Infinite should make an return, but not for a while because I feel like if he comes back after many years since forces people will be more shocked and thrilled to see him and become more powerful than ever!!!
To be honest, although i want him in the closest game, i really do like this way, and they could even make as if he got more powerful than other villians (maybe even more than Solaris)
DarkShadow 101 maybe for a sonic hero’s 2 there are more teams and he gets all there data and the chaos emeralds data and the master emerald data and then add a new type of chaos like diamonds that he does not have the full data of and use it to try and destroy the other teams
DarkShadow 101 what would be cool to also give him a mind control ability we’re he can only do it the bosses in the sonic games like get the real versions of the characters like the other egg man, chaos, zavok and the other deadly six teaming up with egg man that would be epic
I think he should return. Maybe have him search for what was left of the phantom ruby only to find the last remaining survivors of the Jackal Squad and have them accompany him on his journey. Maybe make them be a secondary version of Team Dark, Team Jackal.
If they bring Infinite into the Paramount movie franchise I feel it could work. He could use his illusions to mess with Sonic. If they make a Shadow spin-off, Infinite could mess with Shadow by making a fake Maria and emotionally devastate him.
The thing is though, Infinite has more of a chance to return since we're not exactly sure what happened. The 2006 villains were erased from series canon, so I'm not really seeing them return outside of White Space.
@@emeraldphoenix5868 I definitely would like to see Mephiles return. Mephiles was a real threat to not only Shadow, but the Sonic franchise as a whole.
I feel like if they brought him back, they'd need to do a bit of retconning in terms of his story. I want them to stick to their guns and make sure Forces is still canon, yes, but I think out of every aspect of that story, Infinite's backstory was the most disappointing. Or, at the very least, they should expand a bit more on The Jackal Squad or maybe explain why Shadow's "I am not weak" thing got to him so much.
He should come back, mainly because of the idea of a phantom ruby, every action story has their villan with illusions, maybe they should redo his story since "almost" every game is a reboot, like have him work for eggman a bit but then he notice theres nothing else in for him so he leaves eggman and fights for himself, and when he loses make him look for the shattered pieces of the phantom ruby and come back a next game, but that theme tho, maybe thats one thing i hope they dont change.
I agree. After all, Silver had a rocky start when he first debuted. He was hated hated and rediculed, but now look at him! people love him! Plus, unlike Zavok, Infinite has his own theme. Not only do people love it, but some have even remixed it. So yeah, i think this guy deserves a second chance.
I feel his best chance currently is in the Idw comics teaming up with Spoiler: Dr. Starline after Eggman turns on him as they both would have a grudge against him
Yes but if they'd actually make his character match with his song, it's a character theme and should fit with his character and what example is this being the case? It has the lyrics "The pain persists, I cant resist. But that's what it takes to be Infinite." so why does this matter? He should've been a character who thrives off of pain, not getting sensitive by being hurt by Shadow.
I hope he does return but in a future series not the one we have now (sonic prime)or he should be in sonic prime or Something i want him for a series instead of a game
It's the writing, Ken and Graff didn't make him feeling like he lived up to expectations and not utilizing it properly, the theme song is very dark and the words like "I am the sharpest of blades, I'll cut you down in a second." is not what their Infinite represents.
Yeah I seen that. I did think it was kind of odd for him to be there out of all the other characters. But makes sense seing as it was released around the release of Forces.
BlueKnight V2.0 Yeah. It’s also strange that it’s the only monopoly gamer board that doesn’t have extra characters to buy. It’s like SEGA has some weird thing about using any other characters besides Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, or Amy.
I'd be fine with Zavok and Infinite returning but make them real threats and do them correctly Zavok can withstand a normal homing attack no other boss did that
Hopefully the Phantom Ruby isn't completely destroyed cuz I want to learn more of the Phantom Ruby and Infinite needs it. I definitely wouldn't mind if Infinite return, but if the Phantom Ruby is destroyed, then honestly I don't see how Infinite being a threatening villain. He definitely should be in Team Sonic Racing and the Olympics games along with Sonic OC, but how is he gonna be a threat to Sonic or a rival to Shadow if the phantom ruby got destroyed? I mean if Shadow woop Infinite's ass less than 5 secs, then what chance does Infinite got against Sonic. Infinite was only a threat thanks to the power of the Ruby, without it, Infinite is low-key useless. Maybe he could train, but the only skill he got is using his sword, which good luck at least getting a scratch on Sonic. Maybe Eggman could improve Infinite's skills, but I don't see Eggman using Infinite again. Sonic Team might as well either make Infinite ally with Sonic or go back to the Jackal Squad or just forget Infinite completely if they don't bring back the Phantom Ruby.
Sorry for the long text btw, but still if the Phantom Ruby is gone, then I don't really see any potential in Infinite's character being improved. If the Phantom Ruby does come back, then hopefully Sonic Team don't waste Infinite's character like Zavok and his gang.
Well I personally see the potential both ways. Without the Phantom Ruby: He would likely struggle readjusting to how he was before fusing with it. On top of that, he'd be alone. Since he can't do much on his own, even with a sword. Yes, he was called "the ultimate mercenary" for a reason. He'd need to assemble a new squad since the Jackal Squad was taken down. With the Phantom Ruby: I can imagine it being damaged or a small part remaining intact. Providing a lot less power, making his powers more limited. Not on a grand scale as in Forces. But somehow/someway it's repaired. Making it even more powerful than before. Doing things it couldn't even do originally. Then about the only way to deal with that is with the Chaos Emeralds, the trick is gathering the real ones. I know, typical Sonic final boss idea. But hey, it's how I'd see Infinite's return going.
@@BlueKnightV20 The repair idea, i got one idea. Sounds crazy but still cool cuz more lore for the Phantom Ruby. What if half of the Phantom Ruby still has the power to teleport and it teleports Infinite to an unknown dimension. The Phantom Ruby can react on its own, evident by how it teleported Classic Sonic and even Classic Eggman to another dimension. That unknown dimension could be key to how Infinite could repair the Phantom Ruby and get enough training to defeat Sonic and his friends. Also that unknown dimension could be where the Phantom Ruby originated from.
@@chillihog1543 Sounds like an interesting idea. Although I should point out that the Phantom Ruby originated from Classic Sonic's dimension...still sounds odd to say after playing Generations.
@@BlueKnightV20 I mean Sonic Team could change the Phantom Ruby's origins tho. Sonic Team still didn't give enough backstory on how the Phantom Ruby was stuck in Angel Island, so they could change it to where the Phantom Ruby originated from and how it was buried underneath Angel Island. Plus, Sonic Team ain't strangers to changing up or reckoning things. Remember Classic Sonic, 06, Gens Timeline, and etc. Hell I even remember one Sonic fan asking one of the Sega employee Aaron Webber about what's canon in the Sonic Community. His answer, "Just imagine whatever Sonic game u want as canon :)". So the Phantom Ruby originated from it's original dimension wouldn't be to out of the question. Also Sonic Team gotta explain why the Phantom Ruby teleported Classic Sonic and Eggman to another dimension and what's with it's reaction to the Chaos Emeralds.
What you say about infinite seems to be true, another thing is, if Sega brings him back then how did infinite return and others wonders what happened to infinite.
He could come back with mastering the power of phantom ruby beats shadow then defeats silver in there super forms shows them he can easily summon the sun n end it now but he wants to play more kinda like perfect cell n he wants to destroy sonic he keeps his loyalty to eggman then after sonic defeats him he shames him tells infinite to get stronger then Metal sonic comes saves infinite he takes the phantom ruby n puts it n his generator gets a new form sonic beats metal infinite escapes in a pod waking up to a insulting eggman infinite decides he no longer will take orders from the eggman empire he will start the rule of infinite then he can seek out the jackal squad bring them back n give them power of the ruby n rule the world. I would take this infinite way more serious I’m my opinion
As much as I would like for Infinite to get a conclusion to his story, I fear he may never return. He's not allowed to appear in the IDW comics according to Ian Flynn, and he didn't appear in Team Sonic Racing or Mario and Sonic Tokyo 2020. Things aren't looking good for him.
1.) Infinite the Jackal is not coming back anymore, because Sonic and his friends killed him at the end of Sonic Forces (causing the Phantom Ruby to disintegrate him) 2.) If Infinite is off-limits in both Sonic video games and comic books, perhaps someone will replace him in the series (but the question is who and what?) 3.) Shadow the Hedgehog needs another enemy/rival (it can't always be "Sonic" or neither "Dr. Eggman") it has to be someone else.
(Sigh) What's the point, there are no origins for Infinite and the Jackal Squad. I guess their history is forgotten. Because Sega doesn't care. What a waste. (Sniff)
