Classic Sonic has the homing attack because he learned from modern Sonic (actual reason for this as explained by scaled down cutscene because of the 3DS Hardware)
In my opinion, this and Water palace are the stages with better level design for both classic and modern sonic. I mean the 3DS version levels have cool level design (except radical highway) but the level design of the DS era it's just epic.
And you all gotta remember that Dimps didn't have much time to even make this game. They had a pretty tight deadline and were pretty much rushed to produce this title, you know. We should be thankful that we even have this game to begin with. Well, the humble fans should be thankful, like me :)
Because the stage we got in the PS3/360 version was from a stage late into Colors. This is the first level of Colors. Later stages are a lot harder and less forgiving, and as a result require you to be a lot more on your toes and don't give you that same sense of straight up fun that the earlier stages will give you.
I admit, Sonic 06 isn't my favorite Sonic game, but I did really like the mach speed segments and its music; Silver's theme is way too awesome! As for Shadow the Hedgehog? I actually like that game, too. It's underrated, just like SatBK and SatSR. Shadow's game has some pretty awesome things going on for it. It's more about missions and exploring the level, not just speeding until you finish the level, not that there's anything wrong with that ^_^.
I understand you and all, but even those things you just mentioned didn't stop me from enjoying the game and having an all-around fun experience, as always. Video games aren't supposed to be perfect and fit your every need, they're supposed to be fun. And to me, Sonic ALWAYS pulls that off ^_^.
Well of course it can. Back in the days of the Genesis, the music and sound effects shared the same channel. Since many elements in the levels emitted sounds, clustering together items and obstacles which combined to make too many distinct sounds would cause the music to get all fuzzy and... ah, forget it.
yeah thats probably true but then again. it wouldn't kill for at least one or two dlc levels. just to make the levels a little more diverse. considering 4 of the 9 levels were city levels
Some quite well designed platforming? Well, wasn't expecting that. After seeing all these level playthroughs, I have to say the most well constructed (and possibly fun?) levels look like Classic "Ocean Palace", and these two.
Holy crap, it took THE WHOLE GAME, but this actually isn't a bad level. It's varied, visually interesting, doesn't have any glaring issues with how it plays, and is more than holding right until you reach the goal. The Burst wisp seems well-implemented, too. Could've used a bigger screen, but overall, A Good Level.
your right, but still technically cities. They are are great levels but i wouldn't mind something like sweet mountain in colors or sky fleet from heroes. Just something a lot different from the rest.
I think the reason they kept the 3DS short and simple is because they couldn't put more on it because it's a handheld console and making a dlc for the HD version would kill the 3DS version.
Your opinion, dude, not mine. Heck, I'm probably one of the only Sonic fans that enjoyed Sonic Labyrinth and beat it. My brother and I were both trying to beat it; I beat it first, lol. I think playing that game on a rainy day in your room while it's dark is the best way to play it. The glow of the TV, the sound of the rain, all while playing that bright colored, unique, classic Sonic Game Gear game just all falls into place... to ME, that is :3
Nope! I liked this game too, I don't know why people complain so much about this game, maybe because it was very short, but anyways, I still find it fun, specially in most of classic sates level design. :3 People really need to bitching this version.
It would be cool dlc for the hd version of generations if they made all these levels for it. And if 3ds is capable of dlc, them do the same with the hd versions levels
Daaang! So many people complain about this game! Would you all calm the heck down, just once? I swear, when it comes to video games in general, especially the Sonic and Zelda series, everybody has something to complain about. Am I the only one who likes this game? Because that's usually how it goes :3
I expect it to still be a quality experience. This game is still selling for 39.99$. Why should I not only WANT TO, but be THANKFUL for the fact that I have to pay that much money for an incredibly rushed and uncomplete game, when I could use that same money to buy a multitude of GOOD games? I'm not expecting a console experience, all I'm asking for is my value's worth. If this was a 15$ DLC I wouldn't complain at all.
I can't control Shadow (PS2 version) at all, and the mach speed sections are even less controllable, the music of 06 rocks though, especially the final boss theme
Dude, my basic point is that they are NEVER pleased with what they get. Example? Okay, here's one. I'm sure you've heard about the new Wind Waker HD remake coming out, right? Well, the creator changed the way it looks now because fans wouldn't stop complaining about it, and NOW a lot of "fans" are saying that they liked the way it looked before... I can't stand Zelda fans sometimes, and the same goes for Sonic, Pokémon and Final Fantasy fans, as well.
Thank you :). But seriously, some people need to stop bitching this game so much. SomeCallMeJohnny did a critique of this version, and I felt he overbitched this version, like he said more negative things that positive things, but that's just what I feel.
Hey, i like this game... as modern sonic. The classic stages in this version just weren't as fun as they were in the console version's. But that still doesn't say much modern sonic isn't that special in this version, either.
I never played the Ds version of Sonic colors and i never seen some exclusive Ds wisps. Now i know and knowledge is power. Kkk,just kidding, but i played the wii version only
That's a BS excuse. No one gives a crap about 3D Blast. In the HD version of Generations, Classic Sonic gains it as one of his unlockable moves you can use optionally. The reason it's in the 3DS version and is mandatory is because DIMPS was lazy and couldn't come up with better level design then what was in Sonic 4 ep1. Don't try to defend this crap as it just makes you look clueless.
