I know it's not the fastest time ever, but it's pretty good I think. I also threw in some of my mistakes for comedy's sake, since they were recorded anyway.
God this brings back painful memories, after the rocket I kept dying, the speed in the sections where you wanted to go slow were really fucking painful. Also damn that death near the end
This is actually pretty impressive for a version of the game that was probably more of an afterthought. It could do without Sonic going "Uagh!" constantly while boosting though.
Specialopsdave I doubt you will see this, but in the 360 version, you can hold the button to boost so you heard it less. Also, Andy, the only reason that happens is that they ported the wii version to the ps2, and you have to shake the remote to constantly boost. You can't hold that down unless you want loads of arm pain. They did not bother to allow you to hold down the button on classic controller(Which was the base for the ps2 controller when the ported it over. And since the gc controller is the classic controller config with different button layouts, that didn't allow it either.
Yeah I had this version when I was much younger but never managed to finish it because of how young I was and how hard this stage was (I even got my mum to try beat it for me LMAO)
Considering the PS2 came out in 2000 and this version of Sonic Unleashed was actually supposed to be Wii exclusive until Dimps realized they could port down their demake further onto PS2 to get extra sales from the 150 million install base, I'd say Unleashed PS2's existence is brilliant and still fairly impressive for a post-generation PS2 title.
MAN, this takes me back... I've played the PS2 and XBOX 360 versions of this game; and I remember having the HARDEST time on this level in PS2 specifically. Especially if you have to lose over 76 times or more just to get an S rank. That shit was fucking frustrating. In sheer contrast, I was shocked at how easily I got an S rank on this same level on the 360 version on the FIRST try.
Some kids take well to gaming! I dunno if I could've done that if it had been released back when I was 4, but I did beat Mega Man X at 5 years old and within a couple years started giving my older brother and his friends a run for their money at some games.
Oh cool! Kinda similar with me, except the first console I got to play at 2 or 3 years old was an NES, then after a bit my brother let me play his SNES too. PS1 was eventually a big part of my childhood too though!
Great run bro! honestly had no idea about the ring at 0:53 but minus a few hesitations at certain parts that are understandably hard I'd say this is a next to perfect run, good stuff!

Exactly. The Wii's a generation above the PS2 and therefore it's the more powerful of the 2. Either way, it was just an observation and it's to be expected
@GalufBlackMage True that! Some games really push the Wii's graphical capabilities so that they look beautiful and as close to HD as possible. Sonic Colors is proof of that :)
Sonic unleashed on ps2 is like the hardcore mode of Xbox kkkkkkk there's so many bugs and is so hard, controlling Sonic to fall to death was almost impossible kakakaka
How is it weird? Do you mean the control setup? Because you can use the Gamecube controller. As an owner of a PS3 I agree about the graphics, but I've always been a Nintendo guy. Barring Generations, which I love, Nintendo tends to handle Sonic the best. I mean, the PS3 and 360 versions of Unleashed are basically carbon copies of each other, where as the Wii version provides its own unique experience
Where is the pain and despair of the level? Playstation 2 and Nintendo Wii players, your eggmanland does not compare to us PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players, your eggmanland is very, very, very easy

Close. PS3, PS2, Wii, and Xbox 360. PS3 & 360 were one version of the game, and PS2/Wii was another with mostly the same story but completely different levels.

You press the boost button a bit early to fall flat. Close to on time, you blast off. Perfect, you get a blast off and a free boost. Nothing, and you get a walking start
I have the Wii version of this and I have to say the PS2 version's graphics look kinda crappy by comparison. Even though the Wii isn't HD, it just seems more fluid and detailed
The Wii and PS2 version of this game sucks. Should've tried to make it more similar to the PS3 and 360 versions. I hate it because of the weird boosting, Mazuri is only there for a boss fight (no stages), there is no Empire City, and other reasons. The worst part is that this is the only eggmanland day stage. There are six night stages.
