Marble zone, act 2: very convenient of you to make up that stage skipping glitch knowing there are 2 parts right after it that's impossible to move past without collecting rings.
Make up? I mean, the screen wrap glitch is pretty commonly used in Sonic speedruns because of how the levels are mapped out and how collision detection works. Unless you meant something else there
Beautiful! Such creative play that I never would have imagined! For me, the highlight was leading the buzz bomber through spring yard. I've got no clue how you figured that out.
To pass those rings Razor used shield and Buzzer. From 9:30 to 10:30 he just delievered this Buzzer to checkpoint (and those rings) then took damage, lost shield but passed over those rings.
At first I was like what the hell is Sonic doing in Spring Yard, chasing that buzz bomber for no reason? (Reminds me of me when I'm trying to get rid of a fly from the house.) Then I realised its ultimate purpose was to damage boost you through the otherwise unavoidable ring and I was like 'ohhhh...'
Awesome work done here, guys. Sometimes I can only ask myself: Why didn't you collect the ring? It's so obvious. Other times, you were very close to death, especially in Spring Yard Zone. :D

More like Wacky Workbench (6:56) - Involves bouncing on enemies after hitting a speed monitor to skip large sections of the act Hydrophobic Part 1 (12:24) - Just skip a large part of Labyrinth using a moving platform Star Lightspeed (17:52) - Using a spring and a fan, you can pull momentum out of your ass Smacked into the wall multiple times (20:22) - Use a spinning platform to clip into the wall and pull more momentum out of your ass, then use a moving floor to do it again Hydrophobic Part 2 (23:09) - Just abuse the fact that the walls are not steep enough to prevent you from skipping it
fantastic run! genius use of the bomber and shield in spring yard zone, nicely done! seeing as Sonic 2 awards you at the end of each act for a "perfect run" for collecting EVERY ring, would you be tempted to do a 'Perfect Run' of Sonic2? :P also what are those borders?
As a kid when I played sonic mega collection on gamecube I always tried to beat sonic 1 with no rings but I was never able to do it, I plan to try again eventually
So what did you actually do in the end to remove the Labyrinth Act 2 door? Was the glitch in the jumping over the monitor or something? Amazing video by the way, whichever jump sounds were used ; )

Very skillful done! What did you do in act 2 of that marble level? Seems like you were waiting to jump then you got whisked to the end of the act. Is it a glitch in the game?
Razor & Gen: *mindlessly jumps back and forth between platforms at **9:30** for a whole minute* Me: *kills the buzz bomber, get to the right platform in one foul swoop, and moves on*
I'm 6 months late, but no, there isn't. If you want to, you can go try it out yourself with savestates. Every "normal" path is blocked by unavoidable rings. There is no way past them. So you need to avoid all the normal paths entirely, which forces you into using the underflow bug.

I'm quite curious to know what would happen if you collected a ring. Do you die? Is it like Sonic 1: Omochao Edition? Is it like a type of challenge where the goal is to not gather any of the rings??
