CRAP LOL I totally FORGOT that the Sonic Prime VA's are not the same as the Game VA's! Well.. no wonder why Shadow sounds good (voiced by Ian Hanlin). I was dissing Kirk for no reason 😆 Anyway, lemme know what you guys think about all this news!
It’s not so much “Is Superstars going to sell well?”, but rather “How are the investors and corporate gonna view Sonic after the sale numbers?”. If Superstars or even Origins Plus somehow underperform, the investors or corporate are gonna think like “Oh, it doesn’t sell well enough, guess the fans don’t want stuff like this anymore.” THAT is what fans are fearing. So even though if quality is lacking, they feel they have to buy it because they don’t wanna go back to the 06/Boom days of reputation. Granted, Sonic is in better limelight now thanks to the multimedia…but the bigger you are, the harder you fall. And it wouldn’t take much to knock Sonic down into the ground again with a mediocre movie or another ‘06’ or ‘Boom’. IDW is going out of business in a slow painful death, so the comic series might be put on hiatus. Origins Plus has some…..interesting bugs and features. Not to mention Sega America corporate is trying to come down hard on the union stuff. It’s still a bit iffy with Sonic and probably will be for the rest of the decade. People tend to forget that there’s still a *buisness* behind the mascots they love.
Japan is way too hard on sales numbers though! It's ok to be moderately successful. That's when you make an even better sequel and learn from your mistakes.
@@febajoe2773 I paid full price for this when it came out and now if I want the shitty bonuses I have to pay 10$, on top of having to have waited a year for fixes that should've been relatively quick. They fucked this easy collection up so badly. It's corporate segas meddling.
Nah. Sonic 1, Sonic CD, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic Triple Trouble, Knuckles Chaotix, then Sonic Mania, then the Saturn era, then the Adventure games and the modern era, then Sonic Generations. Otherwise, why else would Generations have stuff from those later games?
@@macuser7048 Because Classic Sonic is in Generations so at some point Classic Sonic has to travel to the future. same goes for mania and forces, also Sonic Adventure takes place before generations. And Tails Adventure takes place during Sonic 1 before CD & 2
SegaSonic,Sonic 1, Sonic 1 gg, CD Sonic 2, Sonic 2 gg(Generations) 3andK, and you can make up what you want with the rest of the games. Unless you guys want to hear MY timeline, I hope.
1:40 Possible spoilers There may be more playable characters there was a pre order bonus shown and now deleted saying there was a Lego eggman costume so he could be playable
I grew up with Sonic because My folks got a Sega Genesis for me. I was more of a Sega kid. Not like I didn't play Mario though. My cousin had a NES and a Genesis. I got a Game Boy with Super Mario Land 2.
2:27 He sounds the exact same as he did in the first 8 Episodes, so technically not really an "improvement" if he already sounded great from the start and just doing more of the same.
The big thing to consider for both Superstars and Wonder is that the economy isn't doing so well and entertainment products are usually the first things chopped when you're worried about if can afford your grocery list.
Hmmmmmm..... I think this cutscene is suggesting that Generations might have split the Classic Sonic timeline. That would mean that Generations takes place after Sonic 3K and that the discrepancy of Classic Knuckles and Amy not being in Generations was because the developers didn't know this timeline would come to fruition. Just replace Modern Knuckles and Amy in the White Zone menu with their Classic versions whenever you are using Classic Sonic
Sonic 3 & Knuckles had 12 zones but the games were sold separately. You want to talk about double dipping LOL. Dude they charged full price for each of them SEPARATELY. That's over 100 bucks for the whole thing. Granted, they released them all in collections later on. Saturn had Sonic Jam, Windows had Sonic and Knuckles Collection, ect. But Sega charging 60 for Sonic is nothing new.
Sonic Superstars taking place after Sonic 3 and Knuckles kinda makes sense mostly that is Sonic 4 more than the Sonic 4 we got in 2010 and 2012, how I see it, Sonic 1 > Sonic CD > Sonic 2 > Sonic 3 and Knuckles > Sonic Superstars > SegaSonic Arcade > Sonic Generations (Classic Sonic) > Sonic Chaos > Sonic Triple Trouble >Sonic 3D Blast > Sonic Blast > Knuckles Chaotix > Sonic Mania (Mania Mode) > Sonic Forces (Classic Sonic) and Sonic Mania Plus (Encore Mode) and then Sonic Pocket Adventure which leads into Modern Sonic. I'm going to get both Sonic Superstars and Super Mario Bros. Wonder BC I like both (plus I'm glad Super Mario Bros. Wonder is not called "New" Super Mario Bros. Wonder)
After season 2 and season 3 I hope to see more seasons of Sonic prime with 8 new chapters episodes to come I like those 8 episodes for each seasons even though the first season was rushed,Netflix and wildbrain are taking their time for season 2 of Sonic prime rather than rushing it,It’s better along with the poster on fire 🔥 Sonic prime season 2 is going to be greater and better than season 1
Well superstars might sell well but here’s another thing, wonder will have mor content like take a look at new super, all of it had 9 worlds vs superstars has 12 zones like sonic 2 and times has changed a lot especially after both movies came out but either way gonna buy both games
The problem for Superstars is going to be its price : $59.99 vs Mania's launch price : $19.99 and another game in the same game style - Freedom Planet 2 - $24.99 It is also launching in a recession unlike those older titles so people are going to be extra selective on what entertainment they blow their money on.
The game also has 12 zones, just as much as Mania, so we can assume comparable length. $60 for 2-3 hours long game is unacceptable and I'm sure it will reflect on sales. People might buy it for $40 for brand recognition alone, but not for $60. It's the price of Frontiers and for such price there should be comparable amount of content.
To be fair at least superstars is gonna have 12 ORIGINAL zones while mania had only 4, assuming all the zones will be mania quality (a few probably won't be I bet) I'm fine with it
I don't care about original zones, maina still had new gimmicks making them just feel like skins, and even then I still had a blast. $60 for this game is 3x the price so I should expect at least 2-1.5x the content.
If superstars is after the S3&K era, im wondering, is it a true sonic 4? or is that not gonna be the case and superstars takes place somewhere else in the timeline or just isnt canon.
8 player battle mode, that sounds awesome but bad at the same time. if the whole squad is just two of each character then it won't feel right. I'm glad it's up to 8 players but most likely I'm sticking with four until we get other classic characters
The last zone sonic and the gang were in was Studioopolis cuz you can see the egg man buildings and stuff also that's obviously just mania type zone the jungle prob just some random jungle the canyon was mirage saloon and yea with the Mania Theme Playing at the End it was most likely not a tease to Super Stars Since non of the Levels look like the SuperStars Levels
It's one of the Tee Lopes tracks for Sonic Superstars .... lol jk. I put the link in the description. It's called "High Flyer" by Karl Brueggemann (was also used for a Sonic Mania level mod)
@@macuser7048 as much as I like the idea of the 8 unique characters I’d prefer if all of those characters are very good quality, not buggy, and of course fun to play. I’d take a smaller but high-quality cast rather than a massive cast with lower quality.
@@randompersontrying9700 They all play relatively the same. Ray being able to glide and Mighty being able to smash like Knuckles would not change much at all and won't break the game.
What I see is that _both Sonic Superstars and Super Mario Bros Wonder_ seem so similar in their appearance and gameplay that you could probably *Insert the Other Game's Characters into them, *and _be able to play them Perfectly still._ So *What If that was Intentional?* Hear me out: What If _Nintendo and Sega_ collaborated with each other to release *a Switch-Exclusive DLC* for these Two Games that adds the Core Characters of the Other's *(Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy* from _Superstars,_ and *Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad* from _Wonder)_ as Playable Characters? It's *not the First Time that Mario and Sonic have crossed over* with each other, and _an Extra Four Characters_ in each Game to play levels as, *even if they couldn't utilise their old or new Environment's Powers,* would reinvigorate players' interest in these games! It's *a Pipe Dream,* but if _they actually planned this far ahead,_ everyone would be going wild...
For me personally, I'm gonna have to Go with Sonic Superstars over Super Mario Bros Wonderland. Mainly because I'm into high speed action platforming. Honestly Sonic Superstars is either going to gave 24 or 36 levels depending on whether each act is going to have 2 or 3 levels in each zone. Not hating on SMBW, but I'm honestly quite disappointed with how their animation looks and plays out, it looks mid compare to New Super Mario Bros Wii, U & Deluxe. That's just my opinion.
