Distributor: NCircle Entertainment
Release date: September 16, 2008
Description on the back cover (which also lists the episodes included on this particular disc, meaning that I don’t have to dedicate an entire separate section to such a list):
“ULTRA SONIC - Sonic and the Freedom Fighters journey to Robotnik’s lab in hopes of deciphering his roboticizer system. While underground, Sonic spots his now-roboticized Uncle Chuck on board a Badlands-bound mine train and devises a plan for his rescue.
HOOKED ON SONICS - Sonic conquers Robotnik’s latest evil, a vehicle designed to locate and destroy living tissue matter, during a solo mission to the Badlands. Upon Sonic’s return, the Freedom Fighters honor him with a victory party. Envious of the attention Sonic has been getting, especially from Sally, Antoine sets out on his own solo mission: to prove his worth by capturing Robotnik.
WARP SONIC - When Sonic and the Freedom Fighters take out Robotnik’s main computer, they’re trapped by Swat Bots in an underground tunnel, only to be rescued by a handsome teenager named Griff. Grif then takes them deep beneath the Big City, where Sonic has to fight the treacherous Rat Bots.
SONIC AND THE SECRET SCROLLS - Sally, Rotor, Bunnie, and Antoine take off in a homemade airplane, bound for an ancient city hidden deep in the Great Mountains, while Sonic follows via his favorite mode of transportation: his sneakers. Their quest is to find the ‘Secret Scrolls’ that have great powers they hope to use in their struggle with Robotnik. To get the scrolls, the Freedom Fighters are confronted by a maze of booby traps and puzzles that test their intellect, strength, and courage. Things go from bad to worse when Robotnik shows up with a Swat Bot team and demands the scrolls.”
Bad news, everybody: I couldn’t get the final disc (4) of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!: Volume 1 to play on my PC. The copy that I bought used had that final disc scratched up to the point of no return, and I’ve decided that completing my set of videos tackling the entire set wasn’t worth the $25 needed to buy a replacement copy. If I’m able to track down another copy for a far cheaper price, I’ll totally tackle Disc 4 in the future, but for now, I need another series to fill up Mario’s now-empty gap in my uploading schedule. Thankfully, I happen to have the perfect substitute: that famous Italian plumber’s incredibly speedy, chili dog-loving rival-turned-frenemy, Sonic the Hedgehog!
As for which exact one of Sonic’s many cartoons will be featured here, I’m tackling the blue blur’s Saturday morning action-oriented classic from ABC, produced by its then-corporate sibling DiC Entertainment (who also made the Super Show! and Mario’s later television cartoons). I sadly do not own the Complete Series DVD set of Sonic’s ABC cartoon (better known as “Sonic Sat-AM”, to distinguish it from the far wackier and more lighthearted weekday afternoon Sonic series that premiered in the same month of the same year) from Shout! Factory, but I DO own two of the show’s many compilation discs from NCircle Entertainment. We’ll be looking at the older of those two DVDs in my collection here.
But don’t worry: the other shows whose DVD releases I’ve been uploading in full on this channel - Totally Spies!, Johnny Test, and Grojband - will continue getting covered as originally planned, with the first and last of those listed shows getting their final discs I have in my collection featured later this week.

CLOSING:
1.) “Also Available from NCircle” screen
