Sonicware Mega Synthesis Jam 

Hey, if you have any questions, hit me up! This thing is pretty insane. It does do a lot and I absolutely love it. I definitely have not mastered it yet, but I feel like I’ve got some general knowledge on the live in series that I could share with you if you have any questions. I have another Jim video coming up right now actually with it, but I used the smpltrek to control it because I used it with another synth as well. I was doing a little combination thing. Hey, thanks for subscribing. I really appreciate it and I’m glad you enjoyed the gym! I just put out another one actually the other day with my.SEQTRAK. That is a good question as far as which of the two to purchase I have not tried the eight bit warps. I’ve heard really good things about it and I want to order one. I just haven’t got around to it yet. The mega synthesis is pretty awesome and has a lot of capability, and I really like it, but I can’t honestly compare the two audibly for you as far as which to buy. I have most of the sonic where offerings the ones are missing our basin beats, warps, and.XFM. I even have a ELZ and LOFI-12 XT ON order. If I were picking on specs I’d probably get the Mega Synthesis, it has 6 total track built in 3 FM, 2 PSG, and 1 PCM (sampler). So in capabilities, I feel like the mega synthesis is better. However, the 8bit Warps is pretty cool if you’re trying to make chip tunes. Because the sounds of the psychogenesis were kind of starting to advance past. I’ll say typical chip tune, chip tunes. If that makes sense let me see if I can pick one up and actually give it a look over and see if I would recommend it over the mega synthesis. If you want, I can check it out and see what I think but if you’re looking to buy soon, I would just say go with the mega synthesis if you can, I think that it has more capabilities that will keep your interest longer than 8BW. and believe I’m not putting down the 8bit I definitely want one but if you have to pick one over the other that is what I would do. I hope that helps either way. Let me know what you decide to do. I would love to hear what you come up with. And a lot of the liven devices operate, similarly, and could be seen in a sense of being a little tricky here and there once you get used to them, they feel more natural to you. There’s a little teeny trick to that that you may like and you may not like it depends how many samples you intended to use…. It’s a trick I use on the circuit rhythm to fake polyphony without wasting channels because every note on there is monophonic. Given punch a different sample into each slot in the 16 beat grid. But you can’t on one instrument get them to play together, like you wanted to have a kick and a clap at the same time or a high hat and a kick. He is the trick… Get yourself a copy of audacity and when you make your samples to be brought over there instead of thinking that you have sex, think that you have maybe three and then for 45 and six layer, the clap and the kick together, or the clap the kick, and the high hat together whatever you wanted to do for combination, use the other three slots, or as few, or as many, as you need of the six to do that And you can then polyphony. It’s a trick from back in the days when I used to use trackers and you only had four channels of sound. @@Cap10NRGMusic yo, i have the bass&beats and i love it. I used to have the Korg emx1 and 2 esx1 and i sold them all omly because the bass and beats and the sonicware samplers do the same for 1/3 of the price. I also have the Lofi 12.. and i will be getting the smpltrek or but for sure the texture lab. Nowdays you are getting sued for every sample you use and i have some mpc at home and i also make diferent kind of music as well since im a songwriter and producer. These gadgets help me a lot finding the right tone im looking for… And sometimes the answer is… sh““+t da f###k up and make techno. Works very well.. also the workflow i have with the bass and beats for example is way different from what you see here online.. You can use this way more then most people do or i belive 99%. All those who say that these devices are not intuitive… never laughted so much about these comments. For sure you have to fight with the mind of the developer of this machine but once you find out the way he thought its just a blast. I belivee when you only try to archive things the easy way then you will never make difficult things happen. Love sonicware.. love what they are doing and i saw successful people with less d7nxtionality with their stuff … no excuses … no hate.. the only fail is your brain thats my opinion on all these bla bla bla reviewers

Sorry, not the same sound engine as what, the Genesis? I mean it’s not exactly the same… As far as I know there’s no Z 80 processor in this unit, which was responsible for a lot of the sound you would hear coming out of the SEGA Genesis (I’m sure the motor 68,000 chip is not in here either) but the components of this engine as far as capabilities and emulation of the genesis are definitely here. You can hear it in any of the music that is included as demo songs. It’s a great unit personally I love it. Now given, I am a huge fan of the Sega Genesis, and all things Sega at the time… So maybe I’m a fanboy on this one. But if it sounds good , it is good. And it really does bring back all those vibes and feelings from back when I was in my late teens early 20s.

@dpalaoro god, I wish you had the actual Yamaha ship that would be freaking amazing! My next question would be where is the Dev kit? Lol being that I’m a developer in real life, I’d love to get my hands on that chip in this modern synthesizer that I could actually develop with that would be insane!
