I really struggled with this fight..kept running out of rings near the end because I couldn't find enough and Knuckles would keep appearing right as Sonic gets sucked into that dragon 'cutscene', so I couldn't fetch his rings often times. Finding enough rings felt purely random to me, but if there's some strategy behind it that I missed please let me know, I'd be really curious
Not for $60 I'm afraid, unless you really enjoy Sonic games. The game is alright, but it's nothing I'd go wild over personally. Main story is really short (3-4h), but there's an extra story which has a few more levels. I'd say there's about 10 hours of content (all modes combined, and assuming you don't get stuck at the more difficult sections)

You have to hit them as their green markers overline with the white ones. Take a close look at the video and you'll see it. It can be sorta rough under pressure after an 8m boss fight though.
Even if it's brief i like that classic Super Sonic finally shows up in a CD style cutscene in this one. Really thought Origins would do it for Sonic 2 or 3&K.
I think the only reason I managed to beat this boss as quickly as I did was because I somehow got Amy and Trip to spawn in with the rings boxes to give me enough of a buffer to not have to worry about rings too much.
Honestly the Dragon doesn't look that intimidating to me besides the head, wish the model was more thin like actual dragons and had larger wings (like twice the size)
They could’ve at least given us a flying Super Sonic in story mode but nope. I wasted 3 hours of my life that (I’ll probably never get back) trying to fight a dragon… Thanks for that, Sega.
Shoot! This is a ultra hard fight! I will not deny it! But I think it would be better if: - If they gave us context of it's aparition - Have Super Trip alongside Super Sonic

I feel that I would have liked it better if we fought the Black Dragon AS Trip’s Super Dragon Form, NOT as Super Sonic. Also I think they made all 3 final bosses too hard by them having unfair instant kill cheap attacks, there is a difference between hard but fair and hard because of BS difficulties.
First of all I struggle with a platform donkey Kong and now sonic superstars! I STRUGGLE WITH THIS MF FIGHT WITH THIS FAT @$$ DRAGON CUZ I KEPT RUNNING OUT OF F&@KING RINGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!!
Someone is playing on switch ? i have big trouble since some hours on this boss and because during the meteor fight I don't have the target for the 2nd meteor so I can't repel it...
I’m quitting the last fucking story from sonic superstars! I kept missing the blue fucking meteorites I struggle finding or collecting the damn rings. I also struggle by charging forward as the mf dragon that shoots black @$$holes cuz it’s so fucking hard THAT IT FUCKING COST 10 RINGS BY PRESSING A OR B TO PREFORM A FUCKING DASH!!!!! I FIND THIS BOSS ANNOYING. AND THE PHASES HAS NO FUCKING CHECK POINTS!!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!

When I pull the final blow, it was all white and makes it I lost the fight and I had to fucking start over again. It was really bullshit. And i was playing it on the switch. Was it a glitch or was it just me? and if anyone has that same issue too. Cuz fuck this final boss fight.
it's not obligatory U can just NOT get the Chaos emeralds and nothing will happen. Yeah, bad ending, but still, it's NOT obligatory to get the Super Sonic final boss

We’ve just had a whole decade of that NOT happening in the mainline Sonic games(Sonic 4, Sonic Colors console version, Sonic Lost World, Sonic Forces, and Sonic Colors Ultimate), and only Sonic Colors DS, Sonic Generations, and Sonic Mania had final bosses that involved needing Super Sonic, which is why we’re happy that super transformation final boss fights are back to being a mandatory staple since the majority of Sonic games from Sonic and Knuckles to Sonic And The Black Knight, and most of us hope that things stay that way in future Sonic games!
