Please note, due to this being a live recording I don't cover all the details but the topic about the game itself does. Feel free to download it yourself since there is some challenge to it. info.sonicretro...

There is actually a full playthrough of this game that exists. It is a perfect playthrough with all Chaos Emeralds. (Omochao is disabled in Special Stages so you can get all the rings you want there) Also, In the act 3 areas, If you go the entire act with no rings, you get a shield. The shield disables Omochao Messages. It is your salvation in this game.
"You jumped!" "You landed onto the ground!" "You ducked!" "You rolled!" "You pushed a block!" "You paused!" "You unpaused!" "You made a monitor fall from a tree!" "You pressed a button!" "You let go of a button!"
Life, Omochao Edition: you opened the door! You closed the door! You got on the school bus! You sat down! 5... Hours... Later... You got the: Mechanical Pencil! Press the B button to dispense some lead, which is used in the pencil as the writing material! You killed your best friend in pure rage because of my endless chatter! You ran from the popo! Your mother got severely pissed! You killed yourself all because of me! ... You were reborn as a new person! >:D
...After having watched this, I am ready to confess to having done every crime there ever was. I can't imagine what actually playing this hack is like. Kudos to the one who made this hack, for if his aim was to inspire broken sobs and fits of rage, he's done it admirably. On the bright side, at least Omochao isn't going "Hey! Listen!" every three seconds (yet?).
This game is probably as much of a pain as the "no pearls" stages in Secret Rings because of how much stuff you have to avoid in order to clear a stage.
- " You Got Another Ring " - " You Got Speed Shoes " - " You Got A Emerald " - " You Got A Shield " - " You Got A Ring Monitor " - " You Got Another Ring Monitor " - " You Used Up The Invincibility! " - " You Reached A Lamp Post! " - " You Got Your First Hit " - " You Got A Girlfriend " - " You Got A Baby " - " You Walked " - " You Stayed Idle " - " You Got A Time Over " - " You Got A Game Over "
You got a ring! You got another ring! You slammed your head on the ground! You slammed your head on the ground again! You got a sniper rifle! You aimed it at Omochao! You sho- BANG
After you get 100 messages, omochao turns red and says "In his house at R'lyeh, dead Cthulhu waits dreaming" except it's distorted, and the music freaks out.
youtube OmoChao Edition: You opened youtube! you clicked a video! you're watching The Video! you Paused the video! you scrolled down! you scrolled down some more! you read a comment! you scrolled down some more! you left you're computer! you got a ...gun.....and I'm ded
piece of info the music that plays when omochao states the obvious gets higher and lower with each action that omochao sees fit to point out the obvious
There's actually a different version where the music goes higher and higher and higher. It's a good thing you're playing this version or your ears would probably hurt
There's worse a wore thing about it: Under the download link is an alternate version where that music doesn't go back down. It keeps going up forever and ever and ever.(And ever... and ever... and ever...)
From what i found out about this rom hack, if you get a lot of rings in the stage (like around 30 or so), and then jump into the spikes in Green Hill Zone, or get hit by the saws in Scrap Brain Zone, the game will crash.
I wonder if there's a jingle for dying, and then having the life counter go down, and doing a loop-do-loop , and for each time hitting a boss, and for killing the boss, and getting hit, and losing rings, and falling in a pit, and clearing the stage, and does the jingle count carry over between stages?
If the video hadn't cut it off the last fanfare would've gone on for a full minute. The fact that it pauses every time you do something makes it irritating but kind of funny. The true evil brilliance of this hack is the increasing fanfare. If the length of it carries over to the next level then the first ring you get on Act 3 would pretty much cause an instant time out.
