Pixel Dan returns with an all-new episode of P2P! Twenty episodes ago, Dan devoted the episode to looking at several Sonic the Hedgehog toys and collectibles. I think it's kinda ironic that we never got to see the Classic video game version of Dr. Robotnik appear in the Archie Comics series, particularly when the comics were first released in 1992. :P

Hey everyone. I have hundreds of figures "mint on card" and I cant decide if I should leave them like that, or open them. Opening pros: Takes up less storage space, its fun to open them, I can pose/display them Opening cons: Devalues them especially if they're rare, loses that "WOW look at all those MOC figures!" feel, open figures can get dusty or broken, and usually end up getting tossed into a box with hundreds of other open figures. So.... should I open figures or leave them alone?

I passed on the old ones, the new style ones actually can pose and look good! Of course I only have Knuckles and Sonic from the modern Styled ones, but they're great! Sonic's head makes him top-heavy unfortunately, but Knuckles has no issues and is my favorite out of the two! :)

I actually have those figure and if you position robotnik correctly it'll be better for him to stand and glue the guns in the egg robot hands

The way I got the egg robos guns toy use as a figure stand by turning the handle bottom to fit in to a lower are of the jet pack.

You know what Not to be concerned but I find the articulation is ok with the jazwares figures, if you just wanted to display them then those figures are very good for that.

I love these figures and there my favorite sonic figures the only things I don't like are the belly swivels and no classic knuckles really jazwares was there any reason to make a classic amy over knuckles

I don't think they're that bad, I've seen much worse looking, and much less posable figures. And I bet if you do it just right, that gun would stay in the egg robot's hand and then I bet the weight of the gun would put him in balance so he stands up.

I still love Jazwares' Sonic stuff. Their sculpts are terrific and at least you can get more poses out of them than those Mario vinyl figures that can only stand with their arms in varying up and down positions. I think you were just a wee bit too hard on them. Besides, aren't action figures supposed to just be placed on shelves in static positions to be looked at? I don't see the problem with them being limited to certain poses. No defending the Egg Robos, though. Those are just plain flawed.

@Mandalorian30 Soooooooo, you're just going to ignore that 5 inch Sonic of theirs that you gave a rather positive review to? Also, their 10 inch Classic Sonic is fantastic, so don't write Jazwares off as terrible until you've seen that. It is absolutely spot on, very articulated, and has no problem standing.

the grabber badnik is a bit too small but it a nice freebie to those complaining about no classic knuckles, he was not in generations, since most of these are based on it, minus amy but what you do

i have a funny story about Sonic.. back in 1992 me and my brother used to fight over who got to be tails LOL.. god we had some HUGE fights over who got to be tails, and who got to be Vega in SF2... now im 29 and i WISH i had problems so silly.. ah childhood.. how i miss you :) but that tails figure is awesome. maybe ill buy it and give it to my brother and tell him (ok, you win, you can have tails) hahahah!

I really wish Jazwares would step up their game; they're ruining potentially good video game related toy lines. The Street Fighter figures fall apart, the Mortal Kombat figures have horrible paint apps (for the most part), and these Sonic figures can't even be displayed properly out of their package...so sad.
