Smoke is cool, but if you can’t teleport cancel to create pressure his attacks are slow enough to be interrupted and feels challenging to open someone up if they know his move set.
I think Smoke is one character that suits Sonic Fox's style of play. I look forward to seeing how Sonic Fox would transform him into a phenomenal kombatant.
Smoke takes a certain kind of player to master. Need a 3rd eye, the one that played FoxyGrampa was the 1st I've seen that utilized all his tools in unique ways
Theres people in the comments saying Smoke is OP and others saying Smoke isnt a good character because hes super punishable and slow. I think its all about the skill of the person holding the controller/keyboard
Mortal kombat smoke suggested changes I've been playing smoke exclusively since mk1 came out, and I think 🤔 there's some changes that I'd like to see made to him that could make him feel like a better character. In my opinion. Let's start with his invisibility. When Smoke goes invisibility, I think he should recover a little little quicker, I believe he recovers at 28fr which is too many when he uses up his resources to go invisible. I'll just spit it out I think going invisible should be recover in 3fr, (here me out) as it stands smoke has gaps in pretty much everything he does ( with the exception of face walk: that his running jump kicks). Allowing hime to go invisible and be safe to block or try to apply pressure make more sense than him having gaps everywhere and* if he goes invisible next to the opponent (a move that dosent do any damage and he has to use a bar to do it ) gets instantly punish. I also feel his air teleport shouldn't be -28. Maybe it doesn't use resources, but It also dosent do any damage, so I'm thinking -5. This will allow it to still be negative yet safe enough for him to try and still a turn from an opponent who's not on point. Up next is his hit grab from f,1,2 grab comb. I've thought this over, and the grab part of the combo needs to be an actual mid grab, not a hit grab. I know you're probably asking why a mid grab and not a high. Wouldn't that make the sequence too strong? Well here's my reasoning after the forward 1 there's a gap before the 2 and there's a gap before the hit throw meaning the opponent can armor through every part of this combo its seem counter intuitive to make the last hit duckable to the opponent and armor-able. It makes sense to reward smoke with a more threatening attack if he's made it to the third hit (and keep in mind though they can't duck punch their way out they can still armor out and jump so I feel a mid grab is fare. Now finally I think if smoke is going to have gaps on every single string he has he should have a mid starting string. Originally i thought he didn't have any mid starting combos because of his low overhead mix-up, but if all his strings are going to have gaps from start from finish why would you exclude him from mind checking ducker? Lastly his cancel need to be able to be done before he terns into smoke the way its is now is just something to mess up the smoke player its not needed. Well let me know if you like or hate my ideas and please feel free to leave your own ideas on how smoke could be improved 😉
Yall gotta understand that everybody doesn’t play smoke the same. If I had to describe what type of player sonicfox is, I would say he is a Setup Mixer. Everything he does is a setup to get mixed up in the worst way possible & he can either be conservative or aggressive, but either way, he’s one of the Gods of Mortal Kombat like myself 💯
I think at a pro level, they saw the throws coming. Between mk1 throw is only 11%, and you put the opponent back to neutral, so no more pressure.. Mk11 throw were something else😂 14 % in the beginning of the game, and insane 31% krushing blow without meter
Yeah... this looks so fun but idk if ill ever have time to learn these kombos and the kombos of the whole kast to play like this. Just Smash and a bit of tekken but maybe if we get a covid part 2 i can grind this
I beat a smoke yes I was playing omni man but he made a big fit about me using a broken character and I couldn't help but laugh. Don't get me wrong I love smoke but he is a little op.
