Sonic Origins Plus - Super Amy Rose Does NOT Matter to Sonic Canon.. But Is It Necessary? 

I hope she does get a super form and in a future 3d game they have her go super for a final boss. otherwise it wouldn't really be fair, all the male hedgehogs have super forms and she doesn't, and even blaze, a female cat who is sonic's interdimensional counterpart meant to be the sonic of the sol dimension, has a super form through the sol emeralds. theres really no excuse to not give amy a super form.

No, I do not, at least not story wise, gameplay wise however yes similar to Mighty as Ray as to reward the player with the boost in speed and invincibility. From a story telling and or world building standpoint, it spits right in the face in making super forms not as special in doing so, ala like how say Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z says "apparently there's a super saiyan bargain sale" because the legend of the super saiyan became less valuable and more easily obtainable to acquire. Sonic's even going super is highlighted as part of a legend too from the tablet in 3&K which in turn Shadow himself was based off of and his inherit ability over chaos energy, with Knuckles he was the guardian of the master emerald and via extension it's controlling the chaos emeralds. Silver while not being in the same boat as the others, his makes sense from him mirroring Sonic in learning from Shadow in performing chaos control along with him being a user of kinesis like Blaze who for herself has her own set of emeralds in being their guardian in having her own version of a super form. Tails is questionable from at least his is probably meant to be an example of while he's young he's to have loads of potential (noted even by Eggman in Frontiers), but they granted him a super form from the super emeralds as he was still too young. The other thing is that for the mentioned characters, there's something that links them to the main character Sonic in how they all have all not only fought him, but fought toe to toe. Knuckles from his inception meant to be his rival if Sonic represented speed he was to represent strength to match that, Shadow a mirror/reflection of Sonic, Silver from the theme 06 with the 3 hedgehogs he represents the future whereas Sonic the present and Shadow the past as highlighted with the final boss across time and space, then there's Blaze who is an alternate universe of sorts of Sonic in terms of role, but her personality is the opposite of him. All these rival characters fittingly enough have been knights of the round too in The Black Knight and or in the 1st Sonic Rivals game (outside of Blaze in that instance).

Also knuckles has a connection with the emeralds as well as the master emerald as well as knowledge of how the emeralds work. Think about it, I’m not saying it’s a canon theory but Knuckles growing up on angel island had time figuring out how the emeralds work growing up until the point he met sonic, whereas Sonic didn’t go super sonic for the first time sonic 2 ending. So sonic was learning about the emeralds which in a way could explain why knuckles and egg man to extent could Knock sonic out of his super sonic form

@@SonicLegends super forms are already not special, 3 hedgehogs, an echidna, a cat, and a fox all have them, so thats just an excuse you all are making. theres nothing unique and exclusive about having a super form. eggman even has a super form in sonic movie 2. even mecha sonic has a super form. also what you all fail to realize about super saiyans in dragon ball is there is nothing taking away exclusivity for super saiyans, the bargain sale thing was just a joke. the way you trigger super saiyan is through having s cells, special cells in saiyans you get from being pure of heart and living a happy lifestyle. goku and vegeta had that on earth on top of being super saiyans already so the s cells in goten and trunks' genes were more than the saiyans of old so they gained super saiyan easily because of it. same with the universe 6 saiyans, they didn't have a chaotic planet of conquerors and instead were a peace keeping police force planet so it was easier for them to get s cells and therefore get super saiyan. quit acting like dragon ball experts when you haven't even kept up with the lore.

I am kinda surprised it took this long though, considering how little her own group is shown now (y’know, Cream, Big, I guess Rouge, maybe Blaze and Silver, Elise…….?)

@@spicybreadproductions1972 wrong. she's been part of the original group since her debut in sonic cd in the 90s and then her role in sonic adventure on the dreamcast and has even been part of the group in the sonic advance games as well, she's always been the female lead even if not playable, she's in almost every game in some fashion, get your facts straight. in fact she was literally created before sonic cd as sonic's girlfriend in the sonic manga in 1992 before tails' debut. she was created to be sonic's minnie mouse basically and they made the relationship seemingly onesided to not tie sonic down, and because they didn't want their relationship to be like mario and peach. in other words, not only is she the female lead but also sonic's main love interest basically, no matter how much people wanna deny it.

Hard agree. Amy not having one will hold back potential for the squad because it either means they'll 1) have to adapt around amy to leave her out or 2) they'll leave out not just amy, but also tails and knuckles from super fights to make it "fair". I do agree, i think amy definitely deserves it after how hard she's worked for her role in the series, but it's not about that. Refusing amy a super form doesn't just affect amy. It affects tails and knuckles too.

Tails could also go super in ssj4 gt vegeta fashion. or by sonic unleashed with the werehog by turning into some kind of multi tailed fox beast. Knuckles, you got a name drop from frontiers so don't worry about it. Rouge, she could also do so in like again gt vegeta ssj4 fashion. Cream, she doesn't need a super form but a ton of chao/s. And finally we have Amy, who according to Chaddyfantome in sonic retro in Google is fundamentally one of those anime magical girls, inwhich I think the sailor moon kind of transformation works better than the usual dragon ball transformation.

Not every character needs a super form. It's supposed to be a unique and special power that only a few have. If just about anyone can do it, than it loses all that specialty. I think it should only be limited to those who have a connection to the emeralds and have been shown to use the power of chaos. (Sonic, Shadow, Silver.) Perhaps Knuckles too since he has a strong connection the Master Emerald

How would you like super amy rosé's design to be like her super form in sonic origins ingame. But with the addition of two rings on her wrists with shiny pink glow on them. Her dress glowing rainbow and maybe bigger with added designs like ribbons, transparent glittery fabric, and petals. Her hammer use as a magic wand or scepter taking an odd shape where its head is smaller than its two faces with three lined spirals that either resembles a rose or hypnotism on those two faces of the hammer wand, with some additional accessories that matches the dress a little. And maybe a headdress like a hat, crown, halo or whatever. Idk.

@@crimsonzone8984 It sounds cool, maybe for an OC it could work really well, but for Super Amy I find it way too complicated and over designed, especially with origins being a Pixel art based game.

It's probably going to be like Mighty and Ray where she just flashes a bit, I don't think they're going to give her a full super form like the hedgehogs or Blaze

She can predict fate with her tarot cards, sense anyone from afar, once had a sentient car, conjure her pico pico hammer that was once stated to be magical, make anyone conjure their hammers with Amy's support, heal herself by thinking about sonic, bring her hallucination into reality, and turn invisible (though in p-06, she instead has an idol animation where she creates floating magical card constructs. Which is still fantastic). I would suggest that you search for Sonic Retro Forums in Google titled "A stupidly thorough thesis about on the conceptual origins of Amy Rose" to know more about the idea of Amy being a magical girl character. I want to just share the link to you but I can't seem to do it through youtube comments.

The thing with those characters is that the reason for them going super in making sense was that they have fought Sonic and or have gone toe to toe with him and being his rivals, hence fittingly enough Sonic Rivals. Blaze included too and looking at Sonic and the Black Knight which selected Shadow, Knuckles and Blaze along with Silver and Jet being knights of the round table while still maintaining the rival aspect. Having Amy go super would be baffling, from the mere fact Tails was only able to go super in the old games due to super emeralds and that was also due to him being younger compared to his modern self. So I frankly think she's just going to have the same thing that Mighty and Ray did in Mania.

@@ShermanYeo Gameplay wise yes otherwise getting 50 rings and all chaos emeralds with her would be pointless as to be granted the invincibility and super speed, but story wise just like Mighty and Ray it wouldn't be canon for story purposes. I'm not a fan of having a bunch of the Sonic characters having the power to go super as otherwise that does make the super forms less special or as Vegeta puts it "there's apparently a super saiyan bargain sale". I again have to stress the other prior characters made sense from how in 06 you have 3 hedgehogs with Sonic representing the present, Shadow the past and Silver the future in what even happens in the final battle. Or how Blaze is meant to be an alternate universe Sonic of sorts in terms of role and opposite personality to contrast, then there's Knuckles who was marketed as and from his creation to be Sonic's og rival who to Sonic's speed he was meant to be his match in terms of strength.

I just want them to be playable, getting super forms is really unnecessary in my opinion. I’m okay with the emeralds affecting everyone else differently, albeit almost as powerful as super Sonic
