to a T.

Why does the dialogue with no specific trigger have to be THIS rare? I know a lot of these lines are in the game, but I've completed the game twice and have only heard the Shadow line.

It’s strange seeing (well, hearing) just how much more life and character they put into Sonic in this game… when it’s limited to a crap ton of lines that most players would certainly miss, which sucks cuz I really love these, especially the ones where he’s being the goofball he always tended to be, the one where he tells the spirits to rest in peace (awww) and the tearjerkers that are the Rhea Island ones. Also, it’s kinda adorable that the very last line is him wishing for a chili dog and a nap. On one hand it could be jokingly interpreted as him being exhausted after reciting all those lines, but on the other… poor guy went through a lot in that game

i have a feeling these are ordered island by island like 0:27 to 2:25 is kronos, 2:25 to 5:10 is ares, 5:10 to 7:20 is chaos, 7:20 to 7:58 is rhea, 7:58 to 8:45 is ouranos (hence sage talking) the rest are like miscellaneous koco-related lines or ones for sonic being near characters while it's raining? (9:32 to 9:44) 9:53 to 10:11 seems like more ouranos edit: 10:11 to the end (excluding the very last line) seems like lines for sonic near a trapped character (maybe sage was gonna be trapped too?) 10:41 to 10:50 could PERHAPS be trapped eggman???? there also seems to be after-battle dialogue (0:00 to 0:27), and maybe even cyber space dialogue? (0:27 to 0:34) edit 2 electric boogaloo (after like 3 months lol): 0:46 to 0:52 is DEFINITELY for chaos island, cause of the bridge 9:05 to 9:11 could possibly be upgrading your stats while in rhea? (ik you cant do that, but maybe?) I've heard the mystic ruins and house lines in my playtrough, I think they were both on Kronos, while the one about the geothermical power, the other about the death egg robot and the other one about how it's hot, but it feels cold were on Chaos. I don't remember where, but I've heard the lighthouse one and the one about the coolest temple too. I've also heard the ones about the important looking temple and the one about the Tarot cards on Ouranos.

I’ve always enjoyed Roger Craig Smith as Sonic the Hedgehog since I first heard Sonic speak. Long story short, I got into Sonic the Hedgehog in 2010 and the first time I heard Sonic speak, he was voiced by Roger.

I love all this. I wish these voice lines were more frequent, they give Sonic so much character, Roger has really come into this role, too. He’s sneaking his way to being my favorite Sonic VA.

So we don't know which lines are used and not used right? I hope someone finds an easier method than triggering dialogue manually in game one day so a proper list of what dialogue is and isn't heard in the game becomes possible to make.
