Sonoma Raceway (Full) Trackguide. This configuration is used for most track and race days but you can use this as a guide for other configurations as well. This video will help you learn how to identify corner numbers and learn where to look for manned flag stations. You can also use to reference driving line and braking points. This was shot on an average 70*F day. If you haven't been here before know it is common for the morning sessions to be foggy, so stay off the painted curbing until it becomes completely dry because it can be slippery. #sonomaraceway #trackguide #trackday

Great job, man! It would be great if you could keep making videos like this, and usually on the track, it's great to see you driving. And thank you so much for the view on the pedals, it's awesome. For the next videos, would it be possible to put the pedal cam back to see your two feet please? :)

Constantin Renoir thank you for the input! I’m glad this was useful for you. The pedal can angle that I was using here was a last minute idea. That was the only point that my GoPro sticky mount actually would stick to since it was part of a still support that runs over my legs. I will play around with it more and find an angle that will show both my feet. Thanks!

Just perfect. And how I drive. To not ever break into a curve and accelerate in with the curve. I would so love to line up some practice lessons. And I am so very near to you all. I was just tooling around back in my teens when it was called Sears Point. And by and was blown away that I was chosen to be among the first women to NASCAR. And was due to the Pit Stop folks. Johnny Urban (RIP) was a friend since were children. We'd build Mine Bikes Go Carts and all of that fun. I don't have a fear of Driving. I have a fear of being burned and living. And I love working and playing with Children, Youths and their folks. Racing Cars and being with horses are the TOP 2 to provide their self confidence. Thank you so much that wad fun!

I love these videos, I have the same car, same color, completely stock. I would love to see video of your car on the track from the outside. Thanks for letting me know what my car is capable of.

Can we see a video about how to prep for your first track day? Things to check for, maintenance to do pre track, things people forget and such? I've never tracked my fiesta ST and I'd like to but I don't know how to start

Great idea, there are some videos out there I remember seeing a few years ago. I would try to make sure I don’t repeat too much of what is already said. I’ll probably make one talking about that pretty soon, thanks for the idea!

Once you do bikes long enough, getting back in a car is ridiculous easy and you're technique is completely different than before bikes. Nice heel-toe @ 2:35

I am interested in learning how track your car. I live in Norcal, Modesto. What do you think should I start with? Aka 1st step?.
@BenFreedmanRacing
@BenFreedmanRacing 4 года назад
Hey Rhazzoren, I actually just filmed a couple videos covering this and I will be posting them soon! Make sure you subscribe and ring that bell to be notified when they come out. A couple things I’d suggest is watching onboard footage which you are doing, the next would be reading some high performance driving books like “Think Fast” or “Going Faster”. My videos will cover what to bring for a track day and how to prepare yourself and your car for a track day.

@@BenFreedmanRacing Sounds good. Hope you'll discuss how and where to start. Like entry level where you can experience it first with minimal gear, preparation, then decide if it's something that is for you.
@BenFreedmanRacing
@BenFreedmanRacing 4 года назад
Rhazzoren L I do discuss what gear you need to bring at a minimum. I don’t give any specific examples of car clubs that provide helmets because people watch these videos around the country and it wouldn’t apply to them. But if you came out to an event I am at (most likely with SpeedSF) I have an extra helmet, torque wrench, and air pressure gauge you can use. The other things you would need to bring would be inexpensive

@@rhazzorenl3861 A great place to start would be autocross events. It's cheaper and less risk of banging up your car while learning.
