In Sonic Adventure Super Sonic was required to beat Perfect Chaos. However, later on Base Sonic was enough to destroy that same exact enemy. This means that Base Sonic has (somehow) achieved infinite power already. In other words, not only would Base Sonic be enough, but a Super Sonic would quite literally have infinite^2 power.
