In tribute to the passing of Betty White, here is Betty on Sonny & Cher's 1976 show doing what Betty did best, making people smile. Rest In Peace Betty...you'll be deeply missed...
The 70s was better period. I'm so glad I got to be born in the 60s. Best era of cars, people were happy, strong, didn't get their feelings hurt so easy. No cellphones, computers. I think that's why movies were better then. People developed imagination. We had to. People would be happier without the cellphones and computers once they got over the shock. I know I would go back and stay.
@@donnamccullough1375 I'd love to see what she'd look like today had she not had one lick of work done in the past on her face. It would be startling. And probably much better. I love Cher but plastic surgery often starts an OCD pattern and you become something too smooth and tight and unnatural looking.
And it was obvious when she spoke so lovingly, admiringly, respctfully and emotionally at his funeral. Divorce can make a relationship better, when parties can move on from their shared problems.
@@lindaclark9925 - That was their signature style. They put each other down in ligh-hearted ways (perhaps you're too young to have watched them over the years that they played off each other?).
Beautiful, fun memories. Sonny & Cher had undeniable chemistry and magic together. God bless dear Betty White's soul and what a wonderful life she had...plus, the rich legacy she left to us all!❤
I’m here after reading Cher’s sweet tweet upon Betty White’s passing. Look for it, you’ll love it. Rest In Peace, Betty White. You will be forever missed, forever remembered ♥️
The outfit in the beginning shows how timeless Cher is. Gosh this brings me so many wonderful memories. RIH Betty White🥰❤❤....she also eternally gorgeous 😍
I totally agree! I bought my mom a bunch of the Carol Burnett Show DVD'S, now I want to watch them. It's gonna snow here again, i should get those DVD'S out & have a marathon day/night watching these awesome shows! 🥰
So glad we have all these old classics! They don't make television like they used to! Only the one and only Betty White could pull off a beautiful dress like that! As always a class act!!!
My family, all 6 of us, would crowd into the family room to watch this show. I had to sit on the floor, but i didn't mind. Cher was my idle. I was 6 years old when this came out. The TV wasn't big. The image didn't have many pixels compared to today's standards. Didn't matter. It was family time.
How we loved them! US on the big screen! After all the stuffy, boring oldies we BUSTED out with Cher’s navel! So grateful I had such a rock and roll youth!
Thanks for posting this video live from CBS television city. Please post more of these great videos. RIP to all who have not gone away, merely gone ahead until we see them again 💔. Please be thankful of the beautiful memories we all possess of our beloved loved ones who have gone ahead. Memories of these loved ones are how they continue to live in our hearts and memories until we meet them again never more to part ♥
Always loved them. Was sorry for what happened to Sonny. I know he will always be in Cher's heart. I love Cher, I go to her concerts, she's awesome. The loss of Betty White was a heartbreaking thing for many.❤❤❤❤
Great show! Pure fun and funny. Betty White really shines, what a talented lady. Ken Barry and Flip Wilson were wonderful as well. Cher loves old films so much, she must have had a blast with her Lana Turner. Nice to hear Sonny and Cher sing, Sam Cooke's, "Bring Your Sweet Lovin' Home to Me". Thanks for sharing.
How I miss our Legend Betty White. I adore this actress since 2019 because of the clips I saw from Facebook which is The Golden Girls and I really love them all. So sad, I met this wonderful woman so late. A fan from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Cher always had amazing style and her outfits so cool ! Rest in Peace Betty White now you have animals to care for in Heaven! love this blue outfit she has here!!
It just was odd after they got a divorce. My parents always had 7 toes in the divorce pit. Anything around that subject made me shiver. So glad that's over
RIP Betty. YOU ere and are the best.! Keeping a straight face during the Doctors skit. So Classic of you.! Your talent is a great loss to the acting and comic community.
Thanks BJ, I don't like to post a whole show as it doesn't belong to me so I basically just post individual performances of Cher but Betty was such a delight throughout this whole show that I wanted viewers to see a little of Betty's versitility that was displayed so well on this Sonny & Cher show.
Thanks for sharing this! I loved Sonny and Cher, adored Betty White and had crushes on Ken Berry and Lyle Wagner. I was in 8th grade when this aired. 💖💖💖
I remember very well on Sunday nights this show would be my one thing I looked forward to before bed and I couldn't wait to see what Cher was going to have on. She was always gorgeous! Also one of the funniest actors of the time. I miss these days. You couldn't get away with this these days. The pronouns would be all wrong. Anyway, I'm enjoying this and I just realized it's Sunday! Maybe a little under 50 years later but still just as funny and she's still just as beautiful! So was Betty White! I miss knowing she's on this earth. RIP Betty. You're with Alan now.
RIP Betty White ❤ (And also RIP to the other talented cast members. I recognize many of them but don't know them by name.) The intro with Sonny & Cher singing "My Cheri Amore" was sad. "Pretty little one that I adore, how I wish that you were mine" they were divorced by this time, but he still felt that way about her. 💔 "The Cutsie News" 😆 reminds me of the Smothers Brothers for some reason. Same era, I suppose. I have no idea HOW I recall any of this, as I was only new borne during the Carter era. I watched re-runs, maybe? Re-runs use to be a big thing, before there were a thousand channels and a million apps.
I miss the old black & white movies that would run when I was a kid. Now, there are so many old color movies, they'll never run another black & white film again unless it's Halloween and a channel like MeTV runs an old Dracula film.
this was the 2nd incarnation of their show.the 1st was the Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour.by this time they had divorced, but decided to give it one more shot professionally.
