Open passing (gold/slow advanced) group. Lots of fast drivers in the group, but I was able to keep up I think. I beat my PB by almost 6 seconds, so I was pretty stoked about that. I can definitely do a 1'51 since the first half of my PB lap was trash (another bad turn 2). Regardless, my goal is now sub 1'50. Maybe I can do that in a couple years...
The day started out really nice and cool, but it got hot by noon which led to more problems. The car started cutting power during session 4, and it was definitely not fuel starvation (had a full tank). After chatting with the actual car people, I was told that I should be running higher octane fuel when the track's hot (b58 things apparently). I might do that moving forward, but after reviewing the tapes, it could be a heat problem. My oil got up to 258F, which is fine I think, but my coolant was also over 220F. I'm not sure if that's still within acceptable range.
Setup notes:
Reducing the rear camber really helped stabilize the car when putting power down, which gave me confidence in a lot of the turns (main reason for overall faster times). FR tire wore evenly, but the insides of my FL wore a little bit more (maybe by less than 0.5/32"). The insides of my rears wore noticeably faster, so we'll need to remove more rear camber. Easiest solution is to raise the car. Hopefully we can get rid of the rubbing too.
