I remember reading somewhere that Shadow and Knuckles would've originally been present, presumably offering speed sections at night and beat-em-up sections at day respectively
I really wanted Unleashed to have more playable characters (and not just be able to play with Modern Sonic and Werehog). But, Sonic Unleashed is good as it is. Maybe in a future remaster of Sonic Unleashed, they might put some characters from the Sonic series to be playable (and it would be pretty cool)
It was supposed to have playable characters but because of the dumb fans who hated Sonic’s friends they scraped that item and been makeing sonic only playable ever since fun fact a sonic only game was anther reason why sonic 06 failed if the team didn’t split to make two games at the same time sonic 06 or maybe 07 would of been good game and we would of never got the meta era which gave us sonic forces
As much as I love UltimateDarkman's REAL Knuckles mod, I think I might prefer this one for a single reason: Knuckles actually does a flip when jumping between grind rails.
This is neat. But something I REALLY want to see are the Wii Unleashed Day Stages ported to the 360/PS3 Unleashed. I have so many fond memories of that version 😊!!
Sonic Unleashed would have been nice if we had multiple playable characters indead of just Sonic and The Werehog. Sonic Unleashed is still looking good. Maybe in an eventual re-release on modern hardware, who knows ? These mods add an unique touch to the game making it even greater. Still a blast to play even in 2021 😀👍
If more characters had appeared in sonic unleashed ( like shadow, rouge, knuckles, cream) the game would be so much better, even if their had appeared just in the story But if there was more playble character (knuckles instead of werehog stages) the game would be even better
I was hoping that sega at some point made more werehogs forms of other characters like Amy silver and shadow since there the only hedgehogs in the series
Why Sonic Modern Games isn't like this ? Multiple playable characters and not just Sonic -_- It's great to play as the Blue Bur but, what's about Tails ? Like in Sonic Colors, he's... just there... in the cutscenes... Amy and Knuckles too ! Why have they stopped doing multiple playable characters outside of the "party" games like Team Sonic Racing & the Olympics Games with Mario, it would be really cool if they do like the Sonic Advance series (maybe only Sonic Advance 3 with the partnership, to be able to play a "story" game in co-op !)
That's because Boost Formula is only for Sonic (well of course Shadow and Metal Sonic and stuff too) but yeah, that's a reason why the Adventure Formula needs to be back

Maybe if we ever get an "Unleashed Ultimate", there could be a multiplayer mode where you can race as different characters for the day stages, and the night stages would just be a bunch of werehogs doing combat
It would be cool, yet I don't see this being a thing, since a lot of moves will have to be overhauled and that will take work... *If we got other playable characters in the Night stages too,* seeing Amy deck a nightmare in the head with that hammer, and of course, *& Knuckles.* You can't not have Sonic Unleashed Night *& Knuckles,* 06-styled attacks and everything. I see another commenter has the same idea too lol-

In a few aspects, the Tails, Knuckles, and Amy mods are honestly way better than the ones in Generations in my opinion. Unlike Generations mods, they have jump auras, boost auras etc. Though at least they have their own animations for the most part in Generations mods.
It looks like that the other "sonic" characters don't function properly in this "mod" which means that this is considered a complete failure basically! >:/
I personally am indifferent with the multiple playable characters thing, i just like to go super fast as sonic. Still waiting for the "aggressive porting" sega said they'd do last year. I was hoping that'd mean some sonic games are coming, but here we are, emulating still lol
Honestly in my opinion we had of enough games of Sonic being solo in his games for over a decade. Last time we had multiple playable characters was in 2006! I get we all have different preferences but its time to have more playable characters during this decade hopefully.
