2 Era 300s and a sub mini gives a phenomenal experience that fills the room with spatial sound. Add a beam gen 2, and you get a great home theater too

Obviously the 300 outer shell design is designed specifically for the tech it houses. But aesthetically I personally am not keen on it. And due to its odd shape this could quickly become shelved by consumers who want a more classic aesthetic when it comes down to looks.

Which sounds better a pair of homepods or a single era 300?

Keep seeing everyone say that Sonos "make" you buy the line in adapter that they somehow made proprietary. Thats actually not true. The cheap ones you buy are wired for Digital sound to go in and pass out analogue (eg from phone to headphones) I.E DAC. The speakers are looking for analogue in and digital out. So you can hookup say turntable and have the sound converted to digital for multi room or multi speaker processing. There is nothing inherently proprietary about the adapter - its just that none (or almost none) of the existing ones are wired this way round.
