Displayed at the 1996 E3 convention in Atlanta, this promotional video showed Sonic X-Treme in early stages of development and was a part of SEGA's "The Revolution Begins" campaign.
As much as it would have been interesting to see looking back at it now, knowing everything that happened afterwards, I feel Sonic X-Treme would have turned out to have been a bad game, with only a few parts of it that were ok like running down tunnels. I think in the end, the full 3D engine they made for Sonic Jam and Sonic R would have been the way to go and I would have happily played a full 3D Sonic adventure game with Sonic R's engine, draw distance and all. Still, great footage here, thanks for sharing.
