Sonic Movie 3 Might REPLACE Biolizard?! SEGA Unable To Reuse OG Physics (Sonic X Shadow Generations) 

Im glad you brought up the Havok engine point, as I've pointed this out in comments on a few videos before. Basically to add to what you said, SEGA can no longer use the Havok engine for future titles, due to Microsoft acquiring the engine for an undisclosed amount way back. If any developer wants to use Havok, they'd have to pay Microsoft for a license, and SEGA aren't gonna wanna do that. As for the physics of Frontiers, allegedly Bullet Physics are used, which is another type of popular physics engine. (CriWare deals with game auido and video. Quixel Megascans deals with the photorealistic 3D assets used in game environments) If anything, there's a good chance they'll use the Bullet engine for SxSG, so if it feels similar to Frontiers (possibly unfortunately the Cyberspace levels), then that's why. Also keep this in mind IF we ever get an Unleashed remaster as the physics for that are 100 percent gonna be made from scratch, possibly using this tweaked Frontiers/SxSG physics preset.

Biolizard only makes sense if chaos exists in the movies

the biolizard was based on the chaos murals in angel island, while shadow was likely based on the super sonic murals on hidden palace, probably why shadow and the biolizard are so different

I'm honestly fine with the replacement of Biolizard, but my issue with Metal Sonic being there is that it feels a bit out of place. They can make it work, but I think it might feel slightly rushed. I just don't want Metal Sonic to take away from the focus on Shadow and the SA2 inspired plo

If they are going to use “live and learn” like they are teasing, it won’t hit the same if it’s not biolizard/final hazard as the final big bad. I honestly wanted them to introduce metal sonic and Amy way before they started throwing modern sonic stuff into the movies (people forget that metal sonic was at one point Sonic’s most deadliest/evenly matched villians) so I’d love to see metal but scraping biolizard and using metal sonic would leave a bad taste in my mouth at this point considering how they’ve built things up.

The havoc engine is for physics objects like breakable boxes, the movement code is part of hedgehog engine. People often confuse physics for movement code because sonic is known as a physics based platformer, but basically here’s the run down. The havoc engine calculates realistic gravity and physics for stuff like boxes and jars, sonic frontiers uses bullet engine for this instead but, Sonic frontiers movement code was based of sonic forces as seen with the many similarities with oddities in the 2 games but it feels very different because they were working on sonic frontiers for 5 years. Havoc engine is not for the player controller that’s what hedgehog engine is and anyway, if they didn’t have access to sonics controls how would that stop them adding extra levels?

For me the Biolizard is a really grotesque and shocking concept, showing how much Gerald was pushing the boundaries of creation and science. It also creates a moral/ethic conflict as in Robotnik's grandafther keeping it alive in constant pain to avenge Maria's death. Meshing these two creates lotsa conflicts. You see, Maria's death provoked both Shadow's and Gerald's suffering. Gerald, as a man who had nothing to lose, kept the Biolizard alive as time needed, making it suffer coz Im pretty sure that after 50 years the tech keeping it alive is failing. It's and Shadow's suffering the would lead to everyone's doom, as everyone was paying suffering with suffering and not forgiveness, creating a cicle of pain. Also from some math I did Project Shadow took place in 1972, during the Cold War, and biological weapons were a thing. There were also floppy discs back then and Gerald'd diary was in one of them, or at least stored. The tech in Shadow's stasis room seems identical to the ones in the 70's as well. As for Amy, I see her just being "Wow this planet is so beautiful!!". And her seeing how much ppl stuggle everyday along with her natural empathy could lead to her convincing Shadow to change sides and help Sonic and friends at the climax of the movie

I feel like biolizard can be replaced but not by metal sonic

From a SA2 story perspective Rouge is way more important than Amy, even if Amy is a more important character in the overall franchise. Also the fan theory is Biolizard was based on Chaos while Shadow was based on the Angel Island mural. Since they seemingly are skipping the original SA storyline I would be okay with Biolizard being replaced with Metal Sonic. Can’t base Biolizard off Chaos if he doesn’t exist in the movie universe yet after all.

They also need to make sure the game can handle the enhancements because if you played kingdom hearts 1.5 +2.5 HD remix back when it first released there were alot of bugs because of the 60fps so they gotta playtest sonic generations before they release

The bio lizard makes sense because Gerald based the lizard off of perfect CHAOS because he studied echidna lore and he went to a hedgehog because if you remember playing sonic 3 during the knuckles boss fight there is a picture in the background where a hedgehog powered by CHAOS energy is fighting an evil force which is the events of the third game prophecisised so sonic being a hedgehog is why shadow is a hedgehog and sonic was not even born yet

I want to see Shadow interact with Rouge in Shadow Generations (or at the very least to see Gerald and Maria) as they have NOT been seen together in recent games.

Glad to see someone else was considering the idea that Metal Sonic would replace Biolizard, and Metal Overlord would replace Finalhazard. It's an out-there speculation, but if the plot is already going to be about a Sonic doppelganger, why not just have *3 Sonics* for the third Sonic movie? It feels more thematically appropriate even if it would be a controversial change.

I'm all for having more video game representation in Sonic movie 3 so in a way, I'm hoping Metal Sonic is the monster of the week Sonic and Shadow have to face at the end. Having the biolizard would be neat representation from SA2, but I think we need Metal Sonic in movie 3 just as much as we need Amy Rose. Plus, it'll be sick to not only see a cinematic version of Metal Overlord, but one that's merged with the Ark. Of course, there would be some questions to ask such as, "How did Gerald Robotnik create a robotic version of Sonic if he came to Earth 40-50 years later?" Also, Sonic Frontiers is mid?! I understand that game has a lot of flaws, but the passion still shines through.

I wouldn’t be shocked if we got something like the drop dash in SxSG, but I doubt that they’ll touch classics physics (which is a shame, considering that we’ve seen that Generations can handle momentum-based physics via the Classic Sonic Improvement Mod).

Eggman would make Metal Sonic after his defeat While agent Stone wanted to avenge the doctor...by finding Shadow and wanting him to get rid of Sonic...the one blocking him from avenging Maria... Later on they would meet and form a team Then at the end Eggman gives Metal the Master Emerald thinking he would be his greatest wepon against the world...but the Master Emerald made Metal break out of his programing and gain free will And after that HE would be the one who betrays ROBOTNIK (Like how Eggman betrayed Knuckles...but the other way around) Then everyone has to team up on Metal...but Shadow would not care...untill Amy reminds him of what Maria wanted Speaking of... Amy's backstory: she was a fan of Sonic ever since she was a little girl...back on South Island she watched Sonic running around...she always wanted to be (at least) friends with him...but Sonic ran so fast she never even heard his voice...and after Sonic left and Longclaw (and...i guess the Echidnas) died she never saw Sonic again... as she through... Then about 12 years later Sonic, Tails and Knuckles wanted to tske the Emerald to a new hiding spot...and Sonic wanted to hide it on his planet on South Island Amy and others on the island formed more villages and when Sonic and the others came...Sonic immidietly went running around for good times sake...then Sonic ended up at Longclaws house and saw a destroyed couple of houses...then Amy sees Sonic and suprised he is back...then they meet and the rest can be easy to predict

Replacing biolizard with metal sonic will probably ruin the dynamic between sonic and him.

The biolizard suffered a very violent gory death if that were in a real life movie it would have to have a pg thirteen rating or higher.

Just because they didn’t use Havok for Frontiers doesn’t mean that they don’t have access to it anymore. Plus it’d be pretty jarring if the Shadow portion used an entirely different physics engine. Also, I think I heard somewhere that they upgraded Generations to HE2, apparently you can tell looking at some of the objects in the gameplay. But I think you’re right about them not adding any new stuff to the base game.

I think it would be interesting if they do use Metal Sonic instead of biolizard. They could probably incorporate elements from Heroes like Neo Metal Sonic and do a bit of a Age of Ultron or Terminator Skynet scenario. Then in the finale, Metal fuses him self to the cannon of the Space Colony Ark in his Metal Overlord form. If they decide to do biolizard I think they could do a second trilogy that starts out being about Metal Sonic and the trilogy ends with the Black Arms.

I’m with u as a long time Sonic fan and no disrespect to the biolizard but I do truly think Metal Sonic can replace it as Shadow’s prototype in the 3rd movie and since Jim Carry is returning when Eggman finds Metal along with Shadow he can just upgrade him into the ultimate killing machine and power him with Sonic’s and Knuckles’ quills(Knuckles show trailer) and follow through Gerald’s genocidal plan in the end

Quixel Megascans is a graphics resource library. Things like rocks, trees, buildings, etc. It has nothing to do with physics.

Probably the movie would focus on Sonic looking for the choas emeralds while Eggman sends agent Stone to search for a island Shadow is unfrozen while at the same time a ring portal appears and Amy rose appears looking for her one true love thanks to her fortune teller cards she sees Shadow and mistakes him for Sonic while Knuckles and gun along with his cop friend looks for Eggman then big the cat appears alongside Amy rose and they look for Sonic while Tom and Maddie sets up a nursery while Tails builds his tornado 2 plane while Eggman uses Sonic quill and creats Metal Sonic with help from also using one of Shadows quills and a red chaos emerald

In terms of budget for Metal Sonic and Biolizard I understand what you’re coming from but it’s also the third movie in the trilogy why not go all out if you’re Paramount and make it the most epic ending ever and then if they like make another trilogy or build up going into the next major Climatic Sonic storyline in 06 or Unleashed.

I feel like they might replace Biolizard with Chaos, flat out. The logo looks a lot like Chaos's eye. Biolizard would still appear as a Shadow Prototype/Easter Egg somewhere, but the final boss would be Chaos. It'd also help the movie be more terrestrial.

You literally didnt explain why the remaster will be different from the others. It's like you formed your view on what the fan base thinks about it, which is that it (somehow) looks like they won't change much based off the single trailer. It's still too early to reasonably theorize that it won't receive considerable graphical enhancements. And in case you aren't referring just to LEVELS, Gens itself will come with brand new content here. It's not just a graphical update+Shadow's game.

While I'm happy that We're getting Sonic Generations on PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch as Sonic Generations was my most hyped game of 2011 (that and I could not wait to get out of High School as I was graduating that year, heck I still remember when Jazwares leaked out the levels on what was going to be in Sonic Generations with their 3.75 inch action figures with their Sonic though Time line) The Shadow part, IDK how to feel about it, yet, it looks good but I don't want to jump to conclusions, I think it's better than Sonic Colors Ultimate, Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis, Warcraft III: Refunded, Diablo II: Refunded and way better than GTA: Trilogy Definitive Edition, now I said that Sonic Superstars was going to be the last game I'm going to get on Nintendo Switch, I don't want to jump the gun and say Sonic X Shadow Generations is going to be the last Sonic game I'm going to get on Nintendo Switch (especially the fact that everyone are getting sick of "Nintendo Switch 2" rumors) all I can say is when Nintendo is ready to move on, I'll be waiting, but 99.9% Sega-Atlus is going to delist Sonic Generations OG off of Steam losing tons of mods (which would suck 100% but I won't be shocked as Game companies tend to do this BS) As for Sonic Movie 3, the reason why Sega-Atlus is going to market Shadow this year with Sonic X Shadow Generations, and the Shadow costume for Classic Sonic, I think We're going to see both Rouge (who might be played by a A-list) and Amy (whom Amy might be played by Cindy Robinson or Shannon Chan-Kant) and Metal Sonic makes 100% as Robotnik still has Sonic's quill and might use the quill to power Metal Sonic (Keep that in mind) and they Might use the Death Egg instead of the Space Colony Ark, They might save the Bio Lizard for the rumored Shadow series and have the Bio Lizard be Black Doom's weapon to wipe out humanity, mostly because the Sonic Movievers is going to be it's own thing where as Sonic Prime and the IDW Comics are part of the Sonic Gamevers now. All and all I can see 2024 be the Year of Shadow, if IDW makes a Team Dark mini series, tons of Shadow merch and Sega-Atlus puts out a Sonic animated short to promote Sonic X Shadow Generations I.E Sonic X Shadow Generations: Black Doom's Revenge as Shadow is a hyped character and the most second popular character still behind Sonic, maybe will find out on Sonic Central come June 2024 where We get more info, sorry for the essay my dude.

Fine by me. Space Colony Ark just does not work very well in the 2020s when private aerospace corporations do more work than NASA and over a 1000 satellites are launched per year. Makes more sense for the conflict to be terrestrial and the events concerning Shadow and Gerald related to the Cold War.

9:00 Quixel MegaScans is a massive library of real world objects rendered into 3D models via photogrammetry. Basically, stitching together a 3-D model from a bunch of pictures. I’d assume they use it for a lot of the rocks and other naturally occurring elements. it’s really technology!

What Sonic and Shadow might fight may be a creation that he made with GUN modifications and it goes berserk. GUN tries to take control and fails so it becomes up to those two.

I've been saying for the longest that they may make Metal Sonic the final threat in the movie, but regardless of what they do, I'm just super hyped for this film man.

Honestly, I hope bio-lizard isn't in Movie 3, because it would be so confusing to people that had only watched the movies to see how Gerald went from Big boy lizard to little squishy looking hedgehog, and having a Big Boy Metal like in Sonic Heroes would be awesome, but instead just to Sonic and Shadow against Metal
