Let’s be honest, Sonic’s writing in the 2010s era for the most part was pretty bad. Sonic Team thought it was a great idea to make Sonic only light hearted, kid friendly and only appeal to younger audiences when really Sonic should appeal to everyone like Mario. In the 2010s era, do we have any dark moments? They tried to in Forces but no. Sad moments? Not really (even during sad moments it didn’t really feel as sad) mature moments? Nope. Cause apparently everything just has to be all kid friendly and goofy because apparently kids can’t handle dark, serious and mature things. Yeah they really need to fix the writing in Sonic games. Not that I didn’t enjoy the games of the 2010s era, I actually did I think Colours, Lost World and Generations are great. I think Forces was alright. But the writing just wasn’t that good. So here is a video showing you five examples of bad writing for Sonic’s character and five examples of good writing for Sonic’s character. All of the good writing clips were from games in the 2000s era not the 2010s because the 2000s was back then when the characters weren’t ruined. I don’t mind humorous moments and there were definitely some moments I enjoyed in the 2010s meta era but when there is too much humour it’s just annoying, cringe and unfunny and needs to stop. Sonic already perfectly appealed to kids back then I don’t get why they’re doing this now. Anyway, I hope you guys really enjoyed. Thanks for watching and let me know if you agree with me! Hopefully the next Sonic game has good writing.
