Well, this is actually really nice. I do still prefer the Genesis version, but I really do think that it still sounds nice, even with such a wildly different sound chip.
It does but these remixes are old and back then there were issues with pitch bending and soundfonts with the software used. Could also be lack of experience :)
It could actually be closer, as the SNES uses a sample based music system with a slight soundfont. But when people think of SNES remixes, it's just the smw soundfont, which is fine. Just a slight nitpick!
...not bad for snes but if we talking about this song in a sonic game...ahhhh Don't get me wrong the song is good but genesis imo fits better but the snes could be use in other nintendo games but not in a sonic one
This is a fake remix but it does sound good If you’re wondering why I say it’s a fake well the SPC 700 Soundsystem for the SNES uses samples so you could have like genesis samples and it would be just a re-creation of the original
I am confused by some of the trivial changes. Why is there like only 3 colors in the fonts? why is sonic missing over half his frames? Why do the monitors look nothing like the original? Surly these things would not have been an issues in a version of the game that has not been fitted for a cart yet.

Inaccurate,the snes version will sound just like the original seeing as most of its music is sample based,meaning it uses instruments from prerecorded things,still great music though
There are only two Sonic games I know of that are available for the SNES. One of them being "Sonic the Hedgehog" A.K.A "Sonic the Hedgehog 4", which is actually just a bootlegged/hacked version of "Speedy Gonzales: Los Gatos Bandidos". And the other game being "Sonic the Hedgehog 2", another hack/boot, this time, it's of Sparkster. (Also, both of them were made by the Twin Eagles Group.) :p
