Holy Crap, it's finally here and it went out with a BANG! It would be an understatement to say how much this game has changed my life, It boosted my channel into something bigger than I ever imagined, and I'm sure it'll be my leap into 100k subscribers! There is so much creative here, I LOVE so much of this. The levels feel much more fleshed out then past stages using all the characters abilities. Also having "someone" die was the perfect story beat I didn't know I need, the story picks up to like 1000% here and it's so fun to watch. The Super Sonic Boss Fight is like playing a Sonic X episode, it was hype! I will be posting the full playthrough once it finishes rendering. Once again thank you BOLT and Everyone else on the team. You made a legendary project and your fangame definitely made an impact in the community. I PULLED AN ALL NIGHTER TO GET THIS VIDEO OUT AND IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!! :)
just the feeling of the tought that this is the true LAST episodes of omens, and that it will probably end, makes me see truly how far this fangame has come, and the only thing i can do is wacth this entire video now
Here we come. The big finale of Sonic Omens. This fangame did a lot since the vehicle and I just can't believe it's available. Will have to check this out someday, so cool.
@@s-lye no for real. I really don’t like it when sonic fans will promote omens, as If it’s this groundbreaking game, but it’s no better than every other shoddy sonic fan game.
My god, to think that Sonic have to destroy Chip’s bracelet in order to save the world like that. This Story has been a ride to watch and it didn’t disappoint. What. A. Ride!
@@wellingtonafonsodecarvalho9842 Phew, who knows... Considering that the developers originally conceived the project as an explanation for "Why are there no Chaos Emeralds in the latest Sonic games?", It would be correct to assume that the Emeralds were destroyed and here comes the story of Sonic Colors... BUT!! Since the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald returned again in the Sonic IDW comics (and the plot of the IDW comics goes later than Sonic Forces), it can be imagined that when Chip's bracelet was destroyed, all the Chaos Emeralds were restored and scattered "I don’t understand where" (and now they were only collected to the events of the IDW comics), but the Master Emerald was simply split and Knuckle just went to collect it (again...). This option will not contradict the plot of both Sonic Omens and official games or comics! (let's say I took the second option for myself, because it's more pleasant, I love the Chaos Emeralds ^w^)
@@I-like-Hugs-and-Fluffy-boys Though it wouldn’t make sense for this to be the answer on why the emeralds hasn’t appeared in a major plot (until Frontiers) since this game is suppose to take place in the Sonic X timeline which is a whole separate continuity.
@@I-like-Hugs-and-Fluffy-boys yes not to mention thay will have a rule in Sonic Frontiers and I saw the Master Emerald in the teaser of the animation of the game

This ending had so many interesting twists that I was NOT expecting! So.. at some point after returning home, Chris found out that he only had 15 years left to live. But before he died, he wanted to "change the world" for the better. In order to meet this goal, he rose to the top ranks of G.U.N. and helped guide the organization away from it's war-torn ways. Once he accomplished this, the human world entered an era of peace. And during this period, Chris' ambition caused him to seek to rejoin his world with Sonic's, and use the infinite power of chaos as a clean energy source to power the world for everyone. After the worlds were merged, he reunited with Sonic (as seen by their picture togetherin episode 1), and Eggman later took advantage of this by going after the Gaia Temples. At some point after the merger, Chris came into contact with the Exiled, and the two sympathized with eachother. They worked together for the remaining time Chris had left, but the boy tragically died before he could fully achieve his dream. After this, the higher ups at G.U.N. went back to their old ways, and saw all of Chris' hard work destroyed. When the Exiled realized this, he wanted nothing to do with them anymore, and ultimately, turned his back on the world. Desperate to see his people one last time, he discovered that by destroying the Chaos Emeralds, he could gain the energy needed to travel into the past (although this would this action would end the world in the process, the Exiled lost his faith in humanity after they G.U.N tried to undo Chris' legacy). Around this same time, he discovered the "Omens": guardians of the Chaos Emeralds that appear when they're in danger of being destroyed (the three monsters we see in the story). So to complete his mission, he manipulated both Shadow and G.U.N. into gathering the Chaos Emeralds, and kept the truth about the Omens a secret. At some point, Eggman found out what was going on, and thus, leading to the events of the game.
There is a error in your understandings : Chris had already unify the Two Worlds not Eggman and the Exiled wouldn't return to the time when Oak was alive but only return to home and wouldn't destroy Chris dream this was a error during his plan and use again the portal without wait a amount of time has left to Chris to live for other 15 years meanwhile : has change the worlds bring peace, hangout with Sonic (you see the photo togheter with he in the first episodes let think that they hangout sometimes) , don't let the GUN make the same errors ecc...ecc..but we don't know when is die
@@sonicEchris88 Ah, I see... I think, lol. The story was a little hard to follow there in the middle, but thanks for the clarification 👍🏾 Went ahead and made some fixes to the original comment :)
@@DLxxx There was a error also in my explaination but now with the help of the Dev on Discord I've make more or less the whole point and here for you : -Chris become the "leader" of GUN before Unleashed and had decided to bring peace in the world begining from the GUN -Chris in the meantime (9-10 years , months for Sonic was passed )was trying to cross the two dimensions again but most likely it was still too early as the world was settling down maybe after some event that has caused the use of the Chaos Emeralds, he "emerged" in Sonic's world finally , did the calculations he understood what happened but there was a side effect much probably caused at cause of some miscalculations ( as Eggman say the process between this type of travel was still unstable time ago but Chris in someway fix it before to die and make the Portal but meanwhile he had take this side effect): he was aging so fast that he would only have 15 years left to live and much probably was been warning by Eggman after a while -Chris encounter The Exiled/Lotus in Sonic World and offer to he a possibility to live peacefully and create a World of peace -reunite with Sonic and the others -at the GUN place they make a contract with Sonic about the Emeralds , a portal for Unify the Worlds , and has the same design of Chris Portal but this time Chris had understand how unify the Worlds without make time freeze , with the photo where both are togheter (episode 1) -Sonic discovery what could happen to Chris (I don't know what Eggman could have told him but for sure Sonic does everything to avoid this fate) -Chris bring peace , hangout with Sonic and company and has do good stuff in Sonic World dodges also that the GUN goes to war for energetic materials as there is now a lot of energy for everyone -flashback/speech to Chris and Sonic -He dead just few years before Unleashed started. That why GUN do nothing in Unleashed, they lost their leader and can do nothing plus they become again a war faction -The Dark Gaia event does it all: "Hey you! Now our planets are closer than before!" - All the events of Unleashed have happened -Sonic restores everything with Chaos Emeralds and Chip -The Chaos Emeralds take "advantage" of this situation and reunite the worlds that become one again (Chris's speech says that thanks to them finally the worlds are one again and we during the Unleashed game discovery that Sonic World and Earth are the same and one thing then I've suppose that the Two world become one again is a event caused from Unleashed , Chaos Emeralds help and Chris help with his good actions ) literally the same Chaos Emeralds have will granted the wish of Chris unify the Two worlds again as one - the Exiled see how corrupt the World is and decide to destroy and return to the original plan -Omen begin - the GUN become again a war faction and decide to rip off the work of Chris - The Chaos Emeralds are disappeared - Shadow is been tricked by Exiled - Sonic lost the contract and is almost caught but at the end our " dear " Exiled save him almost kill him -Eggman explain the whole situation and what had done Chris ( obviously Chris don't know that Exiled at the end would destroy everything ) - Shadow discovery the truth - Sonic go to stop Exiled and the whole plan is reveal : he want use the Chaos Emeralds and Chris Portal for make a huge back in time for return to home but this has a cost...the life of all and the entire work of Chris be destroyed. Sonic don't acept that someone destroy the work that Chris had make also at cost of his life and defend he when Exiled scold Chris for having been a dreamer where saying that he didn't change anything and that his dreams died with him and Sonic retorts by saying that Chris always was a dreamer but he did change the world for the better and wouldn't allow someone like him to judge the world, which Chris he gave his life himself - Exiled is defeat -Sonic reluctant give and destroy the only thing that let comunicate him with the spirit of Chip understand that since Chip is the God of the Earth his power can restore what Exiled had destroyed - post credit scene - Sonic go to Chris grave for say (at least for me) : " don't worry my friend now the World that you've change for the better is safe and I will bring you , your dreams and ideals with me they'ren't die and I don't let this happened well...see you next time * cry * little brother - best friend " and Sonic Colours begin let understand to us that at the end finally Chris has fullfill his wish to stay forever with Sonic and the others in a world where both the race live togheter and also if is die physically his spirit , as Chip , will accompany always Sonic to his adventures also because his hard work now is restored again and this time his work has a guardian

I can’t believe nobody realises the references to the Sonic X jingle, it’s such a nice touch and makes sense because of the involvement of Chris in the lore
It's a miracle that we're keep getting Completed fan games over the years. Looking back we got a bunch of of good ones like Sonic VS Darkness but ended up not done for over 5 years or more now
I will give the story this, I like how we tried to explain the whole sonic two worlds thing. For those who don’t know it was a part of the sonic cannon for about 10 years that the world sonic was from in the world but the humans inhabited were two separate places (like in Sonic X.) The game ends implying that the events of sonic colors is about to unfold, which was the first game to have this as a part of its narrative. That part of the cannon has been retconned recently, but considering this game was developed while that was still part of the canon I think it was a neat attempt to tell a story with it.
Literally a mistranslation from an interview years ago that folks in the west took too far lol! (two different societies =/= two different planets/dimensions) the two worlds "retcon" was never canon to begin with (Ian Flynn, Sega US, Evan Stanley, etc have all confirmed this) but whatever I guess.
Dude, this caught me so off guard! Can't wait to watch it, but at the same time.. I'm a little bummed that it's finally over. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait 😁💚
Aside from a few errors in the subtitles, the game looks pretty solid. Voice actors were great, putting in elements from the Sonic X continuity is a nice touch as well. To me the X-Tornado was one of my favorite designs in Tails’s arsenal. My laptop’s CPU is too weak for me enjoy the game for unfortunately, but I’m happy I got to see a fully realized fan game!
Can't say I agree with all the design choices, but it's nice to see everything come to a nice end! I hope the Oroborous team keeps making games! I'd like to play an original one from them in the future! Talent like that should not be left in the dust!
ok so... Chris is dead, the Emeralds are gone, the Master Emerald is gone, Knuckles have no meaning on his life and now Eggman have a amusement park? this might be a way to see what Sonic's life would be like if Sonic X were canon
The problem is many incoherences come: Sonic X has its own stories about with Sonic adventure 1 and 2 but linking it to the main serie to explain why Sonic don't use anymore chaos emerald. It is stupid because he use them in Sonic colours DS (which has a story more complete than the Wii version and less childish) and in Sonic lost world. All what Sonic omens brought is a strange story uncanon with many things took without permission, the gameplay is maybe good but some level design are bad.
@@sometf2player752 because people pushed him, also his old discord sever was raided by angry sonic fans and kept spamming the N word and crap so they had no choice but to abandon it
sonic unleashed AND sonic x lore. Come on this is too damn good. Despite the earlier drama, these guys understand what made all of us fall in love with sonic and I honestly cannot ask for anything more.
I really like how they added their own take to the Meterex. And we’re those tickets supposed to be how Tails and Sonic went to Eggman’s space amusement park in Sonic Colors?
This. Was. AMAZING! When I saw CHRIS I was stunned, mouth wide open and everything! And that the guy wasn’t really a bad guy, he just wanted to go home and the post credit scene where tails got tickets to eggman land ( I’m assuming he’s not a villain anymore bc he got what he wanted if they got tickets ), shadow realizing he’s been manipulated into doing someone else’s bidding again, and knuckles leaving bc there’s nothing to protect anymore 😭. I wonder how he feels not being able to do anything to save the master emerald and what he’ll do now. RIP to Chris, never thought he’d grow to become a mad genius only to have it be his downfall and sonic having to give up the one thing he has to remember chip by was so sad. Besides the storyline being OP, the game itself is visually great and it looks like it ran as smooth as butter! Definitely better than something sega would make. Thanks for the gameplay!
32:44 I'm stealing this concept for my rewrite of Forces. Thank you very much. Also, RIP Chris. Also, it's weird to think that this is my final reminder of what Shadow sounds like in this game.
Now that the initial shock and memery have worn off (and also because I got hearted and therefore can't edit this comment anymore) I'll spill my thoughts here: 1. Shadow's characterisation S U C K S here. If this takes place after Unleashed (which it does) then Shadow should have moved on from his past. I know, scars like that never truly heal, but they do fade. tbh I'd be less harsh on it if we had some kind of explanation as to where the visions of Maria were coming from that didn't feel rushed. Also he's a dick to Sonic in the earlier bits for no reason. 2. That being said, the illusion Maria fight is sick and I'm stealing the concept to use later. Thank you very much. 3. Russian Shadow had actually lowkey grown on me at this point, but the actual voice acting became a bit questionable here. Russian Eggman, on the other hand, just works for reasons I can't explain. 4. Chris is...actually likeable here? He's not tied to Sonic any more, he had his own clear goals to work towards, and the boy finally mastered interdimensional travel! Also he's not 10 again for no reason like in the Metarex Saga. Honestly, I actually got kinda sad after finding out he had died. Also his voice acting's actually kinda on point. 5. I mentioned in the preview video that the level design had improved significantly. Unfortunately, however, there are only 2 actual levels in these last 3 episodes, and only one of them seems good. Shadow's level is actually well designed. Shadow's abilities are less of an afterthought than they felt like in Shadow of Water, and the developers finally acknowledged how fucked the physics engine they were working with was and worked with it. Sonic's level just feels sorta repetitive, sadly. 6. DAMNIT NOT ANOTHER TORNADO LEVEL 7. The boss fights. Maria Illusion seems kinda cheap but like I said the concept is sick and I'm totally stealing it. Exiled Phase 1 is...something. That's for sure. Filling up your energy meter to go super is a neat concept, but sadly the boss itself is just the same thing 4 times. Exiled Phase 2 is...not much better. The design lowkey reminds me of Justice from Guilty Gear (probably unintentional) and looks cool, but sadly it's just more of Phase 1. (EDIT: shit I forgot about Egg Birb/Metal Ember. Fairly basic chase boss, attack patterns are a bit unintuitive, overall pretty mid imo.) 8. The vocal themes for the Exiled fights are amazing. That is all. 9. RIP Chip. Again. 10. Rip 6 of the 7 Chaos Emeralds. 11. Wait, Eggman gave Tails tickets to his space park? Didn't Sonic and Tails break in in canon? 13. Eggman totally tried to go back in time to get his teaching degree and no one will change my mind. 14. All in all, still not very good overall IMO, but these final episodes are definitely an improvement.

Absolutely incredible story, unexpected stuff,I mean chris is back in this but sadly dead, and Maria and the metrax I mean let me be real I actually had a hunch that’s a metrax but goddamn this is far better than any sonic game storyline ever on my life
I gotta say you know what I realize In the after credits Because just like I said any other comment This feels like an afterstory of sonic unleashed Because in the story of omen It shows why sonic doesn’t have Chip’s necklace anymore and It also shows on Tails scene He has his computer pad and also two tickets To eggman space theme park. So in conclusion This is like a aftermath To this sonic story the one that has the voice Of an actor we know in the previous games And now comes a new story with a new voice and it’s the voice that we all know of.(bravo)👏
Fucking excellent. I'm so proud of everyone who worked on this. I really wish the very best for all of these developers and hope their talents and hard work gets recognised for bigger dreams. Idc what you lot say regarding the drama and the cliche "Sonic fans always say HiRe ThIs MaN!", i genuinely hope Frontiers' Cyberspace level design isn't below par with this. I hope these lot get hired and are given bigger budgets to go even beyond with their creativity and passion. Fucking love this. I could never TRULY despise this fandom, the talent and care and passion is just too much.
37:00 Holy crap, this looks so friggin GOOOOOOD!!!! The fluid movement, the great posing, even the quills make it look SICK! I may not praise this game for having set up a way to be monetized, but I can praise the animations. Sonic is more expressive than EVER in this game! In the name of Émile Cohl, Walt Disney and the holy James Baxter, please SEGA, PLEASE, P L E A S E USE SONIC'S POTENTIAL FOR EXPRESSIVE ANIMATION!!!!
I kinda have a cool fan theory as to how the Chaos Emeralds come into play still if Omens had actually happened: Basically Sonic had to break Chip's necklace or bracelet thing to unleash the Light Gaia power to heal the planet. That also will act to restore the Chaos Emeralds as it allowed Sonic the power to go super in the last fight. But it takes a while for the Chaos Emeralds to heal, regenerating as the events of Sonic Colors plays out (not the Ultimate version). By the end of Colors, the emeralds have reformed, though this could be pushed onward by Eggman's own meddling with the time stream causing them to return or just temporal duplicates. The emeralds fully reform by at least Lost World, explaining how the Chaos Emeralds come into play in the IDW comics and Frontiers. In summary: Sonic unleashing Light Gaia energies worked to repair the Emeralds, but keeping them out of play in canon for until they returned for use in canon sources
Gameplay wise this is really cool, and I appreciate the scope of the story, however if I have one major complaint is that it feels like we’re watching the sequel to a story without context to what came before. This seems to be following the lore of Sonic X mixed in with the games, however there’s certain events that are just explained through dialogue with minimal detail that would’ve been nice to have more context for. Also it’s hard to tell what is a part of the story and what isn’t. For example the story references the events of unleashed, which is from the main game series. But shadow also still seems to have amnesia as his wish was for the visions to end, which implies any game where Shadow has his memory didn’t happen. Normally I wouldn’t care about inconsistencies like this in a fan project but since it has an emphasis on plot and references other games a fair amount, I think it’s a valid criticism. Also voice acting can be hit or miss. However I’d say that the positives far outweigh the negatives.
@@eddygrand7881 Well we didn’t technically die. Of the English and Japanese dubs imply that he survived. In the Japanese one you even get to see Shadow’s shadow during the credits. However in sonic X he never did get his memory back so I suppose if there using that version of the amnesia arc instead of the one from sonic heroes and shadow the hedgehog, it would make sense.
Damn, this fan game looks awesome. The most outrageous thing ( it's positive here) is that it's made by fans and its quality equals a real studio's quality. I mean, there are stories, voice character, cutscenes, game design and it looks original. You can feel that they tried to put the best aspects of boost formula and adventure formula (I include sonic 06 ideas in adventure formula), they mix it and we got Sonic Omens. Really cool.
It’s really frustrating that Knuckles did absolutely nothing in the story! They basically just followed the SEGA mandates of Knuckles not being allowed to leave Angel Island without a good reason! Other than that though, it was awesome!
Just finished it myself, definitely not the worst fangame I've ever played (despite what some would have you believe) but definitely not the best either (in my opinion). A lot of the levels were pretty enjoyable. However the boss fights were mostly bland, with good concepts but all of the fights had a shit ton of jank to them that just impeded the fun I was having everytime they came up. Hell I could call a lot of this game just 'janky' But by far the worst of them all was literally the final boss fight against the Exiled. Literally most of his attacks (like the laser one or the slashing beam one) are REALLY FUCKING HARD TO AVOID IT JUST FEELS LIKE YOU GET HIT BY THEM EVERY TIME AND YOU CAN'T EVEN SEE THEM COMING! THE FORMER IS EVEN MORE EGREGIOUS BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW LONG YOU BOOST FOR YOU CAN NEVER OUTRUN THE LASER AND YOU CAN'T JUMP OVER IT EITHER SO YOU WILL ALWAYS GET HIT BY IT AND WILL LOSE ALL YOUR ENERGY TOWARDS GOING SUPER SONIC AND THERE'S JACK SHIT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. ON TOP OF THAT AS SUPER SONIC IN THE SECOND PHASE YOU CAN JUST GET STUCK INSIDE OF EXILED WITH JUST CONTINUELY GETTING HIT BY HIM AND LOSING ALL YOUR RINGS BECAUSE YOU TRIED TO HOMING ATTACK AND GET STUCK INSIDE OF HIM. IT'S LITERALLY THE WORST DESIGNED FINAL BOSS EVER AND I HATE IT!
It is! :D Here you can listen all music written by me for this game again: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YYyQBQ2Xkco.html&ab_channel=JohnR1se
For some reason I read that as Sonic's only regret at life was Forces writing and it made me lol. But yeah at least for Forces Ian Flynn is helping write it so hopefully it's more serious like this.
(SPOILERS for Sonic X if you haven't watched/finished it) Despite its many faults, Omens was a special Sonic fan game. In terms of it's story, it does a good job at giving us an original and authentic plot to follow, though can be at times confusing to read. I liked the inclusion of Chris for being responsible for the two worlds colliding. His death it honestly a very interesting choice of leading with his character and how he died was very sad. Would've been even more angsty if we saw it happen, I kinda wish we did. Ugghh! I'm supposed to hate Chris why am I feeling sorry for him!? Chris:SOOONIC!! Me: SHUT UP!! And that leads into the confusing part I was talking about when it come to the story. A lot of interesting plot is explained through exposition of dialogue, indicating a lot has happened off screen. Like the villain and Chris meeting each other, seeing each others ideals and working together, I want to see more of that! I want to SEE it not just HEAR. It would've been more interesting and more beneficial for developing Exiled's character. Who I feel like was giving very little to do in this game. And he's the main villain! And that "dream" sequence where Sonic sees Chris I felt was just half-assed. It has no other value then just showing us Chris has model for the game. Also, Knuckles was there... he kinda just stands around the master emerald until it BREAKS in the end which, by the way, WHAT!? Why did he leave? It's known he can put it back together and it's his bloodline duty to protect it. Rouge is another character I wish was giving more to do than just talk to Shadow over his mission. Now the voice acting is... I've bashed on the acting on several occasions already so we'll just say it could've used some work. I means it has its moments where its good but still that's only a little. I don't need to talk about Shadow. Actually how did he escape that wormhole in space in season 3!? I did like those little parts of humour shoved in there at times. "Should've carried the three." Eggman was probably my favourite voice in this game. He's just more amusing than most characters. The gameplay seems polished though at times looked a bit messy when there was so much on the screen. And the animations were nicely done... though at times very subdued and delayed (mainly the mouth movements). And optimisation seriously needs more work. Now I don't want to drag this out so I'll say this. Sonic Omens is another unique take on the Sonic lore using elements from other media to further develop its own plot and world building. And for that it has my respect. You had a nice run Sonic Omens. Now it's someone else's turn. See ya around.
Lol, too funny 2:45 The way, get in the way. Shadow sounds like he's barley trying to pronounce his words, and does not care. While Sonic sounds like he lost a tooth, voice acting is hilarious, highs and lows.
Ok, no disrespect on the actors or anything, but I know I'm not the only one thinking it, Shadow should be re-voiced. Otherwise, this game is excellent.
@@jurassicarkjordanisgreat1778 I was looking for someone to mention how butt Shadow voice acting and lines were. Not tryna be mean, at first I was on board but as he keep going I just kept pausing the video. I couldn’t keep listening I was constantly pausing and exclaiming how bad it is. And the lines were just reinforcing the edgy hedge shit we see nowadays. “Cause you couldn’t do it alone.” I was just like “UGGGH! WHY?” He always uses the same tone the whole time. When he asks questions it sounds more like a statement. I never try to be the nit picky guy cause otherwise I love this and the whole project. I think sonic and tails sound pretty good. The gameplay and cutscenes flow nice with good animation. It was just shadow and egg man.
@@277Shadow Him working with the main villain of the game makes no sense to me even more so since ever since shadow05 he said he forgets the past. Like Redoing the whole shadow as a villain plot is annoying
I don't mind Shadow's voice, I quite like it honestly but the VA definitely needed some better voice direction. His voice was very monotone and it was especially noticeable when he was meant to be questioning or reacting in surprise to something, there's no emphasis in his voice. Eggman definitely needed a different VA, I know speaking in a different language isn't an easy task but if it wasn't for the subtilties I wouldn't have been able to understand some of the things he said, for silly quips that's not an issue but he's basically explaining the whole plot in one of the cutscenes. But I still found both of their performances fine, voice acting is a tough job and I hope this fangame has given all of the actors a chance to improve even further. :D
@XGaming4K on the contrary I actually vibe hard with Eggman having an accent, he sounds close enough to Mike Pollock that the accent just adds this neat flair to his character that I think suits him more
I feel like people be hating on this game just because they don’t like the creator. Me personally I think this is absolutely incredible, but that Shadow voice is a pain to listen to Very Glad this got completed
I'm just glad to see that there are a lot of people who appreciate this franchise for the same things that I do. Unfortunately, Sega does not want to move in this direction. This was my best "sonic experience" in the last...I think 10+ years. And I wish the developers good luck in their next project.
Not try to repeat the "Sega hire this man" thing. BUT HOLY BANANAS THIS GAME LOOKS INCREDIBLE. THIS LOOK LIKE A LEGIT OFFICIAL GAME. Why can't Sega make games more like this
This game feels very short in terms of gameplay, only the cutscenes make it longer but that's not bad, this game is fine and i like how it's done despite the flaws
To be fair, the gameplay takes much longer if it's not edited. Especially the later episodes, some of the levels are pretty difficult and took me around 5 hours of recording time.
Here are some things.... One, I love how GameGuyNick's voice for Sonic sounds similar to Luxieharr's voice, who went for a Jalee White/Jason Griffith/Junichi Kanemaru feel to it. Two: 55:55 I thought I was going to cry .... Other than that, I am SPEECHLESS. I've been OBSESSED with this game since I first saw it when it was called "Sonic 2020 Episode White Jungle." SO BEAUTIFUL .... 💕💞

I've see all the episodes and don't like a couple of things : Chris die (in the anime Eggman don't say to him that travel again could let he die but age again in a age worse than 12 years old) and some comands that I've notice be a little stomach ache xD but for the rest I've apreciate the fact that this game has show the fond between Sonic and Chris, after all what Eggman had said Sonic defend the same at Chris consider he a dreamer and a person that has change the world and in a better way scold even to the Exile for had break Chris dreams and put the flowers. Sincerely I've prefer that Sonic use the Chaos Emeralds for save he
Before I… knew better, I saw a masterpiece underneath the flawed voice acting and convolution in this story. I thought the Patreon fiasco was a thing of the past. I thought the trouble was over. I just wanted to enjoy what I saw. Heh… if only. Don’t get me wrong, I felt just as betrayed as the next guy when I saw that doc. I mean come on, a project with this much ambition finished out of spite, and still hiding that Patreon? And what they did to Maria? That is seriously low, even for this fandom. It’s just… I wanted to love this game so bad, and especially this story. Even though this could never possibly be canon, this was a pretty neat what-if, even if it was a lot of tell, don’t show and was executed strangely. Especially the ending. Something about the idea of Sonic having to shatter his dear friend’s apparently all-powerful gift really moves me. Plus, the Exiled is a badass, the visuals are gorgeous, and that MUSIC, man. I could listen to it all day. I just wish it wasn’t all tied to that tragedy behind the scenes. If this game had a genuinely passionate and considerate dev team, it could very well have been amazing. Granted, it was probably a necessary evil to humble those who believe fangames are automatically unsung heroes, so we can make sure this never happens again, but… I can’t help wishing things were different
The devs actually posted a counter document addressing everything that document stated. They provided a lot of evidence debunking a majority of everything said against them
@@aethermaster1153 Ehhh, I guess I can cut them some slack on the Patreon and Gamejolt thing and Maria, but they still disrespected Techno Cinema by blatantly rejecting his take on the final boss music, and JOH can’t exactly un-say that he thinks there hasn’t been a good Sonic game since the late 90s. Plus, they promised patches a month ago and I don’t recall them ever releasing any since then. And I’m sorry, but the damage is done, man. This is how the fans see them now. Just look in the comment section under that same document’s Twitter post. Maybe they weren’t entirely in the wrong, but they are never going to recover from this. And that upsets me to no end, cuz again, I WANTED to love their work but they made that impossible to do, at least without facing this fandom’s wrath
@@KYRA_RISING I mean I get it. They were obviously never spotless from the start. I still enjoy their work because personally, I don't give a crap about who makes the game. I just want to play the game and if I enjoy it then I enjoy it. Idc what goes on behind the scenes unless it's something truly vile (Activision). For me personally, the opinions of the fan base don't phase me one bit. Mainly since I don't ever listen to criticism of others. I prefer to check things out myself and form my own opinion. Also because this is one of the most cringe-filled, biased, drama starting fanbases I've ever seen lol.
@@aethermaster1153 I guess in the end, nearly every company has done things that would be just as unforgivable if they were as small as Ouroboros. I always look at myself as an apologist for a lot of things but I break character much too often. And yeah, this fanbase may be awesome but that’s only like, half or 60% of the time. The rest of the time, I question why I’m even still in it. Go ahead and call it toxic positivity but I tend to listen to only good things while blocking out all the drama and whatnot. It’s the only way I can put up with it all. And this isn’t the first time I’ve despaired like this over a game that had so much hope going for it. I want EVERYTHING that comes out of the entertainment industry’s door to succeed (especially if it’s a Sonic game) unless, like you said, the company sins THAT bad. And even if the game does fail, I just start coming up with ideas of how it could’ve been made differently, which helps me feel better. In short, I’m still kinda neutral on this whole thing, but I’m just about ready to move on… and maybe even take interest in Ouroboros’ future endeavors. And I do still hope someone remakes this game or something. I hate to see a great idea like this go to waste
@@KYRA_RISING yeah I get that. They definitely didn't handle the situation well at all, so that didn't help their case. I'll give them a second chance, I think everyone at least deserves that. I try not to judge anyone based on their worst mistakes cause I wouldn't want to be judged on mine. A lesson, unfortunately, most people today haven't learned.
There's a lot to criticize and mock here, but that final boss fight is insanely good! It's definitely the most clever use of Supersonic in a boss fight, in any official Sonic game. The music for the fight was leagues better than what I imagined for a fan project. This isn't "This is incredible, for a fan game." This is "This is incredible, period." My mind is blown. Incredible work to the fan team who put this together. Steller job!
@@shunkun8668 1 you can mock the voice acting or Shadows bad characterization. 2.This game is definitely not better than official releases like the gameplay is very bad.
@@Starfallsupersonic Barring Forces, yeah, I'd say this has better gameplay than some official games. Like Colors (otherwise known as a gimmicky 2D game rather than the Boost title it's supposed to be) and Lost World (otherwise known as the game that feels more like a poor man's Mario game than an actual Sonic title). The fact that Shadow has unique gameplay mechanics is certainly a step up.
Mater: Dad Gum! I didn’t know they could break the locks. Lightning McQueen: Exactly. Why would you do that? 18:44 Dr. Eggman: I believe I can answer your questions. McQueen: What? Mater: Eggman? What are you doing in here? Eggman: Sonic and the others found me in the city, and I tracked you on my Egg Carrier, because you were going put yourself in prison. Knuckles: Well, that’s good, because Zurg Oak and the Daleks got the Master Emerald. Sonic: We know, Knucks. McQueen: Man, I can’t believe we let our world be in jeopardy because of… Sonic and Eggman: The Zurg version of the Metarex. Finn McMissile: Yeah. It’s the same thing happened to London, Propwash Junction and the other cities of the world. Tails: The Daleks are signing with Zurg Oak, searching for the Chaos Emeralds and the Crystal Stars, so he could use them to take over the Galacticverse. Chick Hicks: (Laughing) You’ve got a clever brain, Tails. Luigi and Guido have survived. Your friends from Radiator Springs have got captured by the Zurg Bots and they took them to the planet where Zurg Oak rules.
I’m glad I stuck around for them to finish this~!! Though I’m hoping we get some updates to the final episode. The camera is a bit off in places. Hopefully soon, we get a tweak for that, cuz these deserve all the love~

So, what happened to the Emeralds? Is there energy Ambient with the world now? Also, i never thought they'd use the Metarex. I'd forgotten about them entirely.
This game.. its ok. It may not be the best fangame, but it certainly does have its high moments. But, the negatives are kinda big. Like the bugs, and level design. Along with some of the voice acting. But, its definitely achieved in looking incredible.
Something I love that's in this game is if you collect the red rings you get access to these KH Ansem Report like things that explain a little lore. I accidentally unlocked the one that explains Eggman is currently no longer considered a criminal and is now building a amusement park in space out of the Metarex debris. So that's cool
on 37:25 that's named 'the citadel of lotus' what's the name of that music? I was trying to look it up on spotify, but couldn't find it. I really love that jam of that music. it's so good!
Glad you liked the music! Thank you! This track called "Countdown", you can listen all music written by me for this game, including this track here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YYyQBQ2Xkco.html&ab_channel=JohnR1se
@@frize0921 это про то,как Сумочкин сгорел от игры, не понимая как пройти босса? (Так как он озвучивал Эггмана, мне сразу и пришел в голову этот момент)
@@amazingaudroid1921 John R1se, the guy that helped with the music of the game, posted the document on his community tab. I saw it from there, as for the actual studio themselves, I don't follow them.
@@aethermaster1153 I went and found the document myself and they didn’t disprove most of the worst things that happened, they just made excuses as for why they shouldn’t have to be held accountable and made plans to do stuff to make themselves look better while backtracking on stuff like the ads after they were called out. (There’s no way they didn’t know they were getting money from those ads, you have to specifically choose to turn ads on and GameJolt says to only do so if you intend to make money off of your game, listing things like fangames as projects to have ads off for). Then there’s the things they did disprove, but they weren’t as serious accusations, or ones where their evidence is questionable or it’s just their word against Farkle’s. Neither party is in the right here, and the devs excuses aren’t enough for things like those textures especially when they’re so shaky and how those elements are only being removed because it’s the only real option they gave after being caught with that.
