As much as I love Super Sonic. There's just no point to putting in the effort of getting him in this game. He's basically a mode to see how well you can go through a level without gravity dives and shifts. And from what I've seen in other videos. SS is just a glorified Power Type any way.
I still think it's worth the effort. Super Sonic is kinda glorified achievement in this game, showing that you completed all missions for highest rank. And it's a challenge to play as him even if he's just plain broken (in a bad way).
@@bowens9211 gravity movements consume a lot a rings, you can't fly or ride on the rails and the speed you get when you collect some rings isn't so good
Super sonic in the First riders game was OP and fun to play as, Here he's nerfed to high hell... they don't even start you off with any rings in ZG, at least in riders 1 they gave you 30 rings to start with hell, SS can only use the Power paths to some extent, but only if he's in that sonic adventure super sonic boost mode thing. good job getting first place here though.
This really hurts to watch. The game is very badly designed around Super Sonic, in many stages he can't do anything (and this is by far the worst one in my opinion) it literally seems like Super Sonic was a rushed character added in the game later in development, he could have been a very good high risk = high reward character, that was difficult to master but good and fun to play. (Also one little thing that bothers me, is the fact that because super sonic can't use rings at all, he can't use gravity and for this reason the music never changes into the other better loops of the amazing soundtrack in this game, gigan rocks gets boring without the other parts of the song)
People complain how nerfed Super Sonic is but I just find him different. In Sonic Riders you got access to all shortcuts while lacking in speed because you were limited to boost. In Sonic Riders Zeeo Gravity you got only access to Power Type shortcuts but Super Sonic is really fast with his own boost without needing to waste too much rings on Gravity. So basically: SR Super Sonic: Uses Speed, Fly, Power shortcuts while SRZG Super Sonic focuses on his fast boost and Power shortcuts.
La FBK Hope Actually, Super Sonic in Sonic Riders didn't have a speed handicap. Besides boosting depleting thirty rings every time you used it, or taking shortcuts through the tracks, Super Sonic still takes the lead by just plainly racing alone. I tried it out with different racers, and Super Sonic is the only one who can take first place with almost no effort. I didn't use any shortcuts or boosted at all, and I still won. How you ask? I was a minute ahead of everyone. Had I boosted and used shortcuts, I would've been two minutes in a half ahead. OP if I ever saw it.
The major issue with Super Sonic in this game is that his befits literally aren't worth it. The Super Sonic Boost is pretty fast, but it's ungodly slow for a Charge attack, doesn't do any damage unless you have a Charge power-up active and doesn't even allow you to use spring shortcuts. That along with the absolutely disgusting ring efficiency rate for Gravity Control makes him a chore to play as properly. He is, however, a decent choice for on-foot runs but then you could just buy The Crazy for that and you'd ALSO end up getting one of the BEST Gravity Diving gears in the game.
One small thing that can help, if you use Gravity Control just as you hit one of those Gravity dive rings, you'll still get the Meteor Boost, which is a bigger boost than just riding though them. Also, try just tapping Gravity Dive when you get to that first jump. It won't work, but it'll put you in the air for a split second, which lets you overshoot the ramp and sends you farther down the path before you lock onto a wall since you carry the momentum from before with you.
Unfortunately no, I've never seen anyone utilize it, and I don't really have a proper setup to record stuff myself unless I decide to invest in Dolphin. But basically, for the Gravity Dive trick, you just have to be actively using Gravity Control when you hit the dive ring to get the boost. Your character will do the Meteor Dive boost pose and shout, but will just fall back to the ground instead of continuing on. For the Gravity Dive trick on the ramp, you just have to try hitting a Gravity Dive right when you're about halfway to two-thirds of the way onto the ramp. You'll know you've got it if your character is suddenly in their falling pose. You can even use it in other places to overshoot jumps and cut corners. Like, you can do it on that big inverted quarter-pipe jump on Snowy Kingdom before the loop and your character will just flop over to the other side or you can use it on the jumps that send you into vertical section in the Crimson Tower stages to just throw yourself at the wall. The tighter your timing is, the better results you'll get.
No problem. I've played this game religiously for years now and I'm a bit of a glitch hunter myself, so I'm always happy to share my discoveries. Hell, I'd probably still be playing it, but I'm used to the GameCube controller, and my Wii-U doesn't support it. XP
God they nerfed him so bad in this game like in sonic riders he could fly grind and break through things but in this game instead of making him different from other characters BECAUSE HES SUPER SONIC they make him a power character instead of all 3 as well as if you do gravity dives his rings go out instantly so yea he might be cool to have but not very fun to play with
I see what they were trying to do with Super Sonic here: You get unlimited amounts of Gravity but at the MAJOR cost of rings. And I understand why they put the Magnetic Barrier in the layout, but unfortunately I feel like they genuinely didn't think it all the way through and the delivery was just plain awful. It shouldnt cost all of your rings to the point where you're at an inability to ride state. He's good to have knowing that you succeed/mastered everything in the game, but he shouldn't be nerfed to this degree. It's SUPER Sonic for a reason.
I really do love Zero Gravity, it just didn't grab me that same way the original game did, and doesn't have me coming back to it over and over again in the same way. Maybe it's the change in speed, maybe it's something else entirely. Either way, I really hope for a proper riders sequel, with a neat story and everything that makes the first two games fun!
As much as i love super Sonic he's worse then his base form. The ring draw is unbalanced his super sonic form should give him power, his natural with the rails so he should be able to do both, and since he is super sonic he can fly... So shouldn't he at least be able to utilize all those benefits? Especially when his fuel is ring and they get used up rather quickly and ultimately don't refill that fast. Its harder to play him ngl. The only solution would be for some Russian hacker or a group of developers who are sonic fan to hack the game provide an update and fix the major issues while keeping the core untouched so it doesn't become a different game
IKAGURA96 I disagree. I played it once with a girl and it was lots of fun). The only thing that I really don't like about that game is the lack of proper story. Gamepad controls options would have been nice too.
He says "Yes!" when he jumps and "Great!" when he lands successfully. For some reason, his "Great!" sound byte is really crappy quality, so it's hard to make out.
just Stop Lol xD. Truth be told, I quite like that game but I don't have a console with a capture card so I can't record anything from S06 or Unleashed HD.
