Richard is there a number to get a hold of u so I can get my 2006 dodge transmission rebuild iv hade 8 transmissions and all thes builders suck I would be so stoked if I could get u to build me one???
Just some food for thought... seeing you tear down and analyze the Getrag/NVG3500 5-speed manual transmissions found in a multitude of GM trucks from the 90s and 2000s would be awesome. As numerous as those things are, I and a lot of other people would love to hear your thoughts on them. Also, really looking forward to seeing one of the newer 8-speed GM automatics (if one comes through your shop at some point) since they are coming of age now so as to start needing rebuilds.
Yup! The Sonnax is the way to go. Someone commented in the previous video the the 2 lug band aid repair caused the problem. If the splines weren't wearing out they would not have come up with the 2 lug "repair". Better alloy steel and case hardening is the best option.
Hmm.. The Sonnax female part has much thinner walls in the spline end compared to the other one. From a look it seems to me that the other modified set can withstand more torque than the sonnax.
